Merry Christmas or Happy Winter solstice to everyone (or whatever else you celebrate at this time of the year)

I've collected a bunch of songs, that I know I will never be able to use one by one, so I've decided to do a few battles. Each time there will be 1 female solo act, 1 male solo act, 1 band and 1 co-op battling for a chance to represent Latvia in upcoming edition. Usually it will be held in a bit shorter period of time, but as it's holidays and the edition won't begin right away, I'll let you vote all through Christmas and New Year with deadline at about when next edition starts. But, before we start with this, let's get one thing done right away...

PLEASE, READ! I know that not everyone of you will be willing/able to vote, so if you're one of those people, please, let me know right away, so that I don't tag you in any of the reminders! Otherwise you might get pissed off at me for tagging you, even though you don't plan on voting. I don't want to piss off anyone either, so I'm asking you this favour, so that all of us can live in peace! Though I'll greatly appreciate everyone who'll find a few minutes to vote!

Band has been created in early 2018 by 2 ladies, who've met each other while studying in Florence. They are - my secondary school ex-classmate multi-instrumentalist and her Tunisian friend. This is their first original song.

REMINDER Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you've had an amazing New Year celebrations, but now it's time to return to our usual everyday routines, one of which I hope for you will be voting in this NF (spare a few minutes). What would you've done if the votes from the non-participant had changed the winner?

I already had a plan for that.
1. If with turkishunicorn's votes it would be a draw for the first place, the winner I would announce the one, who got less points from him AKA more points from others.
2. If his votes would've changed a clear winner (not given a draw), then I'd give his votes only 50% power, meaning that his points would be 0.5, 1, 1.5 & 2.5. Technically that should be enough to give back 1st place to the song, that got most points without his points. (This scenario wasn't very likely (at least this time))

It's actually hard to say, because you have to see, how the situation develops and from there think about possible options.

If none of the first 2 options would've worked, only then I wouldn't count his votes at all... but that's only as the last option... luckily everything sorted itself out without using any options...
