Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix #17
Confirmations
The 17th edition of the Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix will take place in
Reykjavík, Iceland. Despite originally winning in the 16th edition, 
Scotland declined to host the contest, and instead asked Iceland to stage the contest after the country came 2nd in the previous edition.This will be the first time that the contest will be held in
Iceland, after the country came 2nd 3 times and 3rd 6 (!) times.The competition will take place at the iconic Harpa Concert Hall which can house up to 3,500 spectators at any given time.
The hosts of the event will be our beloved grandma singer
Guðný María and Special-K of Ultraflex.All Nordic and Baltic nations, as well as Scotland are invited to participate in the event!
The contest is scheduled to take place 19th September 2022, however this could change very slightly.
Greenland is also able to participate. Anyone wishing to participate for Greenland, please message me until Saturday, 10th September 2022!
Remember that only Greenlandic artists are able to participate for Greenland!
When you submit your entry, please remember, that the majority of the song has to be in another language than English!
Due to the current uncertainty surrounding the
Swedish delegation, should Sweden not submit a song on time, another player may be invited to take part for Sweden for this edition only. I will let you know more about this once the confirmation period is over.
