Let Fantasifestivalen 42 Begin!

Swedish broadcaster SVT has announced the 12 acts to compete in Fantasifestivalen 42 and opened the voting for the final.

The winner of Fantasifestivalen will represent Sweden at the North Vision Song Contest 42. Due to time constraints a total of 12 acts were chosen to compete in one grand final.

The voting has already opened for the final and will not have national juries, but 100% televoting instead. The voting form link can be found at the very end of this post, as well as here. The voting is expected to close on November 11, 23:59 CET, but may get extended depending on circumstances.

				01. Oscar Zia

Oscar Zia is a Swedish singer and songwriter known for his impressive vocal talents and captivating performances. Born on October 10, 1996, in Svedala, Sweden, he gained widespread recognition through his participation in the Swedish version of "The X Factor" in 2012. Since then, he has continued to make a name for himself in the Swedish music industry, releasing hit songs and establishing a dedicated fan base. With his unique voice and charisma, Oscar Zia remains a prominent figure in Sweden's music scene. Alba August, born on June 6, 1993, is a talented Swedish-Danish actress. She is best known for her outstanding performances in various films and TV series. Notably, she portrayed the young Astrid Lindgren in the biographical drama "Becoming Astrid." 				03. AmenA

21-year-old AmenA started singing as a child, and music was also the only thing she could take with her when she fled Yemen to Sweden in the wake of war. In Sweden, her career has quickly taken off. Her appearance as a duet guest at Håkan Hellström's sold-out Ullevi concerts last summer and her participation in Idol 2021 brought her magnificent presence and emotive voice to hundreds of thousands of people across Sweden. 				04. Violet Days

Violet Days is a Swedish music project known for its captivating blend of pop and electronic music. Fronted by singer and songwriter Lina Hansson, Violet Days has made a mark in the music industry with their emotive lyrics and catchy melodies. The project has garnered attention for its unique sound and continues to grow its fan base, both in Sweden and internationally. They are no stranger to the North Vision stage, having won the very first Nordisk Melodi Grand Prix and represented Sweden in the eighteenth edition with "Screaming Colors". Marcus & Martinus are a Norwegian pop duo who gained fame for their exceptional musical talent and captivating performances. Born on February 21, 2002, in Elverum, Norway, the twin brothers, Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen, rose to prominence after winning the Norwegian version of "Melodi Grand Prix Junior" in 2012. Since then, they have released numerous hit songs and albums, becoming beloved figures in the Scandinavian music scene and beyond. Their music and energetic stage presence continue to resonate with fans worldwide. Having attempted to represent their home country Norway in the past, they are now all set for their Fantasifestivalen debut. Miranda Öhman and Magda Skyllbäck are HONEY. Born and raised on the Swedish countryside, this female power-duo started their musical journeys singing in traditional Swedish choirs. The two singer/songwriters met whilst studying in London where they instantly bonded and decided to create music that sounds fresh as well as familiar. On their first EP, HONEY are fusing modern and classic 70s pop sounds and revealing their flawless vocal blend captured around a single mic. MOR is a Swedish band that emerged in the early 2020s, known for their captivating blend of indie pop and electronic influences. Their music resonates with a broad audience and continues to leave a mark in the world of contemporary Swedish music. As of recently former North Vision participant GRANT has joined the group, who represented Sweden in the thirty-fifth edition. 				12. Rasmus Gozzi & Fröken Snusk feat. Danjal

Rasmus Gozzi is a Swedish singer, music producer and DJ. He has made music since he was 14 but in 2016 he started producing music wholeheartedly and managed to produce a track for Sean Kingston. The track was "Love You Tonight", where also the Swedish artist Lazee featured. He has also released many songs and albums together with Louise Andersson Bodin and Fröken Snusk. Fröken Snusk (roughly translated to Miss Naughty) is a Swedish singer with an unknown identity. Her music is a subgenre of pop music in Sweden which is highly popular with swedish car culture and the EPA culture, called "EPA dunk". Her songs are about sex, parties, cars, the EPA culture, and "raggare". The genre can be seen as part of a larger lifestyle and culture, where young people who drive epatraktors want to show off their vehicles with accompanying sound systems. Danjal Kanani, born August 24, 1990 in Gothenburg, is a Swedish influencer and entrepreneur. He is a co-owner and finance manager in Jocke & Jonna AB and has an Instagram profile with 152,000 followers. He is also involved in a number of other companies, including Bow Bow, Weblagret and Rökarn.
