Season 1 · Episode 7
All Yuh Bacchanal Send a soca song. All kinds are valid: afro, bouyon, chutney, dennery segment, fusion, groovy, jabjab, ragga, power. Just make sure it's a soca song and the artist says it's soca. Don't you dare try passing off dancehall as soca :silveria:

CHIBU KHAKI Melly Rose - Body Good
When I applied I was 100% sure this challenge was going to be early on (first/second episode) so I kind of searched my stuff and shit after applying as I didnt want to be the first out. Ι think this is one of the best soca songs I ever listened to but I still expect Gigi/Bitta to pull something amazingly good out of their ass once again so I won't get hyped just yet..

GIGI WELPLADE xx
Hi my gummilicious girlies! It's me! Gigi! But y'all already know that x. So today we totally get to bring you the calypso realness! I am feeling island hot right now, and that's because I am listening to the absolute banger "Go Gal" by the queen of soca herself Alison Hinds. Miss thing is a legend of the game. Even in her glamorous 50s she is serving you socalicious flavour. If I had an ass to shake it would be bouncing to the roof queenies. Big up your girlos ladies and feel every inch of ya body to this twerkilicous track. YASSSSSSSSS!!
Lyrics:
Dey love it when yuh wine and yuh bounce it
Baby time to show dem how yuh wine and yuh bounce it
Dey love it when yuh wine and yuh bounce, yeah
Get low Gyal low Gyal low Gyal low

(っ◔◡◔)っ ♥ PRAGMA TICK ♥ EPISODE 7 ALL YUH BACCHANAL
Send a Soca song
Patrice Roberts Tender I'm having a hard time here because I don't usually listen to soca or any similarly adjacent music so I'm unaware of what is considered good and bad. Though, I enjoy my suggestion for this week's challenge. It's not as upbeat as what the other dolls might bring, but I think it encapsulates the Caribbean atmosphere and spirit. It's laid back, perfect for relaxation on the beaches of Trinidad!

Bitta Pill: All Yuh Bacchanal After a prolonged period of agony (involving a lot of close calls, some genre mis-directions and a heap of terrible songs) I think I have found something.
Siig's - Best Side This completely caught me by surprise. It falls under bouyon, a subsection of Caribbean music that is a frequent fusion partner with soca. It's a little darker than some of the other song here, but the beat is infectious and it really makes me want to get up and dance the house down!
If you want to question the validity of the song with regards to this challenge, Siig's is classed as a bouyon artist on the Every Noise At Once genre database (https://everynoise.com/engenremap-bouyon.html)

ALL YUH BACANAL (the glitter text site wasnt working )
i'm not very familiar with soca, so i have to admit, i googled "women of soca" and went thru the list..... BUT, when i saw Nailah Blackman's i was like..... it clicked. something felt RIGHT and FAMILIAR about her. miss nailah comes from a famous soca family, and wikipedia says she is "strongly associated" with the soca genre... and this song just slaps tha fuck and it feels right. luv the beats, it's giving brazilian funk, it's carribbean, it's giving afro, bouyon, chutney, dennery segment, fusion, groovy, jabjab, ragga, power and NOT dancehall!
