Ornacia's CritiquesAzealia Bongos | Aless I loved this choice, despite never playing Professor Layton it made me feel slightly nostalgic and this kind of soundtrack is exactly what I was looking for this week. The music really delivers the emotion, like a good video game soundtrack should. Glad to see you back on track after two bad weeks for you! Miss Piggy | Bas Hm. I mean, the song is really good, it sounds beautiful. I've also read up on what the game is about, since your game is the only one of the week I haven't heard of before, and it really seems to fit. However, despite being objectively good, it wasn't necessarily what I was looking for this week, as I would've never noticed on my own that this song was for a video game. Good effort but kinda missed the mark. Cake Fart$ | agni To be fair, I never played Fallout and can't comment on the character you talked about, which is why I might not understand where you come from. But either way, this song just gives me zero video game vibes. It's a nice song, sure, but when I think of "video game soundtracks" a jazz song would not come to mind. Maybe I'm too uneducated about Fallout but it's just a weird choice for this week. Unexpected and original perhaps, but that's not what I personally wanted to hear. Phoebe Struts | George J. This was a really questionable choice. Your song wasn't even made for the game, as it was released in 2005 while the game was released in 2015, a solid 10 years later. Which means it's just a regular song picked by the producers of the game. Additionally, the song itself isn't even very good, it's a fad song that sounds really repetitive in the end therefore it fits very well to the game. All in all this song and the game just screams edgy tumblrette. Pretty disappointed with you this week. Frieda Livêrie | Callum Finally a great choice again. This was actually the only soundtrack of the week that I heard in action, as I haven't played any game but yours before. I felt the feeling you described in the post which is why I know why this soundtrack fits so well to the game moment it's supporting. Besides being an actual bop, the soundtrack really displays the excitement and tension of the moment, which is what every soundtrack is supposed to do, and in general this kind of old-school instrumental is what I personally was looking for this week. Brilliant choice! Junglepu$$y | Eke Another game I haven't played before and another cinematic soundtrack. I don't know what this was used for in the game but to me it sounded like music you'd hear while walking into a virtual war with your fantasy army. Despite being a modern soundtrack, it did give me the feeling of listening to a video game soundtrack instead of sounding like any normal song. Not the best choice you could've made but definitely a decent choice. Delilah Grace | Alper Obviously any Smash Bros soundtrack would've done quite well, looking at the judges panel, but I did like your choice. Despite also being quite cinematic, it had some more light-hearted, funny elements to it that made it something special. While I never played Smash Bros and only saw others playing it, I did feel like the soundtrack fits well to the game, which is why it was a good choice

Malala's Critiques I have to be honest, I'm not very satisfied with your choices this time ladies. But some of you managed to bring it. Let's see! Azealia Bongos Miss Bongos, you keep improving ever since you landed in the bottom 2. This was one of the two great choices this week; I think it's a good soundtrack and it was exactly on point for the challenge. Well done my queen! | Miss Piggy A very decent choice this week, once again Miss Piggy! I really like the song you presented today and it certainly gives us the essence of your chosen video game. Great job! |
Cake Fart$ Honestly, sending a jazz song for a video game soundtrack challenge is kind of an odd choice. Especially considering the fact that the song isn't really representative of the game you picked. I'm not really loving your choice this week, Miss Fart$. | Phoebe Struts Miss Struts. This choice really torn me because while I like the song, it doesn't really scream to me "video game soundtrack". To me, it sounds more like a song from a film soundtrack. And just like my fellow judge Ornacia said, the song wasn't specifically made for the game, which is questionable. | Frieda Livêrie This was by miles the best choice this challenge. This is exactly what I was expecting to hear this week. Such an iconic song from an obviously iconic game. Great work Miss Livêrie, you keep impressing every time! |
Junglepu$$y Similarly to what I said to Miss Piggy, I think you did a good job this challenge. You picked a very appropriate song for the video game you chose and I think it worked pretty well. Good job Miss Junglepu$$y! | Delilah Grace While it was probably a painfully obvious choice, I do appreciate your choice this week. It's definitely one of the few other good entries this week. I'm glad to see you recovering from last week's bottom 2, Miss Grace. |

Nene's critiques
Yaaaas video games! A nice week ladies, but where the Mario Kart tracks @ bitches? They'd make my bobs and vagene quake!
Azealia Bongos | Aless
A very nice choice Azealia! I've never actually played Professor Layton, but this track is exactly what I was hoping for - nostalgic and moving, I almost want to go out and spend money on the game right now, and indeed play all games in the series. Another thing I will note is that I love how your submission sounded like an actual video game track, that is, it gives me the feeling that I'm actually playing a video game. Well done sweetie.
Miss Piggy | Bas
While it's not my favourite and is not exactly what I was hoping for, this is still a nice submission anyway. If you want anything negative to say about it, I'll just say that the vibe is not giving me the video game feel and honestly doesn't give me the true experience of being in a video game. Still, overall a good choice.
Cake Fart$ | agni
I've never played the game myself, so I can't comment too much on it to say if I find it very fitting or not. While the soundtrack is not bad, it doesn't give me a video game vibe, just like Miss Piggy. However in this example, I don't really dig video game tracks with actual lyrics in them - it just doesn't seem like a true experience.
Phoebe Struts | George J.
I'll continue on from what I said to your fellow hunni Cake Fart$ - the song just doesn't feel like it's made for a video game, and I'll have to agree with my fellow judges on that. Given the fact that it sounds like it was made for an action film rather than a video game, it's questionable. While the song is not bad itself, I don't think it stands out at all and doesn't give me the vibe I'm looking for, sorry dear.
Frieda Livêrie | Callum
Aah yaas hunti! The nostalgia is really hitting me now! What an amazing choice from you and I have to say, I didn't expect any less. An iconic track from an iconic and nostalgic game that fit perfectly into this week's category. This is what I was looking for - it gives me video game vibes and makes me feel as if I'm playing the game right now, and you can definitely link the two together to make an amazing combination. Well done sweetie!
Junglepu$$y | Eke
I'll admit that I have never played this game series before, but from what I've seen the choice is decent. It fits well with your game in question, and while it's not my favourite choice, I do feel like you delivered a decent song for this week's challenge. You looked into what you thought was a good soundtrack from a game series you knew, and well in your case, it actually worked out!
Delilah Grace | Alper
And the bih is back! I love Super Smash Bros. so much and this was just an iconic choice. The tension in the song matches perfectly to the vibe of the entire game itself. Continuing on from that, I really feel that your choice was a "video game" song, as I do feel as if I've been teleported there and I'm now fighting Inês Brasil on the battlefield. Good job!
