I already mentioned a few days ago, that  Latvia in this edition will be represented by a collaboration of world-wide superstar and someone from Latvia! As the "cover theme" for special editions still isn't a thing, I thought - why not use a cover... but it's not a simple cover! It's the Best.Cover.Ever.!!!  And here's our mysterious superstar... Bebe Rexha!
P.S. Don't tell me you expected this! Oh yeah - she's ready for this!  This superstar will be accompanied by our own local band - Double Faced Eels! Don't want to reveal the international artist, so the video of the song is in the spoiler down below Bebe Rexha ft. isn't this basically just Bebe singing her own song with a Latvian band? I don't want to be an asshole but this is just one live performance (therefore not an officially released cover) and I don't feel like that's enough to send such a huge singer for a country like Latvia  |

if you use the full-body picture of the band, then, please, use also the same for Bebe, whilst if you use the upper-body pic of the band, then, please, do the same for Bebe Thank's!  I can't really promise that... It depends on how the image will look better. |

I don't want to be an asshole but this is just one live performance (therefore not an officially released cover) and I don't feel like that's enough to send such a huge singer for a country like Latvia Indeed, it might seem weird but the rules say that covers are allowed and also in such a case, since the band is from  Latvia, then the entry can represent the country. It might seem "lame" indeed, as you're saying, but it's still allowed. |

It might seem "lame" indeed, as you're saying, but it's still allowed. but it technically is not a cover, it wasn't officially released (official covers are e.g. Leona Lewis with "Run" or Ellie Goulding with "Your Song") and Bebe was the artist of the "original" version as well. If this gets allowed then for example cover performances of casting shows should be allowed as well (if they aren't so far) because it's basically the same situation |
