Krampu$$y
Sweden 2009 - Malena Ernman • "La Voix"
Recap: 1:44+
When I chose Sweden as my country, this was the song I immediately had in mind, while I didn't have some kind of vision for the other two choices that were left over ( Switzerland and Iceland). My second choice would've been 2000's entry and I also considered 2010 and 2014 for a brief moment but ended up going for La Voix. However, after Mark talked about it in the chat, I was unsure whether I should still send it as I didn't want it to look like I got influenced by what he said. In the end I decided to send it anyway, even at the risk of looking like a scorewhore because this is one of my favorite Swedish entries and I think it's more or less the last really original entry that was sent by Sweden.

CŒURISH SPAIN
Quédate Conmigo by Pastora Soler (in 2012)
Timeslot 2:17 - 2:42 Spain, contrary to popular belief, isn't a bad country in the contest. However, I ended up contemplating my choices all night not only because I personally have three (heck, maybe four) equally amazing favourites from this country, but also due to outside influence. Similarly to Julian and his reasoning above, my choices were put under question in the chat, but still, I've ended up picking one of my most nostalgic favourites and an entry that was robbed of its win, only placing tenth.
I know this is the most obvious entry there is from Spain, but I believe in it more than my pre-2000 favourites.

• TEA-REX •Week 6: Eurovision Fest
Hanna Pakarinen - "Leave Me Alone" (2:22 on)
I've decided to go with Finland 2007, this is probably my favourite finnish entry and the fact that it ended 17th in the final is a complete robbery!

Week 6: Eurovision Fest
Ukraine 2010 - Alyosha - Sweet People
Recap: 1:48+
One of my first options for a country was Ukraine because there were a few songs that I really wanted to send for them, but this song really stood out for me as it was underrated as hell in Eurovision. Such a lovely, simple song that is very striking and she works the stage with her voice! She deserved a much higher place at Eurovision and I really hope that she can now be scored high here.
Hope you all enjoy!

Mariah de la Storm Eurovision Fest // Poland Anna Maria Jopek - "Ale jestem"
Recap part: (2:34+)
Poland is a country which had its ups and downs in the contest. I think they really brought some gems in the 90s which sadly, resulted in robberies most of the times. One of these robberies is "Ale jestem", a brilliant entry which only managed to finish at 11th place with 54 points.

Yasmin Renshaw // Eurovision Fest \\ Send a Eurovision song from the United Kingdom SuRie"STORM"Musically this might not be the best British act the United Kingdom has sent, in fact, it isn't. However, this HUGE ICON deserves some recognition, after getting rudely interrupted during the live show last year. She continued strongly after what must one of her most traumatic experiences ever. Performing the sh*t out of a mediocre song and giving it the LIFE I and the song needed.
This A-class performer, stood strong and honestly deserves all love in the world. I hope the judges are willing to give her the win she deserves.

■ Deutschland ■ Lena ■ "Taken by a Stranger" ■ I decided to send "Taken by a Stranger" for in my opinion, it is the most avant-garde, out-there, and the best song Germany has managed to send to the competition. The song is a rather downtempo electro song, yet the sultry and elusive staging makes this performance incredibly mesmerising and sexy. Furthermore the song improves even more lyrics-wise, the song has been speculated to have themes of sadomasochism, kidnapping (which I'm quite aware of), sex in public and sexual development.
In Düsseldorf, Taken by a Stranger placed tenth, but it honestly should have been Germany's third victory.
