This afternoon, the first act has been announced. It's Erica Cody with her song Love me like I do. According to this tweet, she'll release it on the 23rd of January. We already have an audio of it available on youtube, tho
Thoughts 2 hours later: As I like me some 80s synthpop, I'm happy with what it sounds like. However, I will have to say that it's not very original and even a bit generic. Good luck to Erica, but I guess this isn't the winning song ...

Artist and song #2:
Alisha with Go Tobann. She'll release the song on Friday, 12th January.
And I'm very sorry, but it's definitely not for me. Imo it's too much noise, and I hardly understand anything else.

The 3rd and 4th entries have been announced today: JyellowL & Toshín - Judas I'm not the biggest rap fan, but it's good to have something like that in - and if it's just for the variety. Sadly I feel like it doesn't really have a melody and is on top of it, not very memorable
Isabella Kearney Nure - Let me be the fire I normally enjoy those 80s inspired songs, but this one is just boring to me. And there's too much "nananaa nananana"
I thought at this point it'd be about time to post my top 4 so far: 1. Erica Cody 2. Isabella Kearney Nure 3. JyellowL & Toshín 4. Alisha From what I'm seeing around, people are mostly at least satisfied with how this is going so far. I'm glad for Ireland for that, but am personally rather disappointed in what we have so far: I'm not a fan of 3 / 4 songs ...

Bambie Thug - Doomsday Blue
First off, this sounds creepy lol.
Anyway, I unexpectedly like this somewhat. It has a melody, understandable vocals, and is also somewhat catchy. Guess that's the poppy element I believe to hear. Overall, it's my new 2nd.

Looks like the rumours from last week were 100 % correct lol. The last entry is the boyband's song Fall in line - Love like us It's unexpectedly good. Particularly because of its underwhelming first 30 seconds.
So now that we have all the songs this is my full top 6: 1. Erica Cody 2. Fall in line 3. Bambie Thug 4. Isabella Kearney Nure 5. JyellowL & Toshín 6. Alisha Personally I'm still not convinced with le liking only 2 /6 songs. However viewing it from a neutral side this is actually a good NS. It's got lot more variety than I could've ever expected as well. Also who would've thought Ireland give us an entry like Alisha's or Bambies lol. This NS is quite likely to be between Alisha and Bambie Thug. Basically anyone else will have no chance, let's be honest. Unless it's rigged for the boy band in any way or so. Both Bambie Thug and Alisha should have the chance of getting a top 10 - especially in the televoting.
