Portland, ME - Today the confirmations for the 19th USAVision Song Contest from Portland, ME opened.
Rules
General Rules
1. Songs that competed in the (Junior) Eurovision (Asia) Song Contest are allowed.
2. Covers are allowed as long as they haven't already competed for another artist previously in the contest (they need approval from the host though).
3. The songs have to be released in 2010 or later.
4. National Selections are allowed.
5. Any participant is allowed to compete with up to 3 states. You are not allowed to give points to your own state or territory.
6. If you don't vote, you will be disqualified from the current edition and you will receive a warning. After 3 warnings you will be banned from the contest. You can ask for replacers but there is no guarantee that I will find one.
7. Vote

8. If we have more than 26 competing states, pre-qualifying-rounds will be held.
9. States can only be reserved for one edition. After that you have to be the first to confirm with the state in order to keep it.
10. A song is only accepted if the player posts/sends me a 20 - 25 second timeslot.
Who can and can't compete?
1. Eligible states are the 50 states of the United States plus the territories of
Puerto Rico, 
American Samoa, 
Guam, the 
US Virgin Islands and the 
Nothern Mariana Islands. The District of Columbia is also eligible to participate.
2. The chosen singer must have been born, raised, or have origins (e.g. parents) from there. If you are sending a group, at least one of the members has to be from that state.
3. Borrowing is not allowed.
4. An artist can only compete for one state in the contest.
