Libya confirms participation ليبيا تؤكد المشاركة
Tripoli • 24 October 2020
After another unexpected top six placing in Bissau, LRT has just confirmed that Libya will participate in the upcoming fourth edition of the Own Africavision Song Contest, to be held in Mauritius. Despite success of the national selection format Iihya, it was also confirmed that it will not serve as the country's selection process of their next representative due to financial constraints. Instead, an entry has already been internally selected by the broadcaster, with insiders reporting that a native act will represent the country in the contest for the first time in the history of Libyan participations. An official confirmation is expected to come within a few days during a scheduled presentation show.

GUINEA-BISSAU IS READY TO FLOP IN MAURITIUS!
Bissau, 24 October 2020 - After achieving a place in the butt 🍑 of the scoreboard during our time hosting the third edition, we are happy to announce that we will be present in the fourth edition to be held in Mauritius.
Despite the unfortunate placing LYAN recieved, we are still proud of him for being willing to perform as host entry.
As for our next entry, it will most likely be selected internally. We are already considering selecting another French bop, just like we did when we debuted in the contest. Maybe we can also expect a different style from us this edition. But nothing has been confirmed yet.
We wish the best of luck to the Mauritian broadcaster in hosting the fourth edition, as well as to all participating countries!
