Welcome to the Latvian choice! Hello Europe! As announced, Latvia will come back to NVSC after one edition break. We have a choice to submit to you. Both singers in competition were already on our shortlist for the national selection that took part two editions ago.
One of these singers is probably expected by many people, since she already participated to several editions of NVSC and many national selections in Latvia and Lithuania for Eurovision Song Contest. And due to the fact that her song Still Breathing was finally chosen for Eurovision Song Contest, it became uneligible in our contest. But she released a new song afterwards, called I got the power, and she is now one step away from North Vision Song Contest.
But everything can still change. Because we have a strong challenger with an emerging singer called ELIZZA. Eliza Salinieka (her real name) was born on 10th of May 1993 in Latvia and moved in 2011 to London - where she still lives - in order to study at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute. Her catchy song Habit published last month convinced us that despite being much less notorious than her opponent, she was able to be a serious pretender for the Latvian spot in the main contest - and at least have decent results in OGAN contest.
