okayyyy haven't done one in such a long time x so let's begin my yapping session:

Ohhh this is such a great winner! I love the ethnic elements in this song. The melody stands out as well. Congratulations on the win Mihail!

One of the better Ana Lua Caiano songs for me! She has a distinct style with incorporating traditional elements with modern electronic music. This is really catchy and it explores a different side of traditional Portuguese music. Well done Aless!

Unfortunately this is not my cup of tea but this lowkey slaps in the recap. Getting 3rd with Georgia is really impressive and hope to see you deliver more bangers in the future Tristan!

Yseult is absolutely amazing with ballads, and this is how I discovered her in the first place. This song is a masterpiece with the instrumentation and her vocals. The climax at the end melts so well it gave me goosebumps. Love to see both Levi and I agree on the same 12! Very robbed of an AQ spot imo x

This might be annoying but the chorus is stuck in my head ddd The breakdown after the sung chorus is catchy too. It is very well-produced and glad it came 9th!

CHINCHILLA has been on my radar for quite some time with her quirky musical style and relatable lyrics. This is probably the less jarring of her releases but the music still bangs. 11th place is not bad at all!

This is definitely one of the better Balkan songs for me. I love the buildup and the chorus which links with one another quite smoothly. It also has great contrast which makes it quite musically interesting. Great to see this come 8th though did expect this a bit higher.

Production-wise this is very slick. The chorus melody is great too! It might not be the most unique in my votes, but it did its job well. Nice to see this AQ! Well done Jan x

I really dig the production of Ukrainian music and this is no different. I love the white voice and the instrumentation slaps too. Shame it does sound quite lowkey in the recap

Great discovery this edition! This has caught my attention a lot in the sneak peek so I was fully expecting a banger in full. It wasn't as good but it is very unique and the chorus slaps a lot. Absolutely overjoyed to see Belarus on an AQ streak, after getting theirs for the first time in NVSC. Congratulations Michal!

I love Noel Kharman! She is such a great vocalist and her ballads are heartfelt. This is amazing, especially with the chorus in the background in the recap. It is not as melodically solid as some of her other ballads but it is still an earworm and I'm glad Palestine does reasonably well on their debut!

Commiserations:
This is really catchy and the recap slot showcases that extremely well. In full, it is not as varying but this defintiely deserves an AQ spot. Also echoing others about the costumes in this video which are definitely epic af x

This stands out in the recap but it does take time to grow. Shame it came 4th from last

Definitely not the most instant song this edition but I dig Eartheater's rather abstract approach to "pop" music (as opposed to "art" music like classical music etc.). Great to see this come mid-table and love from many here x

On a final note, thank you so much for the 18th place with 200 points! Thank you Serbia for the 20 combined points and Türkiye for the 18 combined points. Thanks a lot for the 12s in the jury vote and televoting! Excited for next edition, watch this space!

Beyond thrilled coming 8th! Thank you so much everyone for such a great result on my debut with Croatia! I knew that the song is going to underperform in comparison to odds, so 8th place is perfect. I really want to thank everyone giving points to Croatia, but especially for their 24s!

As I was talking with Mihail for some time, I really wished Romania would win this edition and I'm beyond thrilled to see you snatching the trophy! You deserved it for serving for so many editions and I think this song is truly one of the best you have sent to any contest. Congratulations!
Another great song at the top, congratulations! Saw this as one of the possible winners as well, glad it did well! 
For Georgia, however, I really thought that it will get lost in the strong field of this final but I am really happy to see I was wrong and you reached such a good score! Well done x

My Balkan babies getting left side Internal affairs in the Bosnian delegation taken away, I am so happy for Bosnia and Herzegovina doing well! And more importantly, Serbia not getting entirely snubbed also makes me happy. Just as Teodora released the album, I immediately knew that this would be one of my favorite songs this year and even though the songs from the region have recently gained some criticism, I am really happy to see the music that I listen being appreciated!

while I was totally not a fan of this and I think I told you about this, I am very happy that you were able to demonstrate the diversity of the music in the region/diaspora and get a decent result for Montenegro. Looking forward to the next Crnavizija, keep it up! x

Such a bop from minute one. Congratulations on your win Mihail! It's always exciting to see new countries win.
Saw this as one of the possible winner contenders and it got the result it deserved. Congrats on the second place!
I was really convinced this would be forgotten in the final but cleary I was very wrong about that also congrats on top 3 finish.
Honestly the rest of the top 6 is also great
Wish it could sneak into the top 6 somehow but 8th is decent as well
Really underrated
I am shocked how poorly this has done

Thank you all so much for your votes – I was planning to withdraw after #42 because I didn't think I was doing a good enough job as a HoD, so to have now qualified three times in a row really is amazing. I'm not going to suddenly call for the abolition of the ROTW vote even though it cost me an AQ, because I genuinely enjoyed every song that placed above me and frankly I didn't expect to come 7th (!!) at all – my best result and Lebanon's highest placing since NVSC #14!! Hugely grateful to everyone who enjoyed and voted for 'Oyoun Al Soud' (especially Palestine for 24 and Georgia for 22) – Tina Yamout qualifying against the odds twice is pretty iconic and I'm so pleased to succeed with a native act too 

All this being said, as much as it's a privilege to represent Lebanon here in NVSC, what's far more important right now is that we don't look away from what's happening in Lebanon in the real world. Please continue to educate yourselves and support both Lebanon and Palestine 🍉

(14) Congrats Mihail on your second victory!! Unbelievably catchy and definitely my favourite song of the edition – the mix of folk/pop/electronic is right up my street and I hope it's a sign Romania is back on the right track in NVSC 
(1) Not surprised to see this do so well! Would've given it more points if I could, can't wait to see what you send next Aless as you've been serving so much quality recently
(9) Thrilled for you Tristan!! A great find and a lovely song to listen to, was never going to do as well in the televote but a very deserved jury winner and congrats on a podium finish!!
(10) Delighted to see this AQ, easily one of the strongest and catchiest pop songs we've had in NVSC in a while and I'm glad that was rewarded!! 'Fuck all your 9 to 5, I need a 25–8' might be my favourite lyric of the whole contest actually... obsessed I fear
(10) So pleased we're getting songs in Swedish more regularly now – not much else to say other than that high quality entries deserve to be rewarded. Congrats Jan on yet another great result!!
(10) Such a brilliantly bonkers entry and it makes me so happy to see countries that have struggled in the past have a resurgence – I really thought this could contend for the victory so I'm glad the televote gave it what it deserved
(2) Normally I really dislike songs like this but I can't deny this was a bop... I'm sure there'll be plenty more where it came from in the editions to come!!
(7) Yseult's vocals are spectacular as always and the way it builds... just stunning – a very deserved top 10 and I'm excited to see what France sends next 
(11) I'm a sucker for songs like this, full of attitude and totally unapologetic – should've placed a little better in my opinion but in any case it was a great closer for the final
(4) Such an impactful entry and I wanted to give it more points – definitely your best entry in many editions and I'm loving the Hungarian resurgence in NVSC we're seeing right now!!!
(5) Love how cinematic this is, a great find – kudos Basil for all the quality you're managing to extract from Montenegro's music industry and this is yet another example
(6) I'm so here for having proper out-and-out folk music like this in NVSC – such a great entry and I'm really glad it managed to hold its own in the voting
(3) Really surprised this qualified but I enjoyed it a lot more than I would like to admit – not the most inventive song but it did what it did very well
(7) Deserved better!! I can kinda understand the placement but I really thought it would be mid table... still a great host entry in my books, enhorabona 
(12) Just a gorgeous song that oozes quality – knew it wouldn't get what it deserved here but I'm glad my 12 helped it above the 100 points barrier
(6) So much more interesting in full than in the recap – deserved far better than what it got but I know you'll come back fighting next edition!!

Thank you all! Its been a long run with NQ'ing and now i finally qualified again! It was very close tho. I really loved the song I send and I actually didn't thought I would make it to the final, even tho the odds said I would. Massive thank you to all. Thank you for the 24 points and thank you the rest of the world voting for the 12 as well and thanks to the televote for the 12s as well.

This edition was really strong and I liked so many songs, some had to grow on me and some I liked at first listen. But unfortunately i couldn't give everyone points. It was very hard to vote!

Congratulations Mihai on your win! Really enjoyed the song. A really nice winner!
This one unfortunately it missed out on getting points from me but a well deserved top 6 placing!

The song also had to grow on me but is also a banger.

Overall an amazing top 6!

Ireland and Ukraine were massively robbed. Ireland was a lovely song and I wish I could give it more points but my top 10 was already so stacked.
