 | Artists of Lietuvos Garsai are announced! |
It's been few hard weeks for the 
Lithuanian broadcaster LRT picking 10 artists who will compete in the first ever edition of Lietuvos Garsai, however, tonight this list can finally be published. A total of 729 applications were sent for the broadcaster expressing their interest representing Lithuania in the contest, however, LRT had to scrap the number to 10, selecting the most promising artists. Take a look below!
All of the songs were also (at least partly) written by the singers themselves. 8 songs will be performed in Lithuanian, while the remaining 2 will be in English. All of the competing artists are originally Lithuanian and currently are based in the Baltic country.
It was also decided that out of the cities that expressed interest in hosting the first edition of the national selection, Kaunas will be chosen with Žalgiris Arena serving as the venue. Monique, who finished 13th in the second semi-final last edition in 
Bologna with her song "Friends" will host the event.
Lastly, 10 juries have been already chosen to give their detailed critiques about the competing songs. After spending hours assessing different criteria, LRT has chosen the following countries to serve as the jurors in the first edition of Lietuvos Garsai:
