WEEK 4 // PLAYING WITH NUMBERS NUMBER: 8 For this week, I was appointed the number 8. Rather than just sending a song with the number in it, I decided to go deeper. So, I did some research and found some information on the biblical meaning of the number. When I first discovered this song, I completely fell in love with it, and I was so happy when I found out that I had a chance to send it.
"The number eight in the Bible signifies Resurrection and Regeneration. It is the number of a new beginning. Eight is 7 plus 1 and since it comes just after seven, which itself signifies an end to something, so eight is also associated with the beginning of a new era or that of a new order." Presenting to you my entry of this week;LadytronThe Island Recap time: 3.02+
The Lyrics:Farewell, farewell dreams we once knew
Farewell, farewell to you and you
People, people in lost and found
People, people, we've hit the ground
Falling fast, falling harder
Falling faster in all of the chains that bind us
Seeking out our departure
Seeking out our heavenly future
Calling out, call protection
Calling out, calling out to the hand that blinds us
Make it count, make it out alive
Make it count, make it out this dangerous
Poison paradigm
We are savages, given your poison lips
Broken wires, ghetto souls
Conflicted, calculated architects
Echo a new direction
Fate loves desire
We are sirens of, of the apocalyspe
Poison paradigm
We are savages, given your poison lips
Welcome, welcome your glory back
Welcome, welcome to the island
Glory, glory begin again
Glory, glory and betrayal
Falling fast, falling harder
Falling faster in all of the chains that bind us
Seeking out our departure
Seeking out our heavenly future
Calling out, call protection
Calling out, calling out to the hand that blinds us
Make it count, make it out alive
Make it count, make it out this dangerous
Poison paradigm
We are savages, given your poison lips
Attitudes, privilege
Without regret, a hazard lost at sea, a toxic intuition
Fate loves desire
We are sirens of, of the apocalyspe
Poison paradigm
We are savages, given your poison lips
Poison paradigm
We are savages, given your poison lips
Poison paradigm
We are savages, we are savages

" Number 6 symbolizes man and human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin." Timeslot: 2:17
Lyrics: "fill me with existence and failure to understand what began as kingdom will crumble into sand
bury at the mouth of the crossroads my heart, my heaven, my mind bury at the mouth of the crossroads my heart, my heaven, my mind
fill me with resistance forfeited to faith what began as sacred will praise to the profane"

Frieda Livêrie
Thom Yorke | SuspiriumNumber assigned | 5Timeslot | 2:48-3:135 is a pivotal digit that holds multiple meanings, but most prominently it stands as the number of balance due to its position in the number line. The line between calm and chaos; the line between confidence and vulnerability. Suspirium, both musically and lyrically, encapsulates 5 perfectly. On first listen, Suspirium sounds like an unassuming waltz, however it is decorated with an unconventional chord progression and Thom's vocals of pure poignancy to help create an unsettling yet strangely tranquil mood. In Suspirium, Thom discusses how in order to ascertain joy, we must go through periods of uncertainty, which can possibly have the opposite effect of our intended happiness: pain. This mixture of joy/pain and the limbo we face returns to the theme of balance that 5 carries. Lyrical examples of this are bolded: This is a waltz thinking about our bodies What they mean for our salvation With only the clothes that we stand up in Just the ground on which we stand Is the darkness ours to take? Bathed in lightness, bathed in heat All is well, as long as we keep spinning Here and now, dancing behind a wallWhen the old songs and laughter we do Are forgiven always and never been true When I arrive, will you come and find me? Or in a crowd, be one of them?Wore the wrong sign back beside her Know tomorrow's at peace

category is.. PLAYING WITH NUMBERS number: 9
Based on the Bible the meaning of number 9 is the number of completion, wisdom and fullfilment but also number 9 can be symbolized as the number of pain. So therefore the song I picked for this week, has the elements that are asked. It is..
WE WILL NEVER BE THIS YOUNG flora cash
Timeslot 2:15 - 2:40
The song talks about how when you get older you have to make some decisions in your life, which you never know if they are right or wrong, but that shows the maturity of yourself and sometimes can be painful. But that also shows a better evaluation of the situations around you which makes you more wise and more complete to the world that is in front of you!
LYRICS
You've got that look on your face A million dollars wouldn't ease And you're standing, right in front me With your shirt off in jeans
We will never be this young again It's been like this too long And all that I need Is just a sign I'm getting through And that's all I need
I wish I knew, what is hiding in you What is hiding in you I wish I knew What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you I wish I knew
Maybe I'm not the one What an awful concern I got addicted to you so easily Will my discretion return?
We will never be this young again And it's been like this too long And all that I need
I wish I knew, what is hiding in you What is hiding in you I wish I knew What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you I wish I knew
I wish I knew, what is hiding in you What is hiding in you I wish I knew What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you What too' 'way me from you I wish I knew

Tori Amos - Virginia 3:00+
Oh, Virginia Do you remember? You won't, even you, Virginia When the land held your hand You won't, even you When the land held your hand Oh, Virginia, you won't She will let you back in Even you Do you remember? Oh, Virginia You can't remember your name

Lyra Winter
(Number: One) Emilie Nicolas - Wild One
(1:48+)
In the song Emilie sings about have one love of her life and how that one person makes her feel. Singing about the one person she focuses all her emotion all on her one priority. She describes him as the wild one. Making him the only wild one in her life. With in the song she mentions she sings.
"I got mummy eyes, I got mummy arms And a mama heart He falls asleep on my chest and He comes all over my prey."
These lines show how two people can connect as one and unite. Showing raw emotion, love and affection. This is unity shows between two people, what in life has proven to be a very important to a person.
