IT'S FULIN FOR TURKEY
After eighteen days of checkered voting, the first edition of KuzeyMelodi came to an end. "Çek Kenara" by Fulin won the competition with 186 points with a gap of only seven points from the runner-up and being the only entry to receive just one set of 12 points.

 ICELANDIC ENTRY REVEALED!29 July 2020 • Reykjavík, Iceland After 2 weeks of voting in the Icelandic national selection, Ferðin til Georgiú, the voting has finally come to a close. After some very close voting, the closest the delegation has ever seen in their selections, RÚV, the Icelandic broadcaster, has confirmed that a super-final will not be held as the winner had a good lead over the other 3 contestants. Anyway, RÚV is pleased to announce our next entry that will represent us in Georgia.MEET BLANKIFLUR!  Blankiflur is the stage name of Inga Birna Friðjónsdóttir, a new and upcoming singer based in Reykjavik. Being new to the music scene, the singer has only released two singles to this date. On May 1st 2020, Friðjónsdóttir released her first ever single called Above a Fall, which she performed on N4, a TV channel in Iceland and gave an interview with the host.
On July 1st, she released her second single known as Runner Up on Spotify. Seeing an opportunity, Inga decided to apply to participate in the Icelandic national selection, Ferðin til Georgiú, with the exact same song. After a very close and exciting voting process, she managed to end up on top with 15 votes, just 3 above the runner up (ironically), Celebs, and 4 above 3rd placed Kristin Sesselja. After her victory, Friðjónsdóttir stated that:
Being a newcomer to the Icelandic music scene, this is already a huge achievement for me and my team. I am so proud to get this opportunity to represent my country on the European stage, and I will do my very best to return Iceland to the final, where she belongs!

 Moscow, we can announce that we have selected the singer Sabrina (Сабрина) as our representant. Sabrina Bagirova is 29 year old women from Moscow. Her passion is singing and performing and has her own image and style of music. She is still rather unknown and want to take this opportunity to get a wider reach even tho singing in her native language Russian. She told us: "I am convinced I can come across to people across Europe and other parts in the world with my songs even tho performing them in Russian. There are always people out there enjoying foreign music."  She is going to perform her song "Novaya" (Новая) on the North Vision stage in neighboring  Georgia! We wish her the best of luck and wish her a lot of fun with this new experience! |

Yehan Jehan to represent Bosnia&Herzegovina!
BHRT announced today, 30 July 2020, after a long selection process by the expert jury, consisting of Zumreta Midžić, Taida Nazraić, Dalal Midhat, Ilma Karahmet and Melanie Taylor (guest jury from United States, former representative of Bosnia&Herzegovina in North Vision Song Contest #20), it was decided that the Bosnian-British singer Yehan Jehan, now based in France, will represent Bosnia&Herzegovina in North Vision Song Contest #33, in the memory of his father, who was very connected to the Bosnian musical scenery! Born in North London to Bosnian parents, young music maker Yehan Jehan is already an expert in crafting slick, eighties-inspired pop earworms, akin to Tame Impala or Hall & Oates at their dreamiest or stickiest. Weaned on a stew of classic funk, psych and seventies film music, his debut - Swallow the Horizon - is perhaps the perfect introduction to his yacht-rock like tendencies. Yehan Jehan is not new to the Bosnian music scene. He already participated in BH Vision #14 with the song Swallow the Horizon. Contacted by the Bosnian Head of Delegation, the singer mentioned his personal connection to the Balkan nation, but also his father's connection and affirmation in the Bosnian musical scenery of the 80's. Bosnia&Herzegovina has last been represented by a male vocalist in North Vision Song Contest #15, so that a male vocalist is finally sent by the country after 18 editions.

Treat Us Bad is a track from his new EP called Earth Arrangements, Vol. 1. The song has a luscious funk rock sound, and Yehan Jehan declares that “This was one of the last songs I wrote for Earth Arrangements and was an attempt to process anger I was feeling at the time. It’s essentially about people that come in and out of your life who treat you and others like shit. I think it’s the only time where I’ve been so lyrically direct, but I was interested to try it and see where it went.” The track combines these luscious funk guitar melodies that are easy to groove along to, slick harmonies that are reminiscent of Jungle in their early years and some addictive hooks you’ll be singing under your breath for weeks to come.
