Deadly Gas Explosions in 3 Svetlibrod Towns Leave 1 Dead: 'It Looked Like Armageddon' A series of gas explosions an official described as "Armageddon" ignited dozens of fires across three communities north of Svetlibrod (the second biggest city), killed at least one person and forced entire neighborhoods in the Třnak Valley to evacuate Thursday.
Authorities said Marek Stawnik, 18, died after a chimney toppled by an exploding house crashed into his car. He was rushed to a Svetlibrod hospital but pronounced dead later in the evening. More than 20 others were treated for fire-related injuries. Firefighters raced from one blaze to another, scrambling to fight flames engulfing homes in Tendover, Severný Tendover and Buxton while utility crews rushed to shut off gas and electricity.
"I've been in the fire service for almost 39 years and I've never seen anything like this in my entire career," Tendover Fire Chief Michael Mansfield said at a Thursday night news conference. "It looked like Armageddon, it really did. There were billows of smoke coming from Buxton behind me. I could see plumes of smoke in front of me from Tendover. It just looked like an absolute war zone. It's something I've never experienced in my fire service career and I hope I never experience it again." The Svetlibrod Emergency Management Agency suspected the explosions were caused by an "over-pressurization of a gas main" belonging to Foxtavia Gas of Artacia, which services the area, but officials who responded to the area were still investigating what happened.
"This is still a very active scene," Gov. Dominika Smatanova said. "There will be plenty of time later tonight, tomorrow morning and into the next day to do some of the work around determining exactly what happened and why."

Change in Funding of Lidonian public broadcaster RTL Nakopek The parliament of Lidonia has passed a law that will change the broadcasting fees in Lidonia. So far the people of Lidonia had to pay a fee per device with an access to a broadcasting service (Radio, TV or laptop), therefore the fee one had to pay varied from person to person. This system that was transferred from the precessor state Voxanya was deemed unequal by the governing party, which therefore proposed a change in law which passed the parliament today and will be active from the 1st January 2019 on already. Instead of a monthly fee per device every person will now pay a set fee of 310LK (around 12,40 Nordos or 11,53 Eldancan Dollars) per month, regardless of the amount of devices one owns. As a solitary fee every Lidonian citizen over 18 has to pay the fee, including also people who own no devices. Despite the fact that the new fee is higher than the old one, the public broadcaster RTL has to face huge budget cuts as a result of the law change. Already in anticipation of the coming changes RTL did a massive reconstruction of itself, a process during which around 320 people were fired or relegated to part-time work according to sources from within the broadcaster (there was no official statement on this yet by neither the broadcaster nor the government). The law change was therefore criticized by the greens and social-democrats, who told that the law change will harm small workers. Another point of critic was that the law states no exceptions, therefore also poor people and other people in need have to pay the same amount as people with a high income. Greens as well as the communists criticize the fact that the smaller budget also disadvantage the neutrality of the public broadcaster who is now, with a tighter budget, even more dependent on the "good will" of the government. Others justify the budget cut by stating that the market shares of the RTL channels are on a rapid downfall since the re-introduction of private TV-Channels.
Government decides on billions of aid for drought-plagued farmers NakopekAfter a summer that was formed by an extreme drought, farmers now finally got a compensation as the government decided after week-long discussions on an aid for the farmers. Despite massive critique from the other parties as well as within the governing parties, the parliament passed the bundle of measurements today. The bundle was dubbed as "the biggest and most expensive order in history". Key point of it is a financial compensation the farmers will receive, that covers most of the loss they made due to missed harvest caused by the record drought this summer. This July was the driest month since the weather data was recorded, with the months May to October being exceptionally dry as well. This lead to a record low harvest that made the farmers in Lidonia struggle. The new bundle of measurements drew criticism from various sides, especially the greens criticized it loudly, stating it as wrong to compensate farmers only by money, due to climate change the government should start investing in future, ecologically more friendly farming techniques. Also the social democrats criticize the order as incomplete, stating that only giving money won't help the farmers, a critique that also echoed within parts of the independent governing party. However for the liberal party the order already went to far, in their eyes the rules of the market will help the farmers on the long run.
"lowest survey result ever" in question wether Lidonia should support Torlova in possible conflict with Corzazjan EstportA survey with the question "are you in favor of a Lidonian military support for Torlova in a possible conflict with Corzazjan?" led to a definitely odd result. Only 2% of the asked participants answered "yes" to that question, which makes it according to the institute conducting the survey the "lowest result for an answer in a survey ever". "We had even questions wether one is in favor of Zoophilia or necrophilia and got more people who answered yes to these question!" the head of the institute stated in surprise. The institute, which is known for its accurate results, asked the question in wake of the most recent crisis between the two states. Wether a possible military involvement of Lidonia is possible at all is at the moment completely uncertain, and also extremely unlikely.

SUSPICOUS BOMB FOUND IN LYKELLINN SUBWAY STATION
23:44 | Lykellinn, Kingdovania - Around the time of 23:07, the police got a call about a suspicious bag found in the subway station "Lykellinn tunnelbanestation" in Drottningsholm. Right after the call, the police arrived only to find out that a suspicious "mechanical device" was found in the bag, supposedly a self-built bomb. The police were quickly to clear the area from any people, and managed to handle the situation to themselves, succeeding in disarming the suspicious device.
The bomb has been taken in as evidence, and will be further inspected in hopes of finding a clue that could lead to the potential bomb owner. The Head of Police, Carl Janebrink, was quick to discuss the current event to the reporters of Nyheterna.
I've never seen a sight of "bomb terrorism" in the city of Lykellinn for over 10 years, and to see such a similar experience happen again saddens me a lot, but to my greatest happiness, no one was hurt, the device did no harm to anyone around the subway station, and we will be inspecting the mechanical device in full detail to whether the device had any plan in doing harm to the citizens of Lykellinn, and to see if we can find any clues that could point out who would cause such commotion in a calm city like this.
The scene of the commotion are being taken care of by police at the very moment, and is said to not be available for the public until the police has investigated every corner of the subway station for more "suspicious devices". Furthermore, it's also reported that the police are looking to investigate the other subway stations for the same reasons as well.

Car Jumps Over Dog Oarageugut, Nayagac, Nrehtuos Llort Engju version
overly edited like your typical Llortish soap opera
A car rally in the Nayagac province proved almost fatal for one dog. During the annual Eugut Car Rally in the town of Oarageugut (an hour north of Nasaxwaxwak), a stray dog was discovered by spectators walking along the 37-kilometer course. Security personnel asked audience members not to step onto the dirt track to prevent accidents. In the past five years, three casualties, including one fatality, has occurred during the rally.
The dog casually strutted along the road, but after hearing the faint noise of a car engine in the distance, the dog dashed forward, continuing along the path. The car approached the dog at the recorded speed of 107 kph, a speed that would've proved critical for the small dog. Fortunately, the dog had already ran past a small dirt ramp, and it allowed the car at its current speed to launch itself in the air and land safely ahead of the dog. The crowd cheered for the dog being alive. "It's a miracle," one local said.
The video soon circulated into social media where it went viral and currently has over 3 million views across all platforms.
The dog was soon rescued by local police and was placed in a local animal shelter, waiting for adoption.
People on social media have started to express concern for the overall safety measures of the rally. Some have asked for tighter security to prevent anyone or anything intruding the track. The organizers of the event have taken these comments into consideration and hope to make more improvements in the future.

Changes in the UNF Security Council For unknown reasons the Frootish foreign ministry announced its withdrawal from temporary membership in the UNF Security Council. The current members voted for Scandavia to replace Frootania as temporary member of the Southern Wulfor Zone.
Rise of the Right-Wing in Fordia Current polls for the next general elections in 2019 show that the two right wing parties CPF (Conservative Party Fordia) and NPF (National Party Fordia) which both barely reached 4.5% at the last elections, would now reach up to 18% and 9% respectively. President Drosel’s party FPF would currently drop to 22% (previously 31%), while the SDF (Social Democrats) would drop to 25%. The Liberal Party Fordia (LPF) would drop to 8%. The Greens would rise to 12%. No Fordian president in the past was as unpopular as Frances Drosel currently is. Only 53% of the respondents are satisfied with her work in the current session. The Northern Union elections in December will show what Fordia might elect in the future.

Saarbruggen/Bärstadt/Holthausen - The last two scheduled Conferences of Ministers for 2018 are being prepared. The Conference of International Ministers (InMK) will meet on the 22nd of November in Saarbruggen, the capital of Lutetia. The focus of this years conference will lay on the newly formed relationships with Sirenforest and Drevona. The Conference of Ministers for Integration (IntMK) will meet on the 2nd of December in Maganiums capital Bärstadt. Maganiums Minister for Integration and Chairman of the IntMK Manfred Lucha (Green) announced that the focus of the conference will be the rising number of migrants coming from Torlova due to the ongoing conflict between Torlova and Corzazjan. The Conference of Agriculture Ministers (AMK) held a emergency meeting in Holthausen earlier this week. The meeting was called by Boronias Agriculture Minister Daniel Cywinski (CDP) because of the high temperatures in the summer and the resulting crop failure for farmers in Moly-Boronia. The AMK announced that a emergency fund for the farmers was raised so that the losses can be compensated for. The AMK also asked the Federal Government and Agriculture Minister Julia Klöckner (CDP) to help out with another fund but the Government hasn't announced any plans so far.
COMMENTS ON THE TORLOVA-CORZAZJAN CONFLICT
Seeburg - This week the government, King Amadeus II. and Queen Olympia and President of the Council of States Nils Schmid (SPMB) made comments on the conflict between Torlova and Corzazjan as well as the official stance of Moly-Boronia on the matter. Prime Minister Angelika Mertens (CDP) said on Monday that "[she] hopes the conflict between Torlova and Corzazjan will be solved as soon as possible and that no further incidents occur." King Amadeus II. and Queen Olympia released a statement on Wednesday stating that the King and Queen both condemn Torlova and Corzazjan for their actions and that they hope that a solution will be found as soon as possible. President of the Council of States Nils Schmid (SPMB) said on Wednesday that "this conflict threatens the peace in Fantasia immensely and that Moly-Boronia and its people fear that the conflict might spill to other countries." On Friday the Federal Government, the Council of the States, King Amadeus II. and the Conference of State and Regional Presidents together released a statement on the official stance of Moly-Boronia on the matter: "Moly-Boronia won't support either side in this conflict. We also hope that this conflict is solved as soon as possible and that Moly-Boronia as a neighboring country of the conflict has moved several military units to the border near Torlova and that the army is alarmed that the conflict might spill over into our nation. We also have seen a rise in refugees from Torlova coming into Moly-Boronia. This isn't an acceptable state for the continent and we hope that both countries settle their differences so that the Torlovan refugees can go back to their home cities and live a life in piece."

Đur d'Vîsè - Visa DayAlex Scally and Victoria Legrand set to become honorary citizens as Ava Max is set to be banned from entering AchróaOn November 12, one non-Achróan national is granted citizenship and another is banned from setting foot in the country. This is all part of a long running tradition that has existed in Achróa for 45 years now: the Đur d'Vîsè, or Visa Day in Everish, is a widely-followed event in Achróa. Usually, the two international citizens are low-profile, but this year the likely winner(s) and loser are the converse of that. The Achróan government, following a surplus of requests, allowed for Alex Scally and Victoria Legrand (who together form the band Beach House) to be counted together. Both are expected to easily sail past their competition and be granted citizenship. Legrand and Scally are viewed almost like deities in Achróa, a nation with an infamous hospitality for dream pop and shoegaze music. Their most recent album, 7, dominated the Achróan charts in May and June and is the Achróa's best-selling album of the decade. Many have also questioned why Legrand is not eligible for citizenship in Achróa given that both her parents are Achróan emigrants, but the government responded that their citizenship law does not cover any aspect of jus sanguinis.
If Legrand and Scally are considered gods, then Ava Max is considered as Loser Lucifer. The release of Sweet but Psycho provoked huge outrage in Achróa, with many saying the song is a "retrograde of musicianship" and an "assault on musical integrity." When copies of the single were shipped to record stores in Achróa, all said that they would not sell the song or provide any details on where to obtain it - and subsequently record store sales spiked by 600%, due to the public buying records as a way of saying "thanks for not selling Sweet but Psycho." The international pop music pressure group #prayforpopmusic chastised the Achróan public's reaction, calling it a disgrace.
The exit poll has suggested Beach House and Ava Max will win the Citizenship and Barring polls by clear margins respectively. Additionally, the Achróan government has said it will consider making all school-age children learn a Beach House song of their choice, and that it will consider banning all radio airplay of Ava Max's discography.
