WORLD CUP OF MUSIC
Welcome to the World Cup of Music. Where countries battle it out to qualify to a final round to win the title of World Champion of Music. Inspired by World Cups in the sporting world as well as contests like Music Cup, this is not a one of a kind contest but definitely a different approach to a contest. 245 countries, divided into 6 continental confederations (Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America) are fighting to show that their music is the best music. And they're doing it with your help! So please join us on this musical tour of the world in search of the new World Champion.
But first...some rules
RULES
General Rules
1. Entries from (Junior) Eurovision (Asia) (American) Song Contest are not allowed to compete.
2. Covers are not allowed to compete.
3. Songs that exceed 150 million views on their music video are not allowed to compete.
4. The song must have been released in 2010 or later.
5. A song can not represent more than one country or territory during one edition.
6. Borrowing is allowed in certain cases, see below.
Eligible Countries and Territories
1. 245 countries and territories are eligible to compete.
1.1. The 193 UN members plus the 2 observer states of the Holy See (as Vatican City) and Palestine.
1.2. The British Crown Dependencies and Overseas Territories excluding the British Antarctic Territory, British Indian Ocean Territory, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, and Akrotiri and Dhekelia.
1.2.1 The nations of the United Kingdom will participate separately as England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
1.2.2 Instead of the British Indian Ocean Territory, the Chagos Islands will participate.
1.3. The territories of Overseas France excluding Clipperton Island, and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands.
1.4. The disputed territories of Kosovo and the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (Western Sahara).
1.5. The US-american territories of American Samoa, Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and United States Virgin Islands.
1.6. The Australian dependencies Christmas Island, Cocos (Keeling) Islands, and Norfolk Island and the territories in free association with New Zealand, Cook Islands, Niue and the dependent territory of New Zealand, Tokelau.
2. The countries and territories are split between the confederations for Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, Oceania and South America and will only compete within one confederation. The membership to an association is according to the FIFA confederations.
2.1. They are further subdivided according to the United Nations geoschemes.
Entries and Voting
1. Participants will not represent a country, instead they will submit up to 2(South America), 4 (Europe, North America, Oceania) or 5 (Africa, Asia) entries through a form.
2. Participants can send as many entries as they wish within the general limit but no more than one entry per country and no more than 2 per sub-region.
3. Timeslots are 25 seconds and are required to provide through the form. If no timeslot is provided the timeslot will be set as 0:00 to 0:25.
4. Voting will be done through a voting form. Participants can vote for their own entries.
5. A singer is eligible for a country or territory if either they or their parents were born in the country or territory. For group acts, at least 33% of members must fulfill this criteria. For a borrowing entry, this applies to the country that is being borrowed from.
5. Borrowing. As mentioned above, some countries and territories are allowed to borrow:
Africa
Chagos Islands from Mauritius.
Saint Helena from the British ITL region of South West England.
Europe
Gibraltar from the British ITL region of South West England.
Jersey and Guernsey from the British ITL region of South East England.
Isle of Man from the British ITL region of North West England.
Liechtenstein from the Swiss NUTS-2 region of Eastern Switzerland.
Monaco from the French region of Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
San Marino from the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna.
Vatican City from the Italian region of Lazio.
Oceania
Christmas Island and Cocos (Keeling) Islands from the Australian region of Northern Territory.
Norfolk Island from the Australian region Queensland.
Pitcairn Islands from the British ITL region of South West England.
Tokelau from the North Island regions of New Zealand, excluding Auckland.
6. A borrowing entry is not allowed to participate if it has participated in a contest on the front page of the forum in the last 6 months from the start date of Entry Submission.

Now that we have the rules part out of the way, it's time to get to the interesting bit. Which continent will we start with? Well, there was a meeting (a poll on Discord) and it was decided that Asia will be the continent with which we start. Below you can see which countries and territories are part of which sub-division. Below that will be a link to the Entry Submissions form, which you can fill out (you don't have to send a separate form for each entry, except when you want to send more than one entry for a sub-division).
