Pragma Tick · Alexa
Kenya: When I saw Sigur Ros, I was a bit worried because they are one of the more obvious choices for this challenge, but damn this was IT. That instrumental was perfection and the vocals are a treat as well. I have nothing bad to say about this because there is nothing bad, or even meh about this. Way to go.
Olivia: A beautiful song! Not a song that needed to be this long, not a song I'd listen to in my free time, but for this challenge I really liked your choice. The violins really sold the song, they sounded so lovely. Thumbs up from me!
Addison: Oh I loooooved this. This song despite being over 6 minutes long BREEZED by and I wanted more of it in the best way. A gorgeous piece and an excellent execution of the task from my perspective. Great work!

Cher Noble · Agni
Olivia: Your entry stood out, which is a big plus point. Thanks to Miss Penny, I wrote my critiques almost a week after listening to the first four songs, but I still remembered your song very well. That being said, the song was kind of a mess mama. You say it kept your attention but honestly, the song actually kinda lost my interest after a bit? I don't know why, maybe I just prefer songs that are coherent, I can't explain my psychological motivation here. All I know is that the chaos of the song actually turned me off a bit, instead of drawing me in. It might be the instrumentation that I didn't care for. But it's definitely the most original entry of the week and overall I appreciate that you took a risk with it. And it might also be the only song of the week where I agreed with the length.
Addison: For better or for worse this song was definitely a stand out which I must commend you for! You took a risk and put your own stamp on this challenge which we do love to see. It's very messy but I was oddly transfixed on the journey the whole way through? I don't think it's a SONG I would like to HEAR again but I think it might be an EXPERIENCE I would like to EXPERIENCE again. You get it? You get it. Good job!
Kenya: This confuses me, but in a good way. I love the switch ups in the instrumental. 10 minutes with an instrumental is something hard to do to keep the attention of the judges, but if it works, it works well not like i would know about that or anything. This was riveting, and I wanted more as it went on. Way to go bitch

Addison: On paper I think this is the song that should've done the most for me sonically, and while it may not have necessarily hit THAT mark, I still enjoyed it! I felt the emotion of the song and I think it mostly picked up in just the right places to justify its length. Not your best effort but definitely a nice entry!
Kenya: It's very nice, but this d r a g g e d on for so much longer than it needed to before it picked up. If the last half of the song was the full version, I would be a stan. Sadly, it isn't. That last half is so good, it just is a shame that it took as long as it did to get there.
Olivia: The song was nice but quite forgettable. It's the top 5 now, it's time to stand out, not to serve us music that plays in the background while you're getting a bubble bath at a spa. The song wasn't bad but it rather bored me, which is exactly what should've been avoided this week.

Penny D.Lux · Josh Heart
Kenya: I loved this back in NVSC 32. Sadly, that was in mid 2020. It's aged since then. Even without it being an NVSC track, it is the weakest of the week. By far. I'm quite disapointed by this choice, really. I really want to know where the Penny from the first few weeks went.
Olivia: Now girl... this is the Top 5. Throughout the competition I've told multiple people to be original and not serve us recycled NVSC, FC and DSR entries. I don't know if you didn't read my critiques, I don't know if you forgot them, I don't know if you simply didn't care to follow them, but I do know that this entry is not what I want to see at this point in the competition. And compared to some of the other queens, you actually took part in the contest when this song participated, which makes it even worse. Anyway... even if we look past the unoriginality, the song is just... cute? I liked it 2 years ago but it aged. And it's another song that seemed to be 6:45 minutes long for the sake of being 6:45 minutes long. It could've easily been half as long. In conclusion: I'm not impressed by this. Oh at all.
Addison: I've said repeatedly in this competition that I don't necessarily mind NVSC/FC/DSR entries, or obvious entries in general, being used if it really feels like it worthwhile, but I do think that even without the contest connection this was one of the weaker songs of the week. It's nice, not bad by any stretch, but definitely not worth the big blaring NVSC tag that comes with it. We are at the top 5 now and everyone is bringing combinations of creativity and musical quality to the table, and this just feels super uninspired especially in comparison.

Gigi Welplade · Ste
Olivia: This song has actually been on my FC playlist for 2 years now, so obviously I really like this choice. Do I think that the song had to be this long? No, it could've been half as long. Was it still an amazing entry? Yes, absolutely. Another great choice from you!
Addison: I mean first and foremost I applaud your bravery for submitting a TEN minute song for this challenge, that definitely takes bravery. Unfortunately for me it didn't really pay off with this particular song, it just felt like it was lacking in the atmosphere that really makes you want to listen to a 10 minute song and as a result I was kinda ready for this to be over by like the 3 or 4 minute mark. Thankfully it picked up again close to the end but as a whole I wasn't really feeling it I'm afraid. Like the risk, not massively keen on the song. 😦
Kenya: It's a gorgeous tune, captivating, and one I stan. Sadly, in terms of the super lengthy songs, I fear miss Cher did it better than what miss Neptune did. I adore this though, and it should be noted that this is a serve.
