I just thought you were leaving the contest when seeing there was something. Honestly, I kind of understand you. However had something like that happened to me, I'd just call that unfortunate and change the song.

We never saw in any contest a modification of a rule after the end of the confirmation period with the clear intention of disqualifying an entry. So the answer of the French delegation is absolutely clear: NO, WE WON'T CHANGE OUR ENTRY. For all the reasons already explained, and because that method is deeply unfair.
And clearly you won't use a common sense

And now you need to "Tati" this thing and put it in public [sigh].
No matter what I say you won't care, you will insist on yours, so I will just say this. I was one of the last people to tolerate you, giving you the benefit of the doubt because you haven't really crossed me... until now. I hope you're a lawyer or something looking for all these loopholes and the fact that Themed is a new contest and the rules haven't been updated yet.
This mentality won't get you far.
And as you won't change the entry (after I gave you more than enough time) and I won't change the rules, this means you cannot participate in this edition and you'll be replaced.

You just changed the rules by the way... OK, your took your decision. From now, the only posts you will see from me in this contest will be those that are strictly mandatory for the contest and with the informations that are strictly mandatory. Nothing more.

I have never joined noteworthy discussions involving Italix previously, and personally considered that he has been unjustly blamed in some instances. However, in respect of this particular topic, I would like to comment since this discussion stemmed from misunderstanding related to the distinct interpretation of the contest rules. There is something called "teleological interpretation" in law, which means to interpret provisions of legislative frameworks in the lights of the legal, social, economic goals and etc. these provisions aspire to achieve. Therefore, even though something is not explicitly stated in the provisions of a particular legislative framework, it can be interpreted within the meaning of the provision, given it correlates with the goals of that particular legal act. I personally believe that in this case we need to interpret the rules of WWWSC and Retro WWWSC, teleologically. According to the rule 14 of the WWWSC, which also applies to the Retro WWWSC, the "[m]ain goal of our contest is to promote songs and artists", among others. Hence, even though none of the WWWSC and Retro WWWSC rules explicitly suggest that the songs participating in the Themed WWWSC are not allowed in these contests, a broad interpretation of the Rule 14 implies that "The Winner Takes It All" has already been promoted and gained visibility in our song contests, and therefore, there should be a room for promoting other songs, not just the same songs again and again, which would be contrary to the spirit and objectives of the contest. On the other hand, I believe contest managers should take their time to add the rule about Themed WWWSC to prevent any misunderstanding in the future. (I can't believe I had to explain all of these ) According to both Jasna and Italix, the French player has been informed about the need to change his entry, and therefore, what was needed just to change the French entry and participate with a different song, nothing more. It is clear that Jasna did not aim to specifically disqualify French entry, she just had to act based on the rules of the contest. Moreover, infringement was noticed before the recap video was published, hence it should be considered legitimate. I know it might be disappointing for the player, but given he was given a chance to come with a different song, I personally can not see any problem.

Regardless of what's been happening, we are finally starting with the new decade The edition in Cardiff has now started! Good luck to everyone Alternative link✦ Images✦ Wikia✦ PlaylistVoting deadline is set on the 13th of June.Due to being busy, I'm unsure as to when and how the results for this edition will be presented. At the moment it looks like they will be done via ScoreWiz a.k.a. WWWSC style.

I love the balloons and how colourful this all looks like. It's just that a few of us picked a not exactly fitting entry ( Austria for example). However,"I wasn't expecting the theme of edition #1 on the thumbnail. The only thing I'm not the biggest fan of is the position of the country's names. It makes them being a bit too easy overlooked. :/ Well that's a long note. Oh! I like that. :DEspecially the picture. She has an interesting tatoo. Wasn't expecting a rock entry.

I just did as it was requested, not sure what we're celebrating tho As for some images not "fitting" to the design, that's usually the case and some contrast happens from time to time. For anyone who doesn't know the flags, I'm sure they can still find the country name. Not sure where else I could put it so it would make sense hmm.
