Meet the final 32 Fantasifestivalen acts

Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced the 32 acts to compete in Fantasifestivalen 38 that is scheduled to be held soon.

The winner of Fantasifestivalen represents Sweden at the North Vision Song Contest.

In a slightly revamped format, a total of 32 acts will compete over 4 semi finals and one Second Chance round, with the best of the best battling out in a grand final.

Popstars Anis Don Demina, David Lindgren and Eva Rydberg assume hosting duties this edition.

Let’s take a look at the 32 acts, the song titles and writing teams.

Semi-Final 1 - Örebro

				ABY iO
				Funeral

ABY iO may be a newcomer to the Fantasifestivalen stage, but is for sure not unexperienced in the music industry. As former part of the music duo Arrhult with his sister, he started gaining recognition in 2017 due to their collaboration with Swedish musician Joakim Lundell.

After they have decided to go separate ways musically, Arvid adopted his stage name ABY iO and is ready to perform his debut single in Fantasifestivalen.

				Bon Voyage

Having represented Sweden at the thirty-third North Vision Song Contest with Backfire, she is no stranger to big stages.

Being around since 2014, Dotter has competed several times in Fantasifestivalen, never missed a final and won once to date. Her entry this edition marks her first apperance in the competition with a Swedish language song, in hopes to return to the Northvision stage.

				Ella Rammelt
				Salty Skin

Ella Rammelt's dream has always been to pursue a music career. Born in 2002, she started singing shortly thereafter.

The pop singer wants to stand up for human equality regardless of nationality, skin color, gender identity or sexual orientation through her music. She also wants to raise awareness about the more and more widespread mental illness among young people.

				Emma-Lee Andersson
				Vi har iallafall inte tråkigt

Pop-folk singer Emma-Lee Andersson relaunched her own career under her own name, having previously competed in Fantasifestivalen under the stage name Bellhouse.

Now performing songs in Swedish and co-writing her own music, she hopes to connect deeply to the Swedish audience. Her previous Fantasifestivalen entry was co-written by her now opponent Dotter.

				HOUSE OF SAY
				Want You Bad, Love

HOUSE OF SAY are Sanne and Sebastian, a Swedish electronic pop writer & producer duo.

They write music in a little cabin in the woods of the Swedish countryside Hälsingland and have already appeared on the soundtrack to Netflix's Can You Hear Me?

				Kristin Amparo
				Dark Skies

Kristin Amparo attended Adolf Fredrik's Music School in Stockholm and rose to fame by her participation in season 1 of the Swedish X Factor in 2012.

She already collected some Fantasifestivalen experience, having competed in the very first Fantasifestivalen edition with DJ John de Sohn.

				Sandro Cavazza
				Shameless

Sandro Cavazza is a singer-songwriter, who already worked with Avicii and Kygo before. The song Without You with Avicii was nominated at the Swedish Grammis in 2017.

He recently announced, that Fantasifestivalen would be his final project as a singer and he intends to focus on his career as a songwriter in the future.

				Steerner feat. Dayce Williams
				Rush

Steerner's happy tunes are showing great streaming results from platforms such as Spotify, he gained millions of streams on his biggest hit so far 'Friends'.

The House/EDM DJ & producer from Stockholm has previously taken part in this contest with the help of Robin Stjernberg's vocals. This time around he will be joined by singer Dayce Williams.

Semi-Final 2 - Sundsvall

Cameron Cartio is a Swedish singer, who was born in Iran and is currently residing in California with his family.

He likes to combine pop music with traditional elements of his origin. He has collaborated with former North Vision entrants Khaled and Edurne and his songs remain popular in Iran, Sweden, as well as in the Iranian diaspora.

				Love Is Overrated

Swedish singer and keyboardist Rasmus Flyckt rose to fame as a member of the Stockholm-based dance-pop act Urban Cone. The band has collaborated with artists like Porter Robinson and played high-profile festivals around the world, including Way Out West and the Roskilde Festival.

He competed in Fantasifestivalen before, both as solo act, as well as with his band Urban Cone last edition.

				Lies For A Liar

Born in Sweden, Elin Gerd Mona Lundgren was surrounded by a love for music from the moment she could walk and talk.

Commuting between Stockholm and London, where she enrolled in music studies at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance as a singer-songwriter, she ultimately made her way back to Stockholm and found her musical self. A lifetime in the making, her songs are now ready to be shared with the world.

Louise Anderrson Bodin is a YouTube comedian and personal trainer. In 2015, her YouTube and Facebook videos had made her known all over Sweden in a very short time. She frequently uses her popularity on social media to shed light on the issue of drug abuse and suicide, which is unfortunately a big topic in her home town Grums.

This Fantasifestivalen participation does not mark the first time, that she has collaborated with Swedish singer-songwriter and producer Rasmus Gozzi.

				Maia Wright
				Quit Your Job

Maia Wright, from Enskede, is a talented pop melody and lyric writer, with writing credits on tracks with artists, such as Tritonal and Young Bombs, as well as a feature on a track with KREAM – all of which were featured on Billboard Dance charts.

Recent placement is the single "Decisions" with KREAM for the Netflix TV-series LUCIFER. Despite already competing three times, including as her Swedish alter ego Junie, she has never qualified for the final to date and hopes to change that this edition.

				Maxida Märak feat. Melissa Horn

Maxida Märak is a Swedish-Sámi joik singer, hip hop musician, actress and activist with a special interest in the rights of the Sámi people. In 2015, she sang the World Cup song "Love Last Forever" along with music group Mando Diao for the 2015 skiing world cup.

Her debut in Fantasifestivalen will be supported by singer-songwriter Melissa Horn, who has previously represented Sweden in the fourth North Vision Song Contest and finished fourteenth. This marks her first return since that edition.

				Smash Into Pieces
				The Rain

Smash Into Pieces is an explosive five piece rock band with worldwide aspirations from Örebro, Sweden.

The band gained national recognition by advancing to the semifinals of the TV-show "Sweden´s Got Talent" in 2009 but dropped out of the competition to sign a record deal with Ninetone Records. But it was only in 2012, that they signed a record deal with Gain / Sony Music and started getting bigger in Sweden. They are one of the most successful rock groups in Fantasifestivalen history.

				Tove Styrke
				Start Walking

Born in the university town of Umeå, Tove Styrke was inspired to pursue a performing career by her ballet instructor mother and her father, Anders Ostman, who scored a Swedish number one in the '70s.

She entered the 2009 Swedish version of Pop Idol and finished in third place. Following the show, she signed a deal with Sony Records and gained an increasing critical acclaim as an independent artist resulting in her single Say My Name being included in Rolling Stone's 100 best songs of the decade.

				Missing You Sucks

A onetime member of Ace of Base and songwriter for EDM acts like David Guetta and Tiësto, Swedish pop singer Clara Mae stepped forward with her first solo material in the mid-2010s. Clara Mae Hagman developed an interest in music early in life, and by her teenage years she was competing in national singing competitions.

Clara has already competed in Fantasifestivalen, Den Norsken Sangen and also in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix before, where she ultimately won to represent Denmark in the twenty-fifth edition with DJ Bladtkramer and the song While I'm Young.

				What Love Do

Dajana Lööf is a Swedish singer, songwriter and television host. She came into the spotlight in 2003 when she was a contestant and finalist in the talent show Fame Factory. She has also been hosting the nightly game show Nattöppet on TV4 and Lustgården on TV3.

Dajana co-wrote the song Aphrodisiac performed by singer Eleftheria Eleftheriou.

				Graham Lake
				Focus

Emerging from Sweden is Graham Lake, is a Stockholm-born singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who is still just 20-years old.

His music is described to be a flawless fusion of rap and electronic pop, that compliments Graham's distinctive vocals. His Fantasifestivalen entry was co-produced by a member of former Fantasifestivalen participant Galantis.

				Good Things Come To Those Who Wait

A familiar face to Northvision fans, having represented Sweden at the thirty-second North Vision Song Contest with his song I Don't Need Your Love, finishing in 13th place.

He first gained fame through a X Factor participation at the age of 14. He loves jazz, singing sad songs, which he composes on the piano. He decided to return to Fantasifestivalen with an entry quite different from his previous entries.

				LIAMOO & Klara Hammarström

LIAMOO won the hearts and minds of the good people of Sweden back in 2016 when he won Idol, showcasing his abilities as both a singer and a rapper.

Klara Hammarström, who previously competed at horse riding, rose to fame by her appearance along with her family in the SVT series Familjen Hammarström, before becoming a singer.

Having compered separately at Fantasifestivalen before, they have now joined forces for a duet in Swedish!

Råsa, whose real name is Josefine Myrberg, first gained national recognition from her time on Swedish Idol.

Since then, she has launched a new pop career under the moniker, råsa. In terms of genre, she describes her music as Swedish pop that's a bit wild or dirty and imperfect, as life is not perfect either.

				Cry Over Me

Rhys Clarstedt is a Swedish-American singer and songwriter, who moved to Stockholm from Portland, Oregon at the age of ten.

Her first music single Swallow Your Pride was released in 2016 and named Song of the Week by Sveriges Radio. In 2017, the US fashion magazine Vogue published an article about Rhys while she appeared at Stockholm Fashion Week.

Victor Crone is a Swedish country pop singer from Osteraker best known for his single Storm.

At the age of eighteen, he relocated from Nashville to Los Angeles and began creating music for a variety of musicians, including Diane Warren, where he takes his inspiration for his own music from.

Semi-Final 4 - Malmö

				Break Closed-Minded Bars

Sweden's toughest and tightest face slap is spelled Browsing Collection. With their punk and metal influenced hard rock they deliver a show where no one leaves without an aching neck or a sore throat.

The kick ass quartet has during the years been receiving a lot of scholarships and prizes for their music along with writing songs for Swedish television and playing at the biggest festivals in the country and touring Europe and South Korea.

				Sex Myself

Günther is a Swedish character, played by Mats Söderlund, who used to be a model in his youth, and then later the owner of two nightclubs in Malmö.

He is most known for his viral Eurodance parody Ding Dong Song (You Touch My Tralala), featuring The Sunshine Girls. Examples of the most popular fan-made videos include US soldiers in Iraq dancing to the song, YouTube users in front of their computers lip-synching, and various edited parodies.

LÉON was born in Stockholm, Sweden into a musical family. She began her musical career as front-woman of a hip hop and soul group in her teens before embarking on a solo career in 2015.

She is the fifth North Vision artist, that returns to Fantasifestivalen 38, having previously finished sixth in the twenty-eighth edition with her song You and I.

				Boom Boom

Swedish/Persian Nikita and Persian SheryM come together as a band with a shared respect for commitment to creativity and the belief that music and dance have the power to change lives.

Nikita's songs have accumulated 96 million streams with concerts all over the states and Asia and have today over a quarter million followers on Instagram.

Shery rose to initial fame of releasing her first single at 2014 and had a big success during the past years with millions of streams and live concerts in Asia, middle east and Europe today.

				Mi Casa Su Casa

Omar is an artist, songwriter and actor, who reached idol status among younger viewers and become a worldwide name, as one of the main characters in the Netflix hit series Young Royals.

Despite previously competing with his band members as part of FO&O, this marks his debut as a solo peformer in the contest.

PARi is a Swedish afro/french pop duo made up of Tacfarinas & All One.

They are currently signed with Warner Music Sweden with whom they’ve released their latest singles and the music videos to go with. Tacfarinas has previously competed in Fantasifestivalen under his moniker Le Tac.

				Say That

Paula Jivén from Gothenberg fell in love with music fast. When she was thirteen, she competed on the talent show Sweden's Got Talent and won the prestigious Golden Buzzer, and parlayed that success into working with top collaborators both at home and in the United States.

Paula has established an impressive presence on TikTok with over 200,000 followers and has signed a deal with Universal Music Sweden.

				Hemlighet

Swedish artist Ros (Rebecca Ejdemo) began her career making waves on Sweden's rap scene. But after some time away from that and a lengthy period of creation, she returned with new music and a whole new sound.

Her sound is described as rhythmic electropop with a sense of the warped and distorted to it, but brought right back into focus by the artist's commandeering vocal performance.
