Sign in to compete in the first edition!
Hello;
My name is Angelino. After having participated over several online music competitions, i decided to start my own one.
From tonight till
Though most concepts for online music competitions work rather with single persons controlling one nation, the European Song Contest will focus on communities. Therefor we highly recommend to choose to participate with the country/community you're related most to. Whoever finds their nation to be left outside the contest, can decide to become HoD (Head of Delegation) and put the country in the contest. Whenever a second person finds their nation to be already taken, he/she is able to join the other person to form a community. The HoD is obliged to give every member of their community a chance to both select the entry as well as to vote during the contest. The way how both the entries and the voting results are conducted are totally up to each community. For example, a community can either decide to select their entry through a discussion, or pull up an national preselection with the entire community.
Participating is FREE and because of the desire to form communities you might as well meet alot of people from your own country/region and use both of your skills to compete against the others. Becoming HoD and thus the first person to pick this particular country is not something to be afraid of. Whenever more persons choose to join your country/community you can decide with them how this community will be lead and function during the contest. Whenever there is trouble you can always contact the Executive Supervisor, Angelino.
The following list of countries are enabled to participate in the contest

As Executive Supervisor i will not compete myself, in order to maintain a neutral position during the entire proces. Whenever a nation is picked by a person, the name of the HoD will be placed next to it and a email link to make contact. The HoD can then redirect that person to join a random chatbox through any form of social media.
For now i will only focus on the participation proces. Further news and rules about voting and number of shows will be released after the first deadline on December 15th. I do however can leak that the winner of every edition will be granted to help constructing the next edition. Whoever will host the first edition will also be revealed later on.
Rules on selecting an entry:
- The artist needs to be either born or currently living in the nation you participate with. As for groups, the country of origin will the only thing that matters.
- Only Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco and Liechtenstein can borrow from their neighbours.
- A special status will be granted to former-Soviet, former-Czechoslovakian and former-Yugoslav nations. For these nations any artist born before the breakup can participate for any of the successorstates. So for example an artist born in Czechoslovakia in 1989 can either participate for Slovakia as well as for the Czech Republic, no matter the region he/she's born at.
- Only songs which are released 3 months before the contest can compete, in order to stimulate new music and prevent old classics we've all heard a Thousand times.
- There will be no ban on any entry, as long as they follow the rules above. This means you can use any type or genre of music.
For any other questions you can direct them to me on this forum.
I hope to embrace you soon in this newest contest.
Greetings, Angelino, Executive Supervisor of the European Song Contest.
