Welcome to the Casual Song Contest! The Casual Song Contest (commonly abbreviated CSC) is a contest which will be hosted by Aless (Aless ) and Apo (Apostolis ). ClassifiedCat will also be part of the council of the contest. The contest is inspired by both the Astounding Song Contest and the Bombinate Song Contest. In this contest everyone will be assigned a random country to participate with. Unlike the Bombinate Song Contest, the players won't be drawn into pots. The council will select the participating countries after the submissions are closed. This is to manage the variety of countries depending on the number of participants, as the number of participants per edition could change depending on how many users decide to confirm. Rules 1. You're not able to choose the country you will represent. The decision will be made randomly through a draw of countries that the council have chosen. Players will have to choose an entry from that country they’ve received. 2. Artist(s) must have a close connection to the country they represent, such as birth place or residence. 3. Songs from the Eurovision Song Contest, its snip-offs and its national selections won’t be allowed to participate. 4. Covers are not allowed. This is to avoid geographical confussions between original singers and the ones who covered the song. 5. The winner of each edition is allowed to choose the country (s)he will participate with outof the list of the selected countries that will take part in the next edition. 6. The format (semi-finals and final) will depend on the number of participants of each edition. 7. You don't need to send your entry for approval. Still, your entry could be not approved at the thread in the case the song is unoriginal or not valid. Any doubt? Ask below! |
