Team Sis Anne Diarrhoea First up, Team Sis Anne Diarrhoea. Let's hear what the judges had to say about your floorshow. Krampu$$y: First of all, your folk song was pretty nice. The beat of the song is great and I bopped a bit to it. Maybe the song was still a bit repetitive, but overall it's a solid submission. Your second entry was a whopper. It's the only entry of this week that specifically mentions the future, so that was a plus point. The lyrics could've been a bit more dystopian I think, because without the video, I'm not sure I would've connected them to the challenge theme. Nevertheless, it's a great choice and I liked how you built a bridge between the two songs. Junglepu$$y: Your folk song this week was pretty good, but I liked the explanation behind it more than the song itself I'm afraid. Your future song was fantastic, I loved the contrast between this and the folk song and the song itself is a banger as well. Well done! Angelyne: y’alls folk song was cute. but, idk, it’s just a little too safe for me. we love baba yaga here, she’s a good friend of mine, but i feel this doesnt do her enough justice, because she’s a vile woman, so for me it just doesn’t fit. but… the dystopian song however is a different story.. because it’s chef’s kiss right there. it fits the challenge and it creates a very nice contrast with the other song… while i have no complaints about the song, for future reference miss sis anne desist, you need to show us that you’re not a one trick pony, you’ve brought some great j-pop bangers here, but versatility is very important if you want to get far in this competition.

Team ShivaQL8 Next up, Team ShivaQL8. Let's hear what the judges had to say about your floorshow. Junglepu$$y: The folk song was nice enough, probably the best one of the overall unimpressing bunch. It's a well known legend but I get why you chose it based on your explanation. Good job. Your future song however... Can I say choices? I get where you were going with this, but surely you must've seen through the obvious fault we would have with it? You know... Fantasia? Even putting that aside, I'm not exactly impressed by your explanation here, I suppose you could draw those conclusions, but it's maybe not as well thought out as your folk choice. Angelyne: the first song is mmm… i don’t know. on one hand, i think y’all did a great job with the interpretation of the challenge and the song really fits. on the other hand, i kind of don’t care for this really. i just want a little more oomph. a little more ahh. then there’s the dystopian song. while i truly appreciate that y’all sent something from iceland, and i really do stan this song. it just doesn’t fit right,,, like yeah the MV is a little dystopian i guess, but that’s it. i think it’s truly a stretch to try to fit the lyrics with a dystopia. but maybe that’s just me. Krampu$$y: Your folk entry was a good choice. I liked how the song had a build-up and enjoyed the instrumentation of it. Regarding the folk legend, I'd say that yours is probably the most famous of the week. Now, the second choice left me a bit torn. I get what you mean by saying it references a dystopian future but I think the connection isn't as strong as I would've liked it to be, I wanted them to reference a dystopian future a bit more explicitly, as my current view of the song is "ok I guess it kinda fits but only like 70%". Additionally, this being a former FC entry did not exactly please me, because it's nothing new or original. You're very lucky that I love this song because if it was only for the challenge execution, this would've been a flop for me.

Team Tess-Dookular Torshun Next up, Team Tess-Dookular Torshun. Let's hear what the judges had to say about your floorshow. Angelyne: ok, so like… y’all did the challenge right, and this is very clearly about a folk tale and all that, so you get points for that. the song itself however is just… bad. i just did not like listening to that. it’s very haunting and creepy, that i will give you credit for. but this was not an enjoyable experience whatsoever. the dystopian song, the flav. that was the shit. very quintessentially dystopian and industrial really is the epitome of dystopian music. the lyrics maybe don’t really connect to dystopia, but the music makes up for it. Krampu$$y: I was intrigued by your folk song, this is a legend that I never heard about and I enjoyed learning something new. I also liked the dark vibe of it, which embodied the legend. Your dystopian future entry was a bop I'd say. I definitely got the references and why it fits the challenge, even though the connection might not be very visible on first glance. Good entry. Junglepu$$y: I didn't really enjoy any of the folk songs too much this week, but out of all of them I think this is the one I enjoyed the least. It's just really not that good of a song. The legend you've chosen is fine, and I definitely get the connection, but the song itself... Meh. Your dystopian song on the other hand blew it out of the water. I enjoyed this a lot and it's one where I totally felt like yes, this one was intended for the challenge assigned. Well done on this choice!

Team Ordgia Next up, Team Ordgia. Let's hear what the judges had to say about your floorshow. Krampu$$y: Hmm, I was a bit disappointed with you two this week. Let's start with the folk entry. The legend sounded really interesting and after I read your description of the artist, I was ready for an experience. I ended up being a bit underwhelmed though. The song is cute but as we already know, cute isn't enough. While listening to it, my attention kept drifting and that is not a good sign. I did like the instrumentation of it, so it's certainly not a bad song, but it's kind of just there. Your second entry was interesting. The lyrics seemed to take place in today's society which I consider to be a misstep. Yes, our world sucks but the challenge wasn't to describe how terrible our world is today, it was about how much worse it's going to get in the future. The song itself was a bit of a mess and the French part left me thoroughly unimpressed. The ending of the song was better and I started liking it but overall this just didn't really convince me. Junglepu$$y: Your folk song again, like most others is pretty good, but overall kind of middling. It's a compelling legend and one I didn't know much about beforehand, but the song itself doesn't help me get a clearer picture of the legend itself, I feel. Your second song, well, is a massive miss for me. First of all, lyrically I don't get anything future from it and I feel like it's more a description of today's world. Secondly, the song itself is just, not...good? It's more proof to me that trying to get across a dystopian message with loud and abrasive isn't always the way to go, because the song itself is really just messy and convoluted in a really bad way. Angelyne: i have to give you some props because in my humble opinion y’all had the best folk & dystopian song this week, it’s a shame that it isn’t recognized. y’all nailed everything from challenge interpretation and just delivering the whoppers, well done bitches.

Team Fuhlei Burner And finally, Team Fuhlei Burner. Let's hear what the judges had to say about your floorshow. Junglepu$$y: Your folk song was lovely, middling, but good enough, one of the best ones I'd say. I liked the legend and the song represents your chosen legend well, so good job on that. Your dystopian future song describes the year 2016 and not a dystopian future. The song itself is not bad, but it's not a good fit for the challenge at hand. Angelyne: the first song was really REALLY good, like this was what i wanted to hear from this challenge, and you delivered that, and santa muerte is really a classic folk tale so this was really it for me this week. however, my beef is with this dystopian song. see, i can forgive a 9 minute song, as long as it is an experience. what i experienced however was boredom. like yes, the song is about a dystopian world. but this is just really run-of-the-mill for me. this would’ve been fine if it was like 3 to 4 minutes. but 9 minutes is just too much. Krampu$$y: I enjoyed your folk song quite a lot. Your legend was another one that I didn't know and I think your represented it fairly well. Concerning your 9 minute long dystopian entry, I have almost the same critique as for Team Ordgia. The world in 2020 is obviously shit and probably even more so than it was in 2016 when the song was written, but I wanted to read what the world might look like in 20, 50, 100 or 1000 years, not a summary of what it looks like right now. And the song itself... I understand that it takes a while to accurately summarise today's issues but the song just dragged on and on. I mentally checked out halfway through.

Team Fuhlei Burner and Team ShivaQL8Your folk songs went into the right direction but your dystopian entries were exactly that. I'm sorry, but all four of you are up for extermination.
