This is not actually related to ISC news, this a more of a statement. For the past few editions, a few people have been messaging me "accusing" me of reserving places for other people in ISC. Matter of fact, that's not the case. I accept all valid entries in order of when they are submitted to me. Example; whoever sends me a valid entry for the United States first will have their entry accepted. All others who have also submitted a song for the same country will either be messaged informing them that their entry cannot be accepted, OR other countries will be suggested so that they can still send me their desired entry but for a different country. However that does not mean that particular country has been reserved for them, it's only a suggestion and I do not accept their entries until they've confirmed either a different country or a different entry.I try to be as fair as I possibly can and I update the website/forums as much as possible. Recently I’ve also been posting bulletins on the ISC YouTube channel suggesting that anyone who’d like to participate should send 2 entries just to be sure that one of them will most likely be accepted. The rules are also provided both on the ISC website and the ISC wikia page, however I’m still receiving complaints that I’m not accepting entries for whatever reason. I’m not sure what else I can do to prove that I’m not reserving places. Would you like me to actually take screenshots when I receive entries? Do you want me to record it and make a video? I don’t know what else I can do. I don’t mean to sound like a huge “drama queen”, I really don’t. It’s just that it becomes quite frustrating after a while and I’m just trying to clear things up. The draw for the special edition has been made!  A totally random draw was made last night which decided which participant would receive which country in the 20th edition of ISC. Soon, a video will be made to announce who received which country. Once everyone has received a country, you will not be allowed to change/swap countries with anyone else. It's all about the luck of the draw!Remember: If you would like to withdraw from either the special edition or the waiting list then please let me know ASAP! |
