Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, an Azerbaijani avant-garde folk-jazz singer will represent the country in the upcoming edition of the Retro WWWSC. Influenced by such American jazz pianists as Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett as well as Middle Eastern music, Aziza has received multiple awards for her innovation in jazz music, in particular, for mixing mugham, an Azerbaijani folk composition with classic jazz. She has also been heavily influenced by the spiritual lifestyle of shamans which added an avant-garde and experimental musical direction in her artistic career. Also known as Jazziza, the Azerbaijani singer is famous in the jazz scenes of the USA and Germany and will participate in the 68th edition of the Retro WWWSC with "Fly with me" (1996). Azerbaijani entry is a fusion of classic jazz, Azerbaijani folk music and Arabic poetry (ghazal) We wish best of luck to Aziza in her Retro WWWSC journey Timeslot: 4:21+

Nella Martinetti - Bella Musica
Yes it took me only 46 editions (I actually counted them once - it's a surprise that it's so low) to finally get something that's not in English nor German (ignoring the instrumental songs I sent). Nella (who passed away in 2013, I think) was one of our most iconic singers ever. Back in 1986 she won the first edition of Grand Prix der Volksmusik with this song (seems like we can do amazing in debut editions of these things lol). She was also one of the co-writers of Ne partez pas sans moi and if I'm not mistaken stayed a dear friend of Céline for all her life.

Kurt Ostbahn & Die Chefpartie - I hea di klopfn (eng.: I hear you knocking)0:33+
'Kurt Ostbahn' is a figure played by the musician Willi Resetarits, especially known in the 80s and 90s but also occasionally revived now in the 2010s. 'Chefpartie' is basically the band behind him. His main genres were blues and rock music, this being one of his more famous pieces, originally released in 1988.
