Nineliese Story
The Harrowing aka spooky holiday
It is that time of the year in fantasia where most kids ( and some adults) dress as fictional characters and horrendous monsters to celebrate famous holiday Halloween. Here in Ninelie we have something similar, The Harrowing. Even though today it is mostly same as normal Halloween, it differs that it is more associated with sea and more darker.
It is believed that in the late October that is known, sea spirits come alive, haunting ships, taking souls with them. Huge dark black-blue storms known as "The Harrowing" come from the sea and undead come from it, attacking local ships for souls of the sailors and passengers that are on them. They sometimes attack coastal cities too. Scary I know , well it is only a myth as ghost storm was never recorded in human history, tho many storms happen around this time of the month so people associate them with urban legends and Nineliese folklore.
It is said that there was an isle near Ninelie long time ago that used to be a seperate Kingdom. Island was blessed with Flora and Fauna and was known as the Blessed Isle but suddenly it all changed. It is told that King's Wife of the Island suddenly fell ill and was fighting for her last breath. King ordered his loyal guards to search for the cure. Shortly after they've found mages of the coastal area of nowadays Ninelie that were supposedly able to heal, but in return unfortunately Queen has past away, even tho mages warned King that resurrection is a taboo, he threaten them to do it. Queen got resurrected but not in the form king has expected. She only got alive as an undead. She screamed in agony making the king turn mad. As his madness has taken over him he demolished the whole island cursing it as turning it into Shadow Isles. No one knows if that island even exists today but some sailors has swear they saw it and that it gave them terrors.
To prevent the Harrowings happening, people gather at the coasts of the local Nineliese cities dressed as monsters (mostly undead) and light up candles and bonfires and worship Hecate (her magic will protect Ninelie from The Harrowing as people believe in it).
people celebrating the Harrowing
Anyway before the Harrowing night, there are often cartoons and movies portraying the story of The Shadow Isles and The Harrowing You can see the little clip that describes what The Harrowing is here (Everish . Ver.)
For Everyone who found this event too spooky, remember that this is just a story and the folklore. There aren't any real evidence of The Harrowing Storms or The Shadow Isles even existing ( today's technology is too advanced) and it is just a tradition today to do so. Some do it to calm down Elderly people who still believe in this event being true.

MONTHLY NEWS UPDATE FROM JULIANA october // vol. II "Now with Pictures!"
NATIONWIDE CARNIVORE PROTEST!
Basquiat, CP -- Carnivores all across the nation protested after the Minister of Agriculture, Raymond Moses, implemented a 30% increase on taxes on animal related products, and barred trading companies from importing meat into the country. "This is absolutely outrageous" said a concerned citizen of Port Republic, ST and head of the CAJ (Carnivore Alliance of Juliana), Richard Donelly "Where do they expect us to get our protein huh? From Beans? Is that what they want us to eat? Do they want Juliana to be a country of "Soy Boys"?!." Moses announced these plans at the annual VeganCon in the South Pavillion of the Basquiat Expo Center. "Juliana will be fully vegan by 2020! I guarantee it!" he stated. According to a research by students of the University of Juliana - Nouvelle Sarindon, 62% of Juliana do not eat meat, with 33% identifying as either Pescatarian or Vegetarian while the rest identify as Vegan."
--- ARE MILLENNIALS KILLING THE CANNABIS INDUSTRY?
Papineau, PN -- A shocking discovery made by the Basquiat Harbinger, what was thought to be a booming industry is seeing it's first decline. Why? "It's those gosh darn millenials!" states Millard Faure, owner of the Ye Olde Dispensary in Papineau's II district. A recent study showed that millennials are bored of smoking marijuana. "A 20-something year old came to my shop and asked if he could huff the gas from the heater. Absolutely disgusting!" Mr. Millard says. More and more millennials are starting to go into harder stuff like meth, crack, cocaine, heroin, lsd, molly and just straight up sniffing glue. Is this the fault of decriminalization of all drugs on the islands? "Absolutely not!" states Hugh Bernier, Minister of Youth and Recreational Drugs. "If anything, it's a good thing and is good for our economy. The DIY industry is thriving in this economy, sure the cannabis industry is declining, but these are changing times." This is dividing the nation and we at the Harbinger cannot agree on a common ground on this issue, so we will leave it at that.
--- THE WORLD IS IN TURMOIL?
Come to Juliana! Surrounded by ocean aka no border conflicts. Our nearest neighbor is almost 3000 km away and everything is guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud

YURIAKUT24 Arrest of 643 protesters protesting pension reform On Saturday October 27, 30.000 protesters gathered in Yuriakut, alongside 10.500 in other cities across the nation to protest what has been touted as the largest reform to Flírskmasto's pension system since the creation of the state. The pension reform, which was outlined in September 2018, proposed a two year increase of the retirement age from 60 to 62. The bill has passed the lower house with a wide margin and is currently waiting for a vote in the upper house.
Protesters gathered in the cities as anger builds among the population at the reforms which, with the passing of the first stage are closer to becoming reality. The protests began to turn violent when the protest was infiltrated by unknown groups. This resulted in a deployment of the Flírsk armed forces onto the streets of cities, with an estimated 643 arrests carried out in the afternoon.
Claims of violence and torture have been brought to attention, however, both the Flírsk military and police have denied any wrongdoing, stating that they are carrying out the will of the state in the detention of protesters.
Meeting With Prunia On Monday 15 October, head of state Wladimir Cetenivk met with the Prunian queen Queen Jill. After a morning tour of Flírskmasto's mountain regions, the two met at Cetenivk's residence in Solyalea in the north of the country.
Many issues were discussed in relation to the bilateral relations between the two countries; the most important topics discussed were trade agreements, the Northern Union, and the detention of a Prunian citizen in a Flírsk prison for the murder of three women in 2015.
Cetenivk stated that he had "a wonderful time" hosting Queen Jill, furthermore saying that "great progress has been made" between the two countries. Talks of a potential Cetenivk visit to Prunia are on the cards for 2019.
A Rising "Middle Class" Despite recent economic hardship, it has been reported that between 2014 and 2018, the Flírskmastoan "middle class" has grown exponentially. In the past, it was well known that a vast gap existed between the incomes of the poor and the rich, and until recently, few people were considered to earn the actual average wage. It has come to show however that an additional 9% of the population has come to earn more in the past five years, due to work policies implemented in the country in the 2012 Tabyevskiy Reforms.
The new middle class have been shown to take more trips abroad, and to spend their disposable income on products such as phones, laptops and fashion accessories, thus growing these sectors of the Flírsk economy.
With a new middle class emerging, the country is ready to adapt to more changes as well as policies of modernisation and economic growth. This is despite the fact that whilst the middle class has grown, the overall Flírsk economy has been on a downturn for three years, with the poor population of Flírskmasto earning on average 4% less than they did ten years ago.
The gap between the rich and the poor can be felt throughout society, however, no comment on the matter has been made by any member of either house to date.
DADI has published its monthly polling figures on the view of Flírsk citizens on matters regarding domestic policy, foreign policy and social issues.
The most notable foreign relations results were: 51% ⬇4 33% ⬇4 91% ⬆3 37% ⬇9 49% ⬇9 58% ⬆13 44% ⬇9 95% ⬆1 50% ⬇16
F.A.P. support has increased by 5 points to 64% Relaxation of immigration policy is down 2 points to 2% Confidence in the Cetenivk cabinet is down 4 points to 55% Support for the proposed pension reform is down 3 points at 19% Support for the North Pole region to become a Federal Subject is up 5 points at 72% Same-sex marriage has gone down 3 point to 19%.

TRIVANIAN 'SILLY WALKS' CROSSING IS A HIT
A Trivanian town has officially opened a 'silly walks' road crossing, in honour of a classic sketch from the 1970s TTV comedy programme Monty Python's Flying Circus.
Malani near Bloomtown has replaced the usual crossing sign by the town hall with one of a man with a bowler hat and briefcase flinging his leg high in the air, in emulation of John Cleese's performance from the 'Ministry of Silly Walks' sketch, POT public television reports.
Duncan McKenzie, a local fan of the programme, saw a similar sign put up by a prankster in another country, and asked Malanian council to make an official version. "Cleese parodied a man from the ministry, and sometimes strange things do happen in town halls," he told the news site.
Alderman Soren Till Rishell liked the idea, and agreed to preside at the not-very-formal opening of the rebranded crossing. "It's nice to see people crossing the street with a smile on their face, and we hope lots of people will do so," he told the expectant crowds, before trying out his own silly walk.
The crossing is one of the busiest in town, but Mr Rishell assured the public that, no matter how silly their progress, "traffic rules still apply, and cars have to stop as normal". He added that the sign will revert to the original if it proves to be more of a distraction than an aid to road safety.
The people of Malani have taken to the idea with great enthusiasm, and filled social media with clips of pedestrians crossing with a variety of outlandish gaits. Duncan McKenzie was also on hand to show passers-by the 12 steps of the traditional John Cleese silly walk.

Dýrian news update: 31st October 2018
President Egilsdóttir's journies to Evergreen and Prunia were successful, according to the president.
On the 23rd of October 2018, Dýrian president Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir traveled to the Prunian capital Lemarol to meet with Queen Jill, queen of Prunia. She was hosted by Queen Jill in the Royal Palace of Lemarol where the two heads of state discussed a variety of topics.
Among the most important topics was Dýria - Prunia relations and how Dýria supports Prunian integration into the Northern Union. Prunia became a member of the organization this year, and Dýria supported the bid since the beginning. President Egilsdóttir noted that relations between the two countries were essential now that Prunia joined the union, and has stated that they will continue to grow. Trade deals between the two nations already exist. Both countries are actively collaborating in many fields of interest, but one of the most important aspects of Dýria - Prunia relations is tourism; Prunia is a popular tourist destination for Dýrians, as 42% of those surveyed have stated that they have been to Prunia at least once, while 65% have stated that they intend to do so in their lifetime. Dýrian Airlines will also be collaborating with the national flag carrier of Prunia to boost tourism with cheap flights between the two countries.
As for Evergreen, President Egilsdóttir visited the country between the 25th and 27th of October, where she met Queen Laura II in Crystalfall. Among the issues discussed between the two countries were the Casanova Accords, which both leaders expressed their desire to uphold the agreements between the two countries relating to trade and cultural relations as stated in the accords. In addition, president Egilsdóttir invited Queen Laura II to Dyflinnjaborg in 2019 for the opening of the new Everish cultural center, which is to be completed by May 2019. The center is exactly the same to the Dýrian cultural center which is located in Crystalfall. The center is intended for everyone; for Everish Dýrians, it makes it much easier to keep up with affairs in their own nation, and for others, it promotes tourism to the country. Dýrian Airlines, like with Prunia, is to set up more flights to the country by next summer.
Dýrians are "more than happy" with NU membership, after a poll on various issues was conducted.
A poll on various issues in Dýria was conducted by the company Dýripoll. A sample size were asked questions relating to foreign relations of Dýria, social issues and other domestic issues related to the country.
Northern Union
The most popular issue for this poll was the question of NU membership. 87% of those surveyed stated that they believed that Dýrian membership in the Northern Union was essential and necessary, with the 87% being "more than happy" that their country is a member of the union. Dýria is one of the most pro-Northern Union nations in 2018, as only 9% hold negative views of the union in this survey.
65% of those surveyed were happy with Dýria using the Nordo, with many commenting that it promotes stable relations with the other NU countries, and that the Nordo has worked out much better for the country than the old Dýrian Króna.
Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir In her 2nd year of presidency, 82% of those surveyed felt that Dýrian president, Ingibjörg Egilsdóttir, was doing a good job in leading the country, with 14% having a negative view of the president. The 82% of those polled also had trust in her in leading Dýria, and would vote for her again should she run for presidency in the future.
Social Issues 92% of people surveyed had a positive reaction towards same-sex marriage in the country, believing that it is a fundamental right for all Dýrians. Only 5% held a negative view, while 3% had no opinion. Dýria has historically been open to LGBT rights and is at the moment one of the most pro-LGBT countries in the world.
After the euthanasia referendum in August, 63% of those surveyed still believed that euthanasia was acceptable under the conditions that were voted for, with many believing that it is a choice that should be made by the patient. 36% held a negative view towards the issue.
72% were happy with current abortion laws in the country, which allow women to have safe and legal abortions up to 12 weeks for any reason, then 22 weeks for socio-economic reasons. Again, the main word about this topic was choice since many respondents believed that it was a choice to be made by women.
Other Dýrian Issues
An overwhelming majority, 97%, believed that all languages should be given equal status within the country, and 97% believed that the Dýrian government needs to continue to protect the status of the Brittonic language (Brezhoneg), which has been classed as endangered. 3% had no opinion on the issue.
79% of those surveyed were happy with the outcome of the Sjólandic referendum earlier this month, stating that it leads to a bright future for Dýria and the region of Sjóland. 19% believed Sjóland should have stayed as an autonomous republic.
Foreign relations
According to this poll, Decoria is the country that was viewed the most positive by Dýrians, with a 96% approval rating. Some other countries are listed below:
Fordia - 87% (down from 89%) Lanovina - 82% (up from 77%) Flírskmasto - 55% (up from 42%) Jarea - 67% (=) Baesnia - 72% (=) Golden Land - 85% (up from 84%) Drevona - 73% (up from 59%) Prunia - 79% (up from 63%) Evergreen - 72% (up from 61%) Scandavia - 83% (down from 84%) Orangina - 90% (up from 86%) Ruyjin Republic - 70% (up from 65%)
More ratings will be posted in November, where another poll will be conducted, and more countries will be surveyed!

Bands always play through conversations between Alecia and Demi October 31, 2018 by Alyson Sans Alecia (23) and Demi (25) can not visit a concert hall without a band exceeding their conversations. "It looks like something typically Foxtavian."
"It is a standard pattern," says Demi. "We are about ten minutes in, are having a really nice conversation and guess what happens next? The lights dim and a band comes on stage. We are therefore forced to talk louder. "
According to the ladies, there is a structural problem. "Whether it's the FoxMusicHall, the Fire Dome or the Armondo Arena: it's the same problem everywhere. Sometimes I think it is something typically Foxtavian. "
Alecia and Demi are convinced that they are not the only ones being annoyed by it. Alecia: "We constantly hear 'sssssssssssh!' around us as long as those bands play. You would expect the band members to pick up that signal. "

SINGING COCK GOES VIRAL IN KA'A AND KEHBE
The singing cock went viral last Tuesday 30 October after a video of it squawking in an operatic fashion surfaced online. Bertie is the biggest rooster on Yami Makada's farm in the northern state of the nomadic Xnosi Tribe. The tribe was unable to be reached by international news stations as Kehban law protects the Xnosi Tribe from foreign exposure (and exploitation). In an interview with Kehban News, the head elder stated that he was insulted that such a video exploiting his people could be spread without their knowing. He called for the tribe to be left alone by visiting tourists to the country. Political spokesperson for the Xnosi region has announced that national government will be closing the region off to tourists for the next month to allow for the tribe's pilgrimage southwards to the state of Kikibila as part of their ancient tradition to remember the dead in the month of November.

SEIKKAPISTO THEME PARK OPENING TOMORROW! The moment Levalle was waiting for is finally here. Seikkapisto Theme Park is about to open its doors. Construction work commenced with a groundbreaking ceremony in March 2017. The backers of the park which will be located within 40 minutes drive of Levalle's capital city, hope that it will develop into one of Northern Sakoda's leading tourist attractions.
Levalle is not the first country that comes to mind when planning a theme park trip. It had 16 roller coasters to offer until now. It's clear that theme parks weren't a thing here. Now, the country will have 33 roller coasters operating! Seikkapisto attracted the attention of theme park fans worldwide. There's nothing what can prevent people from vising this place as every attraction is heated, which means visitor numbers shouldn't be affected by the country's cold climate.
It is the first full-fledged amusement park, which offers its clients world class, highest quality services for all ages: children, teenagers and adults. Seikkapisto is a unique place in which everybody will find an enjoyable attraction as the park is divided into three different zones: Little kids zone, Family zone and Extreme zone.
One thing is safe to say. Krateri Roller Coaster is definitely the pearl of this place. As we could read in the comments on the official Facebook fanpage most of the people are awaiting to try this attraction the most. It is a family suspended coaster. While it doesn’t look big or impressive, the ride experience itself is very good. For a family coaster it delivers a punchy ride, all of this smoothly and with the rider in complete freedom thanks to the great lap bars. The re-ride factor is high. The theming of the roller coaster is a bit bare but since the area around the roller coaster is still in development so it is really hard to judge this correctly.
Besides from the roller coasters, Seikkapisto contains a bunch of mostly smaller rides like wave swinger, log flume, booster and topspin. The park offers a whole bunch of restaurants as well. Each of them has its own speciality.
