Svelata l'entry sammarinese! Sammarinese entry revealed! After an exciting and long national selection, the small European country has found the next representative for a new edition of the Northvision Song Contest. The Final of the "Festival dei Castelli 18" is won by Margherita Vicario, she will fly to Morocco for PQR to represent San Marino at NVSC 41 in Austria.
Margherita Vicario is a 35-year-old Italian singer and actress born in Rome, she is the daughter of Italian director Francesco Vicario. Her uncle Stefano Vicario was director of Sanremo Festival 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 with Amadeus as artistic director. She has been the protagonist in various Italian TV series and also in various films. In the music industry she boasts several collaborations with many artists and has also released about 19 singles. On June 11, the girl was announced as the next Sammarinese representative in the continent-wide European music competition Northvision Song Contest. Her song “Ave Maria” will first have to overcome the obstacle of the pre-qualification round in Morocco to reach the semifinals in Austria. Margherita Vicario was declared the winner of the national selection for the next Sammarinese representative for the contest. She won the final of FdC 18, against other 11 singers.
Since the beginning of the voting, the artist has always been at the top of the rankings, no one has been able to overcome her (with 7x12).
Inside the spoiler the meaning of the song:
With "Ave Maria", the singer and actress Margherita Vicario delves into one of the most controversial and debated topics of current events. Margherita explored the facets of contemporary feminism in an ironic and at the same time analytical key.
Ave Maria, in piena disgrazia /// Hail Mary, in full disgrace Tu portami via tra le tue braccia /// You take me away in your arms Ave Maria, le lacrime in faccia /// Hail Mary, tears in my face Non è una bugia... Ho bisogno di /// It's not a lie... I need to Prega più forte non ti sento /// You pray harder I can't hear you Ma tu ci credi o no? /// But do you believe it or not? Mettici un po' di sentimento sennò io non ci sto /// Put some feeling into it otherwise I'm not in it

MIMOZA FOR KOSOVO! Mimoza Blinsson, more commonly known as simply Mimoza, was born in the Kosovar city of Gjakovë to a Kosovar Albanian family, however her family soon fled to Sweden where she mostly grew up and then moved to Germany where she spent an additional 11 years before finally moving to Los Angeles, California, United States to pursue her music project. Due to her multicultural upbringing, Mimoza is fluent in English, Swedish and German, other than her native Albanian.
Both a singer and a songwriter, her endeavours have not gone unnoticed. Most notably, she wrote the global hit "Kings And Queens" of Albanian-American superstar Ava Max.
Despite this being Kosovo's first act, she is not a NVSC debutant, as she famously and successfully represented Albania back in the 36th edition with her song "Young Queen", in which she sang about her roots, placing 6th.
This time, she has been handed a rather complicated act: a long-anticipated debut in the Pre-Qualification Round. Will she be able to make her way to the final?
Timeslot: 2:28-2:58
GOOD LUCK!

Icelandic entry reveal!16 June 2023 • Reykjavík, Iceland RÚV, the Icelandic broadcaster, has just revealed the entry that will represent the Nordic nation in Austria. The reveal comes as a surprise as no news regarding the reveal was posted anywhere on RÚV's website. The Icelandic gays however managed to find subtle hints in previous posts on the website.
After Laufey brought Iceland into the top 10 last edition, the HoD, Snæbjörn Brjánsson hinted that the next Icelandic representative would be a woman once again. He also hinted that it would again be a "slow" song. With that being said, please meet our representative!Nanna will represent Iceland! Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir, or simply Nanna, is an Icelandic singer who was born in Garður, a small town in southwestern Iceland.
You may recognize her as the lead vocalist of the band Of Monsters and Men. Before joining the band, she had a short solo career under the name Songbird. She also wrote and performed music on open mic nights around Reykjavik.
In 2010, she recruited five other musicians who would eventually become Of Monsters and Men and won the annual music competition Músíktilraunir. The band went on to become successful worldwide, with their most notable songs being Little Talks, Mountain Sound and King and Lionheart, which have several million views on YouTube. The band also represented Iceland three times before in the contest; in the 3rd edition with King and Lionheart, the 15th edition with Crystals, and most recently in the 30th edition with Wild Roses. They placed 8th, 12th in the semi and 3rd respectively.
In 2023, Nanna launched her solo career once again with the release of the song Godzilla in January 2023. In May, she released her solo album entitled How to Start a Garden.
Nanna becomes the first returnee for Iceland since Ultraflex in the 38th edition. When asked about her return, she stated that:
Obviously it is something new for me even though I have taken part in the contest 3 times before as part of my band. However I am extremely happy and excited to be back, this time on my own and able to share my solo music with the world. I will do my best for Iceland and I am looking forward to taking the stage in Austria.
Take a listen to her entry:"Godzilla"performed by Nanna produced by: Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir lyrics: Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir Timeslot: 3:26+ (likely to change)
The Icelandic delegation encourages you to listen to the song in full below on Spotify. We thank the Israeli delegation for bringing this song to our attention. We wish the best of luck to Nanna in Austria!

Second chance for Kiki as she's selected as the Finnish entrant!
Kiki has won Pohjoisviisut 41 and will represent Finland at the forthcoming North Vision Song Contest with the song “Sido Mut” (lit. Tie me up). She won both Super Final and Grand Final, getting 118 points in the Grand Final and 44% in the Super Final. Goldielocks placed second and ellaella got the third place.
Kiki is no stranger to Northvision as she represented Finland at the 38th edition in Leeds, placing second two points behind the winner Andorra and thus making the joint best result ever for Finland in the contest. The entry, "666" became a hit in Finland after the contest ended, with the music video having a million of views.*
Kiki will be the seventh Finnish artist to return to the contest, following the footsteps of Haloo Helsinki!, Jenni Vartiainen, Krista Siegfrieds, Laura Närhi, Softengine, Vesala** and Lxandra.
We wish good luck to Kiki in Austria!
You can see the full results of Pohjoisviisut 40 below
* I am not kidding lmao what a coincidence. During/After the contest 666 started to gain views, streams and radio plays during May/Summer. After it was selected as the Finnish entry, 666 had about 70k-150k views on YouTube. ** Vesala has taken part as a solo artist (#18) and as part of the band PMMP (#16). timeslot: 2:01-

Ermina will represent Bosnia & Herzegovina!
Above: Pictures of Ermina during shooting the video of her NVSC entry
Official announcement from BHRT BHRT officially announced that the next artist to represent Bosnia & Herzegovina in North Vision Song Contest #41, Ermina Hajdarević, known as just Ermina, has been internally selected to represent the Balkan nation in the competition. After Seka Aleksić's success from the jubilee edition, many big artists from the country expressed their interest in representing Bosnia & Herzegovina, including Albino, Maya Berović, Alexandra Matrix, Lepa Brena, Anabela. Even the band Femminem reunited just to submit a song to BHRT, but also the queen MAYSIA (Maja Nurkić) keeps submitting every edition her smashing hit Appetizer! Seka Aleksić's success has also led to big collaborations of the broadcaster with some of the most prominent music labels from the region, including IDJ, Bassivity, Balkaton, 3PM, Generacija Zed, etc. In the end, the singer Ermina has been selected out of a total of 105 submissions, almost double from previous edition.
Who is Ermina? Ermina Hajdarević, born in 15 January 1996, known as just Ermina, is a Bosnian pop singer, who moved to Sweden for continuing her studies until 2021, when she graduated. She is not new to BHRT, as she tried to represent the country two times before, by participating in BH Vision with the songs Dinero (BH Vision #20, for NVSC #37; runner-up with 222 points) and Bebi ja to ne bi (BH Vision #22, for NVSC #39; 4th place with 214 points). She has been composing and producing music since 2016, but her main achievement musically has been the participation in IDJ Show, in Belgrade, where she temporarily resides. She managed to enter the top 12 contestants in IDJ Show, resulting in the recording of her first song and official video for IDJ Production, the song she submitted for BH Vision #22, Bebi ja to ne bi.
The official entry She will perform one of her latest singles, Sipali (Eng. Pour), a pop song described by the artist on her social media as "a summer adventure". With special tone and stylistics of her voice resembling Senidah's, the song has a catchy beat, with a traditional sound towards the end, all these fitting perfectly at the beginning of summer. Definitely a big upgrade from her previous songs, in terms of production, style and the construction of the song. We wish Ermina the best of luck in the upcoming edition of the contest! Učinite Bosnu i Hercegovinu ponosnom!
