Nene's critiques
Hi gays! Ugh I love a good Eurovision fest. However, I'm not holding anything back this week sweeties.
Cœur de Meme (@garameaning)
Hi hunni! I actually adored this entry back in 2012, although recently I do prefer other Spanish entries. While I think that this was a good attempt and an absolutely stunning song, compared to some other songs this week, I suppose it got lost in the crowd, in my opinion. I would've loved to see their 2003 entry, Dime, because that song still slaps hard. But not a bad attempt this week my dear!
Mariah de la Storm (Lᴇꜰ)
Now this is surprising - you were the only queen this week to send a pre-2000's song, I expected more of them this week, so it was a very nice surprise! This song was absolutely robbed back then and I don't understand how it only got 11th; it's one of the best Polish entries ever sent to the competition. I have to say, I'm very impressed by your performance this week because you were almost done for last week! Well done sweetie!
MucLanna (Josh's Tattoo (Inactive))
Oh yas hunni, a classic, even though it was only 9 years ago! One of the better Ukrainian entries to be sent to Eurovision, I loved the performance and the song in full, and I think it's placement was justified, and of course I'm glad to see it here in DSR! I'm glad you chose this song given that Ukraine has made some choices recently. Well done!
Stan Kan McCann (ClassifiedCat)
Yaas werq. I prefer Taken by a Stranger over Satellite by far and I'm glad you sent this song because in my opinion, this was the best German entry of the decade, and that's saying a LOT. In fact, I can even go as far back as 2000 and this would still be their best entry, followed swiftly by Satellite. So to me you made an amazing decision and well, I'll just say I didn't expect anything else from you, wig!
Tea-Rex (𝐴𝑑𝑟𝑖𝑎̀)
Oof. While the choice might be a bit too obvious I don't really care, this is one of my favourite Eurovision entries ever, and probably my favourite from Finland! The song didn't get the placing it deserved, like seriously did it only get 17th? Were the voters' wigs squeezing their brains too tight to not vote more for this song? Ahem. Anyways, excellent work from you this week, you're on a roll!
Yasmin Renshaw (Jens)
Oh hunni my lace front... is this seriously the best the UK has to offer? I love SuRie with my heart, I truly do, she is such a legend. But out of all the entries the UK has sent this just isn't it. I can understand your reasoning for choosing the song, and indeed what happened to her on stage was horrendous. However, I'm not digging this as a song and it was actually one of the songs I slept on last year because it just isn't good, and is just too basic for me. I have hope for you for upcoming weeks if you stay, but that was a choice gurl.

Rebecca's Critiques Girls, this is how you turn out a challenge! Coeur de Meme Dennis I actually have to disagree with Nene a bit. Quedate Conmigo is actually one of the few Spanish entries that I enjoy! It might seem like an "obvious" choice, but I don't care, it doesn't change the fact that it's a masterpiece! Good job. | Mariah de la Storm Lefteris LOVED. IT. Ale Jestem is probably one of the most iconic Polish entries for me. I also admire the fact that you went pre-2000s, and I can gladly say that the risk definitely paid off! The snappery! | MucLanna Josh THANK YOU! Sweet People is my favourite Ukranian entry in Eurovision to be honest! if we don't count Siren Song I absolutely loved it. I must say that I am surprised though, as you've been doing meh for the past few weeks and I am finally happy to see you shine in a week! Good job! | Stan Kan McCann William You s n a p p e d. LITERALLY, SNAPPED! Just settling this: TBAS >>>> Satellite. Again, this may look like its obvious but I don't care [2]. This is just so iconic and you know I care a lot about condoms, and the dancers turn me on every time I watch the performance. Ladies, this is how you destroy a week. Good job.
| Tea-Rex Adria Oh honey... I have to tell you something. SNAP! You managed to send my 2nd favourite Finnish song in Eurovision. "Leave Me Alone" is just so iconic in every aspect and Hanna herself is a legend. Amazing choice hun! | Yasmin Renshaw Jens Girl, what you doing? SuRie is iconic. Yes. But the song itself isn't that appealing to me. It just faded away between all these entries tonight. I can say that I expected much more from you to be honest. This may be the end of your journey, dear. |

Callum's Critiques
I'm doing this from a phone, I have been so ill and stressed with meeting uni deadlines recently so please forgive me for this half-ass post
You could also say I'm doing this from a telemóvel. ba dum tss
Coeur de Meme This entry has me very conflicted in terms of the week itself. Spain has a very grand repertoire but you choose to go for one of its most easily memorable entries within the fanbase - not all that bad though since it's a truly good song, just a very, VERY safe one.
Mariah de la Storm All I will say is that if I have said in the past that Ale jestem is probably my favourite Eurovision song of all time, there is NO CHANCE that I won't be giving this anything less than a 10. Grats on my 10 sweetie!
MucLanna Undoubtedly one of the best Ukrainian entries. A true gem and one that really stands out in Ukraine's repertoire as well while not being an overtly safe choice. You done great this week, darling!
Stan Kan McCann YES YES YES YES YES. Clearly the better Lena entry and one of Germany's best entries ever, this just has this wonderful mysterious vibe to it that hadn't really been seen in Eurovision before. A monumental entry.
Tea-Rex Ehh, I find this to be an overly safe choice à la Miss Coeur. Extremely hyped within the fanbase and I feel like you could have utilised Finland much better - but similarly it is still a great song and that cannot be ignored!
Yasmin Renshaw Sending an icon is not a replacement for musical quality. Next!

Mullac's Critiques We waited five seasons for a decent Eurovision Fest, but unfortunately some of you misread it as shitfest. Cœur De Meme Dennis "Quedate Conmigo" is a gem undoubtely, but it is also the most unoriginal choice you could probably make and in a week as strong as this one, that does matter. I'd prefer to see 1995, 2009 or even 2011 to be honest but it's still a great choice, just not enough. | Mariah de la Storm Lefteris Hear that? That's the sound of REDEMEPTION, because girl you completely snatched this week! "Ale Jestem" is an underappreciated bop and I'm so glad you chose it!
GREAT job! | MucLanna Josh Just like Mariah, I'm very pleased with your performance this week! "Sweet People" is a timeless masterpiece and is probably my favourite Ukrainian entry in the contest!
This is your best week so far and I hope you keep it up! | Stan Kan McCann William YES! What a great choice! "Taken by a Stranger" is an absolute bop and Germany's best entry in modern ESC history (which is not hard to achieve). I'd have also liked to see you send 1981 but I'm not complaining.
Good job! | Tea-Rex Adrià Another great choice! I've always loved "Leave Me Alone" and its placement in the contest remains unexplainable twelve(!) years later. Even though I'd have preferred to see 2010 or 2012, you did great once again and I expect you to keep up! | Yasmin Renshaw Jens SuRie? A legend, a star, an icon, a fighter. "Storm"? A fad. And in a competition called Daniel's Song Race, I think you can guess which one is more important.
Imaani and Jade Ewen I'm so sorry sweeties. |
