Welcome everybody!

Here in this thread you can discuss everything about our 63rd Edition in Canada!

The submissions officially start now, Deadline: Tuesday, 3rd of July! 

The rules of the last edition apply, here they are:

IMPORTANT: Confirming isn't enough, just a submitted song guarantees your place in the upcoming edition! Only the first 51 spots are safe, the people submitting afterwards will take part in a Pre-Qualification Round and compete for the 3 remaining spots, making it a field of 54 in the "main competition"! The maximum number of entries so that there is no Pre-Qualification Round is 55.

Already reserved are the hosts, the Top 3 from last edition and those who voted as members in the Rest of The World Jury last edition. If any of these fail to submit an entry in time, he/she will lose the secured place.

We're looking forward to receiving your entries!  

Please let us know if you want to withdraw so you don't get tagged anymore.

Right now in Russia a tournament that is uniting and splitting the world at the same time is happening , so it's time for a song made exactly for that! It's not very often Latvia can offer something like this, so once the chance has come I just have to take it!

You can leave the "One World" stamp at the bottom corner when cutting the pic, because it doesn't really affect the picture badly (it actually fits there pretty well) But if you have some problems with the picture, then contact me and I'll try to help.

P.S. Adelina wasn't actually the first choice for this music video - it was supposed to be Lady Gaga in her place, but apparently she couldn't make it, so that's where Adelina comes in the scene (she's a friend of Lady Gaga, so maybe that has something to do with it? Or maybe the fact that RedOne has already seen Adelina perform live, so that might also be the reason. ) Whatever the reason, I'm glad she is part of this MV

Rəhim Rəhimli & Alim Qasımov & Elnur Hüseynov are off to Canada to present the most experimental Azerbaijani entry to WWWSC community

Azerbaijan will be represented in the forthcoming edition of the WWWSC by a folk (mugham) opera song named 'Lift', a soundtrack of the reality show of the same name in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijani mugham, a highly complex and artistic form of folk composition, is included in the representative list of UNESCO Intangible cultural heritage since 2008. Alim Qasımov is considered a living legend of mugham music, and many of you perhaps recognize him from 2012 entry of Azerbaijan (When the music dies) in the Eurovision Song Contest, where he accompanied Sabina Babayeva with mugham music. He also represented Azerbaijan in the 41st edition of Retro WWWSC, with a duet with Coldünya, where an old Azerbaijani folk song was improvized to a folk-metal music piece. Speaking about the next genre - opera, it will be delivered to you by a twice Azerbaijani entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest and the winner of the Voice of Turkey, Elnur Hüseynov. Rəhim Rəhimli, a famous pop singer of Azerbaijan will assist mentioned two singers by playing in a piano. The song, nevertheless, contains an oriental dance rhythms, at the same time.
