Not me finishing 4th from last
Thanks 10 points from Kino and panchin, and 8 points from Mihai! I hope I will deliver a better song next edition but from the selection I will put later, I'm not sure myself but I'll let you decide!
This is also the first time none of the top 3 receives points from me.
To be fair, I didn't rate this edition highly but there are still absolute gems in this edition!
Congratulations Kevin for getting a 5th win! This does not grab me a lot as Go_A had more unique-sounding song and this kinda pales in comparison. It is somewhat memorable but it lacks the spark I'm very sorry.
Huge congratulations for the 2nd place Jose! This is in my 12th place actually and not far away from getting points! I love the overall style here and there is a great message delivered in this song. The excerpt further exemplifies my point here. I think it just didn't capture me as much in full which is why it almost made the mark.
Another huge congratulations for the 3rd place Luka! This is in my 13th place and again in my commiserations. This sounds very modern and it slaps hard. I'm pleasantly surprised at this production and I hope we are served more bangers from Pakistan. Probably we will get some local indie music (as Spotify has a whole playlist dedicated to fresh finds in Pakistan)? Nonetheless, in full it also didn't grab me as much but I'm really happy that this finished really well.
First of all I kinda apologise for suggesting this artist here. I absolutely loved her vocals and the style of this song. The production is absolutely wonderful and the message is powerful. The song also varies quite a bit throughout featuring amazing motifs and melodies. It has the overall package in my opinion. Perhaps the vocals might throw people off a bit but this is art surely. I'm very frustrated at this finishing at 26th place because this song truly deserves better!
This is a catchy synth-pop song. I love the blending between the synths and the electric guitar here. The chorus melody and rhythm are strong, making it memorable. My only criticism would be the lack of a powerful final chorus especially the chorus melody sounds pretty similar to the rest. Otherwise, I think this could do even better for me.
I love this collab between Froukje and S10! The production is once again fantastic here. The instrumental break is definitely a true highlight of the song as the melody sounds quite quirky. It falls a bit flat in the end though, which is my only criticism. Nonetheless, it is great to see this finish 6th!
This is your typical pop song these days but this has a strong melody coupled with decent instrumentation. That makes the chorus stand out for me which is why it receives quite a lot of points here. It falls a bit flatter in the end then the above two which kinda prevents this from getting more points. 21st place is a bit low in my opinion but I could see why.
It is great to see the United States back in the top 10 again! I love the modern pop rock style here and MOTHICA is surely a highly capable artist. Love the offbeat strumming in the chorus which makes the song very catchy and memorable in the chorus. The overall style is wonderful too. It also falls a bit flat towards the end unfortunately. However, it sounds quite different from the rest of the finalists here and surely deserves a top 10 finish. Well done!
Is it me or he reminds me of Anthony Cushion from Nick and Ant? :giggles: Anyway, I love the sound design here as the Israeli music industry excels on. This alone makes the song very memorable. It does fall flat in full but the sound design alone deserves a lot of compliment here.
Great to see an Asian bop here! The overall package is expensive, from the video and the song. It sounds catchy too. I think this would end a bit higher since it is quite accessible.
sanah dropped an amazing album and this is a great ballad! This packs a lot of emotion and both singers have delivered their parts amazingly well, and I think the production is also great that their voices blend nicely. sanah has collaborated with a lot of different Polish artists here and the album contains upbeat bops too. I would recommend Tęsknię sobie there which is another impeccable ballad. I think plenty of the songs in the album are hits in Poland if I'm not mistaken so huge congratulations, and obviously Radek for getting 8th place!
I didn't see this coming last to be honest but this song is nice with the melody and instrumentation.
This is also quite low in my opinion but it has a nice melody and instrumentation, though not as strong as Australia since they are somewhat similar in style.
Commiserations:
This is quite a great local banger here and I love the unique choice of instrumentation. The melody is relatively strong which makes it stand out for me. This song is probably the best Uzbek entry so far since I joined and I hope there are more bangers like this in the future!
