The North Broadcasting Union proudly presents...
The Official Theme Art of North Vision Song Contest 37.
It is all about...
The Moon and The Wolf
A spectacular artwork designed to connect Norse mythology and modern society, live from the Swedish capital Stockholm, is ready to be unveiled.
The NBU council strives to always present not only an exceptional artwork in terms of appearance, but to deliver a message and establish a connection to the host country, as well as to all the fans around the globe. This edition's theme art is no exception, celebrating the thirty-seventh edition by connecting all European capitals a unique constellation of stars and moreover taking inspiration from Fenrir, a monstrous wolf of Norse mythology. Fearing Fenrir’s strength and knowing that only evil could be expected of him, the gods bound him with a magical chain made of various occult elements, such as the sound of a cat’s footsteps, the beard of a woman or the breath of fish. When the chain was placed upon him, Fenrir bit off the hand of the god Tyr. He was gagged with a sword and was destined to lie bound to a rock until the Ragnarök, known as the End of the World, when he will break his bonds and fall upon the gods. Fenrir figures prominently in Nordic poetry of the 10th and 11th centuries, and the poets speak apprehensively of the day when he will break loose. A reflection of today's society, prejudices leading to figurative chains, preventing you from showcasing your full potential. Breaking bonds - a clear message the NBU wants to send. Don't be afraid to free yourself until you are yourself.
Avicii Arena, located in Stockholm, is the largest hemispherical building on Earth and took two and a half years to build. Shaped like a large white ball, matching with this edition's logo, it has a diameter of 110 metres (360 ft) and an inner height of 85 metres (279 ft). It has a seating capacity of 16,000 spectators to view all three shows of the 37th edition of the North Vision Song Contest, marking the second time in history in which Stockholm will host the competition. Previously named Stockholm Globe Arena and Ericsson Globe, it was announced in 2021 that the arena would be renamed the Avicii Arena in honour of late Swedish DJ Avicii, who committed suicide in 2018.
