It's indeed a nice way, instead of a computerized website (random.org)

One Year AnniversaryI can't believe it, but it's been a whole year since Imagine Song Contest was created! Thank you so much for all of your support over the past year, it really means a lot! Without you guys, Imagine Song Contest probably wouldn't have lasted this long! 18 editions; 18 winners; 127 countries; 869 songs; all of this is down to you!
The first ever winner of Imagine Song Contest was won by Sweden with the song "Levels" by Avicii (127 points). There were 22 participants and no semi finals, but there were no disqualifications.
Recap
Since then, there have been a number of changes such as semi finals (2-3), wildcard battles, national selections, jury, awards and many more!
We've had 4 winners who have reached the 200 point mark. They are; "Sober" (#8), "Troublemaker" (#11), "Begging" (#15) & "Heart Attack" (#16). We've also had the Best of ISC with the winner being "Stardust". The song originally received 161 points in the ninth edition of ISC, however the song managed to reach a total of 334 points in the BoISC!
Best of ISC #1: Recap
The user score has also been a key part of ISC! The user score was introduced to encourage users to vote, and it worked! Over 160 participants have been listed in the user score, 26 of whom have a user score of over 100! Thanks to everyone who has voted, submitted an entry, created and NS, etc
And finally, a big thank you to all current (and past) participants and to the people who have been so supportive! You know who you are You're all amazing!
Let's hope ISC will be around for another year (or two) to come!
Sorry for sounding cheesy, but it really does mean a lot

Three ChancesStarting from the 21st edition of ISC, a new rule will be introduced regarding disqualifications. This rule is being introduced due to the number of disqualifications rising over the past couple of editions. So far, seven disqualifications have been made in the 20th edition of ISC. Something needs to be done as it's not fair on the other participants who wanted a place in this (and previous) edition(s).
Participants
This is what's going to happen starting from the 21st edition;
One disqualification = Miss the next edition. Two disqualifications = Miss the next 2 editions. Three disqualifications = Banned until further notice.
If you inform me in advance (with a valid reason) that you will not be able to vote, then a disqualification will not be given.
Jury members
If a jury member fails to vote (without a valid reason), a warning will be given. If a jury member receives three warnings then they will be no longer be a member of the jury and will be replaced.
If you have any questions then feel free to ask

ISC #22After a months delay, it can now be revealed that the 22nd edition of ISC will begin on Sunday 24th November. I'd like to thank (most of) you for your patience.
As most of you know, the rules regarding national selections have now been changed after a poll was created. The changes can be found here and the rules can be found here. Also I'd like to add; I understand both sides of the debate about the changes to national selections, but it's difficult to try and create rules which are ideal for everyone.
To the people worried about the NS changes: The decision was decided via a poll and the changes received a majority vote with over 50%. I will be trying to control the selections as best as I can so that it's fair. Give the changes a try for a few editions, see what happens. To the people benefiting from the NS changes: Please try not to take advantage of the changes. I understand it takes time to create a selection, but try to be versatile when selecting which country you're going to create a selection for.
Jury members; applications
Once the 22nd edition begins, I will be creating a thread regarding the jury members. As 5/6 members of the jury will be coming up to their last edition as a jury member, ISC will be looking for some new jury members. The current jury members will be unable to apply this time as it'd be nice to see some new jury members with different musical preferences, however they will be able to reapply in the future.

Winning users
Due to the recent changes regarding national selections, winning users will now have the choice of choosing one of the following two options: 1) The winning user will be able to reserve a place in either the next edition (some countries will be taken due to national selections being created in advance), or they'll be able to reserve a country in the edition after that. Example: If a user wins the 22nd edition, that user will be able to reserve a country for the 24th edition or the 25th edition. 2) The winning user will be able to submit a second entry to the upcoming edition.
A message will be sent to the winning user after each edition has ended asking which option they would prefer.

The ISC board has been moved to the inactive section of the forum for the time being. This is due to the fact that I'm unsure as to when the next edition will begin. This doesn't mean ISC is closed and it will probably be back sometime within the next few months.
