The voting of the 22nd edition of "Pivnichbachennya Vidbir Natsionalnii" has already been closed for quite a time, the winner has been decided (in total 11 juries and 18 televoters) and is now ready to be revealed to the European public and even beyond! Who will try and get the trophy for Ukraine in Sweden? Proudly present, the winner of PNV #22 with 176 points and the Ukrainian representative of NVSC #38... ERIA!
Iryna Boyarkina (commonly known as ERIA) is a 35-year-old  Ukrainian singer born in a little town called Prohebyshche in the center of Ukraine. She is no big stranger to the Ukrainian audience as she appeared on Ukrainian TV quite often, namely in shows like "X Factor" or the Ukrainian version of "The Voice". She graduated from the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, shortly before she started her musical career by joining the still active band "Mysteria", composing and singing in the genre of symphonic metal and symphonic rock.
The song that outsold the runner-up Max Barskih by 37 points and that ERIA will perform in the United Kingdom is her latest song called "Mavka", a composition full of pure Ukrainian ethnicity, striking drums and a folk-like music video accompagnied. Mavka is a figure taken from Ukrainian mythology, a beautiful forest nymph that is said to be a dangerous creature for young men. In her song, she really calls for this figure in order to get a bit of her power and strength, which comes into effect through the striking and somewhat epic instrumental. The singer herself told the media that apparently one of the most popular composers worldwide, Hans Zimmer, helped her with the creation of this ethno-pop masterpiece. In an interview, she said the following:
"С барабанами интересная история. Он подсказал именно эти звуки. Он также использует у себя очень много этники международной, а именно тут сказал, что можно взять именно эти барабаны..."
(Translation: "The drums have an interesting story. He [Hans Zimmer himself] suggested these sounds to me. He also uses quite a lot of international ethnicity for himself, but here in particular, he told me to use exactly these drums here...")

 | Expect the unexpected: Lietuvos Garsai 2 comes to an end |
After an extremely tough edition of  Lietuvos Garsai 2, the winner has been finally crowned. Having won the first round of the grand final and receiving 65.52% of the votes in the super-final, Vaida will wave the Baltic country flag in the grand final of  North Vision Song Contest 38 with her song "Netikėta" ("Unexpected").
Vaida Dėksnytė, or simply Vaida, is a rising artist in the Lithuanian music scene. In 2021, Vaida competed in The Voice of Lithuania, where being part of Monika Liu's team, she came 3rd, losing to MeidĖ, who brought Lithuania a second place in the thirty-seventh edition with her song "Vaiduoklis". During the competition, Vaida recorded her first song "Skrendu su Vėju". Few months later, member of jautì (8th place in Lietuvos Garsai 1 with "Parodyk Tikrą Veidą"), Džiugas Širvys wrote a song with Vaida called "Nuo Pradžių". After the release of Džiugas' album, the song appeared in the Spotify Viral Lithuania Top 50 page.
Speaking of "Netikėta", Vaida explains, that the song and its video clip required a lot of courage and bravery to show the real her. As Vaida says, "Netikėta" is a song with which she releases not only hers, but everyone's revelry. "I felt a huge desire to put my insanity into a piece of music and reflect on psychological gloominess, nihilism and insane, theatric spirit". "Netikėta" will be the 20th song in the Lithuanian language ever performed in the North Vision Song Contest.

Moroccan entry revealed!Casablanca ☆ 20th March 2022Following the confirmation for the Moroccan participation ,  2MTV made an official announcement today, regarding the artist and the song that will represent Morocco in Leeds. And now without further ado, the broadcaster is now ready to reveal who has been selected to represent Morocco in the 38th North Vision Song Contest.
Yacine Dessouki & NDRK feat. Nukad
Moroccan duo Nader Khairi, aka NDRK and Yacine Dessouki are up-and-coming music producers from Casablanca and London who have already cut their teeth producing tracks for labels such as Sapiens, Borders Of Light, Frau Blau and Eleatics Records. Their sound is instantly recognisable and truly unique, as it draws upon a multitude of genres from indie dance, to melodic techno, to electronica and beyond.
They will be accompanied by Nukad who provides the vocals for the track. Nukad is a Moroccan singer, songwriter, and scientist born in Agadir. Being born in a family of music, she was already part of a local choral of Andalousi and Malhoune music at an early age of 6, for a period of 5 years. Her inspirations are deeply ethnic and Amazigh.

 The big decision made in Azerbaijan! Another edition of Layihə: Northvision has come to an end, and AzTV can finally announce the act who will represent Azerbaijan at the North Vision Song Contest 38. The results were proven to be neck-to-neck without a runaway winner, with the winner only made clear at the final moment of the voting.
 Hiss (Röya Mammadova) is a 26-year-old Baku-born singer. Bringing a new breath to the industry with her songs that blend different interpretations and genres, Hiss has reached more than 55 million views on Youtube with his songs. She gained significant fame in Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Georgia and Germany right after releasing her fifth single "İstəmirəm". Trending on the Top 50 in Shazam Turkey for several months in a row, the song racked more than 18 million plays on Youtube and over 2 million streams on Spotify, while being playlisted in no less than 48,000 user playlists. According to the singer, her stage name, which translates to "feel" or "feeling", is embodied through the emotions of her songs in the way she tries to make them follow a certain meaning, usually about everyday life.
With the trap-pop song "Bela", she managed to impress both the international jurors and the AzTV viewers at the national selection show Layihə: Northvision 38, the latter which awarded the song with 41.18% of the votes in the superfinal round. Attaching great importance to the prominence and empowerment of women, Hiss worked with a team of 40 women for its music video which can be viewed below. This also marks the first time that Azerbaijan will be represented at the North Vision Song Contest with a song performed in the Turkish language.

France in the North Vision Song Contest
France has participated in the North Vision Song Contest a total of 34 times, since its debut in the very first edition and obtained quite a few successes since then, qualifying 23 times out of all participations. In all their participations they got placed 2nd, their best placement, a total of 4 times, obtained by: Leslie, Marie-Mai, Dania Giò, and Kendji Girac. A new Head of Delegation took over in the 34th edition, known for his great track record when it comes to qualifications, still to this way unbroken. • Latvia has found it's National Selection winner for Leeds! •
Following the very first edition of  Latvija Decides, the brand new national selection for Latvia, which was composed of 5 songs, entierely in the Latvian language, a winner has been picked, by a set of 10 International Jury, and the Latvian televote.
And after winning both jury and televote, the winner of selection is:

With the score of 152 Points (77 from the Juries and 75 from the Televote), Būū, the artist name of Ilze Fārte has been picked to follow up the steps of Nola, which achieved an amazing 9th place last edition.
We are wishing the best to Būū, but also to all participants and may they not end up having to take a detour to visit Ventspils next edition, although this is a nice city to visit!
