 NorthSong 0017 winner revealed – Evangelia to represent the nation! Saturday, 01 August 2020 • 23:00  After another great result brought to the nation by Iasonas Mandilas in Luxembourg City, the broadcaster proudly announced that they would participate once again in the competition. Evangelia to wave the greek flag! After an intense voting procedure, it was finally time for the Greek act to be revealed. Evangelia was revealed to be the Greek representative. She is a new comer, to both the North Vision community as in the pop music industry as well. This time around she will be singing her latest single "Páme Páme", which already have started charting all over the nation!Evangelia, born in New Jersey, United States on May 1993, from Greek parents. She has studied primal education, while she worked on her tracks for the past years. Her music have influences by the modern music but the greek ethnic element, honouring her Cretan roots everytime. Currently her publicity came through her first single, which have been all over the radios, as well as other platforms, like TikTok and Instagram.ERT held a press conference with the representative right after the announcement, where the media had the chance to ask their questions to the singer as well as the Head of Delegation. ✪ SWEDEN HAS FOUND A WINNER! ✪
DOTTER WILL REPRESENT SWEDEN! After a long voting period, Sweden has finally found its winner.
Leading in both, the jury and the televoting, Dotter has emerged as the rightful winner to represent Sweden in the upcoming North Vision Song Contest 33 in Georgia. She managed to gain 188 points, 25 points ahead of the runner-up Awa.

Bolshiee will sing Maniac for Luxembourg! Last week, RTL announced its decision to internally select Bolshiee to follow in Zaryah's footsteps. With increased interest in the contest following a hosting success, her entry was selected via national selection, this for the first time in five editions. Two rounds of voting were held, making it clearer than ever that the people are for Maniac.
RTL will publish a full analysis of the results tomorrow.

 Berenika Kohoutová to wave the  Czech flag in  Batumi, Georgia! After an exciting and eventful voting process, the joint  Slovak - flagczech Czech selection has come to an end. In a press statement, Czech Head of Delegation Julius Horváth expressed his satisfaction with the contest and praised our Slovak colleagues for their hard work and determination, adding that the quality that both countries managed to present served a great opportunity to showcase the best of both music industries.
Without further ado, the song representing Czech Republic in the 33rd edition of the North Vision Song Contest is....The Czech team would like to thank all countries who have voted in at least one round of the contest, we really enjoyed making it and a continuation is expected to follow soon. Brenda Carolina Lawrence is an trap singer born in Cremona, Lombardia in 1997 to an Italian mother and famous American basketball player David Lawrence.
As a child, Brenda was extremely passionate about music, studying the saxophone as well as singing. In May 2019, she competed in The Voice of Italy, reaching the final under Gué Pequeno.
"Catalogarmi" (English: Cataloging me) is a trap song with Afro contaminations, unique to Italy, which is an anti-racism song that sings about the difficulties of being continually judged, labelled on the basis of stereotypes and clichés, which deviate far from reality. The song highlights the inherent hypocrisy in the judgement of others, in this "hidden and lying looks".
 People used to make fun of me because of the color of my skin, my thick curly hair, but as I say in the new single, to be perfect, they get tanned, do the lamps and go to the hairdresser to get a perm... In the last few months I've been reading in the Social media a lot of stories about girls and boys who are constantly judged and this song is for them; I want to send a strong and clear message: we are perfect as we are and we don't have to please anyone but ourselves!

The video, directed by Peter Marvu was mostly shot during the sit in on the Black Lives Matter protest in Cremona on June 10, a homage to George Floyd.
The song was written by Brenda Carolina Lawrence, Max Elias Kleinschmidt, Stefano Paviani and Vizzi Gianvito. I really recommend you to read the lyrics, they're some of the most powerful lyrics I have read in a long, long time.
