EVA CADO S07 E06 ~ Picture That Again Rozes - Halfway There I got assigned pictured #09 and the way I interpreted this picture is a couple holding on to feelings they have but having struggles at the same time, I see the struggles in the grey clouds and dark setting of the picture. But the connection between the couple is still there cause they are holding hands wich I interpreted as holding on to what they both build up together. But at this moment they are in a darker place of their relationship but the picture also shows hope for a better future because you can clearly see they have a connection because they are also looking at each other. The song I chose shows exactly that message and is about a point in a relationship with someone when you need to decide to keep on trying or to let things go. The song talks about though times they went trough together but that it should make them stronger and that it should not keep them apart. Halfway there is the point where their relationship is at this moment. I hope the judges can understand the way I interpreted this picture because you can interpreted in many ways but my attention got immediately drawn to the darker setting of the picture.
Hey, we've been going through some changes Tell me that we'll make it Tell me that we'll make it Oh, I don't wanna be alone Tell me that you'll hold on Tell me that you'll hold on Without you, these walls get to feeling like they ain't a home We're already halfway there Are we gonna finish what we started Or just leave it here? 'Cause the fight ain't fair If we're hanging onto something Only halfway there Can't wait forever We know better than to let it go We're already halfway there We're already halfway there Hey, I don't wanna be that story Where the ending goes missing 'Cause we couldn't go the distance Say, let me hear you say you understand We'll do all we can And this ain't the end And this ain't the end With you is not just a feeling, it's body and soul We're already halfway there Are we gonna finish what we started Or just leave it here? 'Cause the fight ain't fair If we're hanging onto something Only halfway there Can't wait forever We know better than to let it go We're already halfway there We're already halfway there Hey, we've been going through some changes Tell me that we'll make it Tell me that we'll make it Halfway there Fight ain't fair (Halfway there) We're already halfway there Are we gonna finish what we started Or just leave it here? 'Cause the fight ain't fair If we're hanging onto something Only halfway there Can't wait forever We know better than to let it go We're already halfway there We're already halfway there

"Cast Away" by Ella Vos Week 6: Picture that Again
2:39+
For this week's challenge I got picture #2, a person walking by the beach in a sunset that slowly turns into a grey sky. When I saw this picture I just knew this ong was perfect, one of my favorites. The music video even has a similar colour palette. When i hear the song I imagine myself in a long beach walk just thinking about what's been in my mind and release all the pain, like the lyrics says ''Im falling back into what feels like another day''.You know when you feel like a void in your chest and you just want to walk and feel everything souround you like fading, thats what the picture and songs feels to me.Hope you like
| LYRICS
[Verse 1]
Movin' miles apart
Breathin' the same old air
Watch another wheel turn
Turn 'til it goes nowhere
Rainin' down from above
Finding the same old god
Everything is undone
Nobody said it's fair
These ways don't open any doors
[Chorus]
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away
I'm falling back into
What feels like another day
Sitting through a quiet storm
Waiting for an empty nest
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away
[Verse 2]
Drownin' under my breath
Stare from across the street
Just a second too late
Waitin' all of these years
I stand alone in the hall
Make a women outta me
Try remember your face
It's always incomplete
[Chorus]
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away
I'm falling back into
What feels like another day
Sitting through a quiet storm
Waiting for an empty nest
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away
[Bridge]
Swimmin' all alone in the chaos
Watchin' all the planes as they take off
Tell me, is it now or forever? Ever, ever, ever
[Chorus]
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away
I'm falling back into
What feels like another day
Sitting through a quiet storm
Waiting for an empty nest
You're breakin' me in two
Livin' like I'm cast away

"Under the Milky Way" by Say Lou Lou
4:06+
Picture #03 is the picture assigned to me.
It features a starry sky looming over an abandoned house. The sky prominently features part of the beautiful Milky Way galaxy, an icon of the night sky. Taking that into consideration, the song "Under the Milky Way" came to mind. Say Lou Lou re-worked their father's song to more contemporary tastes. This evolved form gives off a stronger, moodier vibe of emptiness and feeling lost, feelings I see depicted through the desolate condition of the house and its surroundings, seen where else? Under the Milky Way.
The appearance of the Milky Way is the one specific element in the picture that inspired my search for the perfect song fit for a stellar image.
| LYRICS
Sometimes when this place gets kind of empty Sound of their breath fades with the light I think about the loveless fascination Under the Milky Way tonight Lower the curtain down on Memphis Lower the curtain down, alright I got no time for private consultation Under the Milky Way tonight
Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Under the Milky Way tonight
And it's something quite peculiar Something shimmering and white It leads you here, despite your destination Under the Milky Way tonight
Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Under the Milky Way tonight
Sometimes, when this place gets kind of empty
Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Under the Milky Way tonight Wish I knew what you were looking for Might have known what you would find Wish I knew what you were looking for Under the Milky Way tonight
Under the Milky Way tonight Under the Milky Way tonight Under the Milky Way tonight Under the Milky Way tonight |

"Release" by Getter, Midoca
1:23+
I was assigned picture #5 for this weeks challenge. The way I interpreted the picture choice is that the person is trying to release those bad energies. So she could recover and start all over.
Here is a quote from Lalah:
| LYRICS
The vine where I had grown my fruit Has dried and hangs down like a noose My shell has become a haunted place But the ghost inside begs me to stay
I just want release I just want release
I keep on searching just to find I'm absent inside this skin disguise My shell has become a haunted place But the ghost inside begs me to stay
I just want release I just want release |

"Panic" by Forest Swords
3:41+
I was assigned photograph #6, which showcases a person in the forest, shielding their face from view. My first thought when I looked at this photo was shyness, anxiety, and fear. Not only is the person in the photograph covering their face, but the use of a mirror to accomplish this essentially camouflages them into the surrounding environment. All three of these emotions are often experienced with a sense of panic, or a feeling of anxiety or fear that causes unusual behavior. Many people who have issues with anxiety, such as myself, often feel panicked when confronted with something that is out of their comfort zone, or increased stress in their personal life. I quickly came to the conclusion that the person in the photograph was in a state of internal panic.
The song i chose for this week, entitled "Panic" (by Forest Swords) is a song that chronicles the onset of Panic into the mind of an individual. The onset of panic is multiple stages of emotion that pile on top of eachother at a rapid pace. This song replicates that feeling by slowly introducing more instruments into the song, building the song in a way similar to the emotions such as shyness or panic build in someone with anxiety. The vocals, while sparse, do represent the onset of panic as well, having a layer of fear incorporated into the recording. The song climaxes to the end with the return of the vocals, and the crescendo of the instrumental parts of the song resulting in a chaotic final chorus, that quickly dissolves into something new, sparse, and somewhat distorted signifying the end of the panic episode as clarity returns to the listener. Additionally, the instruments used in the song match the photograph as well, because many are commonly sonically associated with the sounds of the forest. Furthermore, both the photograph and the music video share similar visual aspects of barren surroundings and the hiding of a person's face.
Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
| LYRICS
I feel something's wrong But the panic is on I feel something's wrong But the panic is on But the panic is on But the panic is on
I feel something's wrong But the panic is on I feel something's wrong But the panic is on
I'm so darn scared Any moment you'll be gone I'm so darn scared Any moment you'll be |

Tas HarareTennis 10 Minutes 10 YearsI was assigned picture 4, which gives off quite a bittersweet vibe for me. At the heart of it all is human connection. My first impression was that the pair of people focused on are in a very friendly embrace. They seem very happy together, and that only the bond between them matters as everything else is unfocused. However the image is also in black in white, and a cloud casts upon them. I therefore interpret that this bond that the two people have could be a memory of better times. I chose this song as it fits the idea of reliving an relationship that once seemed invincible.
Lyrics: You could have me for ten minutes You could have me for ten years I could lose you in the hours I could lose you in the tears, oh
The feeling's lost without you, oh my baby Without you, oh my love The feeling's gone completely
Those who measure time and distance Haven't known a love like mine There is only perfect closeness Don't you leave it all behind
The feeling's lost without you, oh my baby Without you, oh my love The feeling's gone completely The feeling's lost without you, oh my baby Without you, oh my love The feeling's gone completely Oh, the feeling's lost without you, oh my baby Without you, oh my love I lose myself completely, oh
What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you? What have I got without you?
You could have me for ten minutes You could have me for ten years We are only single moments Strung together and held dearly

"FINISH LINE" by Ine Hoem S7E06: Picture That Again
Timeslot (click to view)
My assigned picture for this week's challenge was Picture #10, which shows someone crossing a bridge. Bridge can have many interpretations, such as connection or communication. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the picture, and the direction I wanted to go was clear from the beginning: hope. Bridges are often seen as the only way to reach a destination, and therefore bridges are a way to overcome obstacles.
"Finish Line" fits exactly to my interpretation of the photo. It talks about not giving up, even when it seems like it's too hard to get to the other side, the finish line. The singer also talks about the difficulties that may occur on the road, but she "promises it will get better soon".
| LYRICS
Don't give up 'Cause I'm gonna meet you On the finish line Don't give up 'Cause I've been waiting
It's like you've been running for hours Underwater while holding your breath I promise you it will get better soon I will meet you on the finish line It's like you're standing alone in a crowd You try to scream but no one turns around I promise you it will get better soon I will meet you on the finish line
Don't give up 'Cause I'm gonna meet you On the finish line Don't give up 'Cause I've been waiting
It's like you're standing on the edge of the world With nothing holding you back I promise you it will get better soon I will meet you on the finish line Meet you on the finish line
Don't give up 'Cause I'm gonna meet you On the finish line Don't give up 'Cause I've been waiting
Light's always in the horizon And I will be waiting for you I'll wait for you
Don't give up 'Cause I'm gonna meet you On the finish line Don't give up 'Cause I've been waiting |

"NOBODY by Mitski
2:21+
The main themes of the song are alienation and loneliness. I remember listening to it when it first came out and I remember crying because I could relate to the lyrics so much. For me, Nobody represents my struggle with being alone and lonely, and also the journey to find my true self.
| LYRICS
My God, I'm so lonely So I open the window To hear sounds of people To hear sounds of people
Venus, planet of love Was destroyed by global warming Did its people want too much too? Did its people want too much?
And I don't want your pity I just want somebody near me Guess I'm a coward I just want to feel alright
And I know no one will save me I just need someone to kiss Give me one good honest kiss And I'll be alright
Nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody Ooh, nobody, nobody
I've been big and small and Big and small and Big and small again And still nobody wants me Still nobody wants me
And I know no one will save me I'm just asking for a kiss Give me one good movie kiss And I'll be alright
Nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody Ooh, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody, nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody Nobody, nobody, no

"THE WATER" by RY X S7E05: Picture That Again
I was assigned to the first picture, which demonstrates a single plant in a desert. While trying to convert that image to a potential song in my mind, I first thought of hope or birth/death. Although, after observing it a bit more, I decided to interpret it in it's literal meaning, but with a small twist.
We see a plant which will probably die soon as it needs water and in the middle of the desert that element is nowhere to be found. If it's not given its water, it'll slowly start to die, ending in the disappearance of the final form of life.
"I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water" says Ry Cuming in this rather melancholic masterpiece, and to interpret it in the same way as I did with the photo assigned to me; for this last life to bloom, give me my source of hope, source of luck, source of life.
Hope you enjoy. | LYRICS
[Verse 1] Thumb in ice, I yearn to get undone Are you open? Are you open? Loving like the fire to get it on Do you open? Do you open?
[Chorus] Leave me by the wake Old corner, the mill And get in the water, get in the water Leave me by the moon Left ready to bloom I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water
[Verse 2] Thumb in ice, I yearn to get undone Do you open? Do you open? Loving like the fire to get it on Do you open? Do you open?
[Chorus] Leave me by the wake Old corner, the mill And get in the water, get in the water Leave me by the moon Left ready to bloom I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water
[Interlude]
[Bridge] I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water I'm needing the water, I'm needing the water
[Instrumental Outro]
