 RELAX NVSC, THEY'RE BACK!26 March 2022 • Reykjavík, Iceland  RÚV confirmed Iceland's participation a month ago. Since then, there has been radio silence in the country, with no updates until this week. Although RÚV planned to reveal the entry tomorrow, as per their schedule, a leak on a "kiki server" enticed the broadcaster to reveal earlier.
Judging by the title, we have a returnee this edition who will fly the Icelandic flag in the  United Kingdom. No point dragging this out further, welcome back...ULTRAFLEX!  Yes, that's right - the iconic  Icelandic-Norwegian duo Ultraflex are back to the North Vision Song Contest after 3 editions away.
Ultraflex is made up of both Farao and Special-K. The two met up in  Berlin and began working together there.
The duo are no strangers to the North Vision Song Contest - as they represented Iceland in the pre-qualification round in the 35th edition with their song Full of Lust. Despite not advancing to the semi-finals, the girls developed a fanbase in Europe who have called themselves Ultraflexers. Commenting on their early elimination on RÚV, they stated that:
It definitely wasn't what we wanted. But I suppose what we gained from it outweighs the result - considering how many new fans we got from our performance, that means more to us than getting a spot in the semi-finals. The other qualifiers didn't fare too well in the semi-finals if we recall... well maybe except for one of them. Icelandic fans were not expecting the duo to return so soon. However, RÚV wanted to give the girls a second chance, this time to participate in the semi-finals in Leeds. The girls stated on their Instagram page that:
It feels surreal being back after a short time. We are honoured to participate for this beautiful nation. However we are going to give NVSC a performance they won't forget. Though our entry might be quirky, we are glad to bring something different to the contest.

 It's Bicep for Ireland!  RTÉ is proud to reveal that Bicep will represent  Ireland in the upcoming edition of the North Vision Song Contest, to be held in Leeds, United Kingdom, following their victory in the very first edition of amhrán. Bicep are an electronic music production and DJ duo from Belfast formed in 2009 and consisting of childhood friends Andrew Ferguson and Matthew McBriar. After signing to Ninja Tune in 2017, Bicep released their debut album Bicep, which went in at number 20 on the UK Albums Chart, and received critical acclaim, with support from publications such as Pitchfork, The Guardian, Resident Advisor and Mixmag. The lead single, "Glue", was voted by the public as DJ Mag's (Best of British) Track of the Year. It also reached number 1 on Amazon's Best Electronic of 2017, and came second in Mixmag's 100 Best Tracks of 2017. Bicep released their second album Isles on Ninja Tune on 22 January 2021. They released the lead single "Apricots" with a music video from BAFTA-winner director Mark Jenkin.   NASRIN KADRI TO REPRESENT  ISRAEL!The fourth edition of Israelifest found its winner: Nasrin Kadri will represent her home country in the Northvision Song Contest 38, which is set to take place in the United Kingdom. She will perform the song "Jeans O Tights".
NASRIN KADRI
Nasrin Kadri was born to a muslim family in Lod, and grew up in Haifa. Kadri has started her career when she participated and won the reality singing show "Eyal Golan Calls You" in 2012. With her first album being released at 2014, she later became one of the most known Israeli artists. Later in 2019 she became a judge in the Israeli version of "The Voice".
Nasrin is no stranger to the NorthVision stage as she took part in the 33rd edition of NVSC along with Static & Ben El Tavori and finished 7th with their hit "Habib Albi"! She also participated Israelifest 1 | Shir  Le'Rusia, where she was eliminated in the semi-final & participated in Israelifest 3 | Shir  Le'Shvedia where she finished 8th.
Since then, in 2020 Narkis performed at the central 72nd Israel Independence Day ceremonies on Mount Herzl.

Last edition, the Belgian representative for Stockholm, Mathilde Fernandez, has been chosen internally by the RTBF professional commission. She unfortunately failed to qualify, barely missing out on the final by just 4 points. Country's first non-qualification since the thirty-first edition didn't mean the selection process had to be changed. This time, VRT decided to follow RTBF's footsteps and opted for an internal selection Today, during a morning show, the Flemish broadcaster announced the name of the Belgian entrant who will wave the country's flag in the United Kingdom.
Grace Khuabi (19) is a Belgian singer with Congolese roots who became popular after winning The Voice van Vlaanderen. She was born in Amsterdam, but moved to Belgium at the age of four and immediately changed her nationality. She lived in Antwerp until she was seven and then finally settled in Sint-Niklaas along with her parents. Grace comes from a family where music plays a vital role. Khuabi gained experience in the music academy where she learned how to play the violin. Besides that, Grace was a member of a youth choir.
She wants to make music that gives everyone positive energy. Songs where she can sing, dance and in which she can combine English and French. Her North Vision entry - "No Fool", co-written with Carlos Vrolijk and Isabèl Usher, creates happiness by integrating African music elements with fresh pop sound. She sings about how someone has broken her trust, but that has not affected her own strength. Another striking fact is that she not only does it in English, but also performs stanzas in French, which provides a pleasant variety. After an exciting and long national selection, the small European country has found the next representative for a new edition of the Northvision Song Contest. The Gold Final of the "Festival dei Castelli 15" is won by Mara Sattei, she will fly to UK to represent San Marino.
 Mara Sattei aka Sara Mattei is a 27-year-old Italian singer born in Rome, she is the sister of rapper and producer Davide Mattei, better known as Tha Supreme. A few years ago she reverses the initials of her name and surname and Sara Mattei becomes Mara Sattei. On March 27, the girl was announced as the next Sammarinese representative in the continent-wide European music competition Northvision Song Contest. In Leeds, the talented singer will present the country with her song “Ciò che non dici”.
Mara Sattei was declared the winner of the national selection for the next Sammarinese representative for the contest. She won the gold final, against Enula, Ellynora and the duo Theia.
The singer's main challenge was with the duo Theia. She arrives first in the grand final with 12 singers, only one point behind the two girls, and equalizes the points in the gold final.
