This is a thread about the SaS-news related to WashingtonTV broadcaster/Radio station: KZZU-FM (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Spokane)
Musical format: College RadioArtist: HeartThe TV-Radio Broadcaster, KZZU-FM, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Making it the thirty-third official SaS #2-representant!
The submission has been brought out by our supporters for this contest! That became the state's choice to that due to a non-qualification from last edition when the flutist Justin Bahrami feat. Paul Anthony Romero and Rob King and their song "Order" came close for the qualification, but ended just in an 8th place with 63 points. We've confirmed that a popular classic rock band will be entering for this state. They've been eyeing out for the contest, and they saw how even beautiful instrumental songs can even fail after such hard voting onto a huge variety of genres fighting for the victory. But they've now signed themselves up for the participation, and are looking forward on how this will go.
It's true that this band we're talking about is none other than Heart. Rooted with genres of acoustic folk and hard rock, they're still an active band to date. They've sold 30 million records worldwide with 22 million albums sold just in the US. With Top 10 albums on the Billboard Album Chart in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2010s, Heart is among the most commercially enduring hard rock bands in history. They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013! On the contrary of what the state has failed for qualifying, this next entrant will do anything they can give to prevent this and to give out the medicine the other competitors shall feel.
The band themselves will internally bring their final entry through a post here. A song which has been suggested and/or a song the band has their guts to do great with! Special thanks to @mightyhawks for suggesting this artist! Read more down below and click on the specific link if you want. ★ Biography ★ Discography ★ Photos ★Song: "Alone"The power-ballad was composed by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly.
The song first appeared on via Steinberg and Kelly's pet project, 1983's I-Ten, Taking a Cold Look. It was later recorded by John Stamos in his role as Gino Minelli, on the original soundtrack of the CBS sitcom Dreams in 1984.
However, its popularity was done proudly in the hard-rock basics by Heart themselves, which made the song their biggest hit single to date with a #1-placing in Billboard's Hot 100 for three weeks.
Coming from their album 'Bad Animals' from 1987, "Alone" was the lead single from there, and it's the track no. 2.
It has also been covered numerous times, with the addition of Céline Dion in year 2007.★ Lyrics ★I hear the ticking of the clock I'm lying here the room's pitch dark I wonder where you are tonight No answer on the telephone And the night goes by so very slow Oh I hope that it won't end though Alone Till now I always got by on my own I never really cared until I met you And now it chills me to the bone How do I get you alone How do I get you alone You don't know how long I have wanted To touch your lips and hold you tight, oh You don't know how long I have waited And I was gonna tell you tonight But the secret is still my own And my love for you is still unknown Alone Oooh oh-oooh Till now I always got by on my own I never really cared until I met you And now it chills me to the bone How do I get you alone How do I get you alone How do I get you alone How do I get you alone Alone, alone
