This is a thread about the SaS-news related to Utah
TV broadcaster/Radio station: KHTB (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Provo)
Musical format: Alternative Rock
Artist: Meg and Dia
The TV-Radio Broadcaster, KHTB, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Making it the twentyfirst official SaS #2-representant!
The submission has been brought out by the internal tastes from the TV-Radio Broadcaster's HoD and the SaS-creator!
From just yesterday, when we announced a family group for Kentucky, we'll be heading the similar type of artist for this state. Both these two sisters have formed the group, and what now has formed into a five-piece act to begin with as a full band. With one of the sisters being the runner-upper of the inaugural season of The Voice, she also made herself a solo career and has recorded a studio album which has peaked 1st place in the US Top Heatseakers!
It is none other than Meg and Dia Frampton we're referring to, AKA Meg & Dia!
They've accepted this call from us to participate for their homestate, Utah. They've been planned touring while participating, and they've told this can be possible!
They'll plan their tour little by little after what dates they'll promote their newest song (not necessarily their participating song for this contest), and then they'll see what hit 'em!
Meg & Dia will try to pick their best entry and to finally give Utah a chance for a Final qualification or to even win the whole grand prix, after what Jewel didn't do last time, when she suffered just a place at the ★ Second Chance-battle ★ with her song "Hands", but didn't qualified.

Song: "Fighting For Nothing"
Written and produced by Dia Frampton herself.
This song comes from the album 'Here, Here and Here', which name is references a Mozart quote and narrative in which the composer points to his heart, mind and ears (here, here and here) in order to explain how he wrote his music.
The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and number 103 on the Top 200.
It's coming from 'Here, Here and Here' as track no. 11.
★ Lyrics ★
When I was younger, I wish
That I would have known better
Better love makes a fat romance
Lasts for more than a shoe shine
I'm bolder, took all the words of my mother
Saying it could be worse
Could be born with that disease
Instead of catching it first
So let's go back to the first time
That I met you in your Chevy
With your hands stretched and me
Crying, screaming, mercy, mercy
But I know that I was put here
To fight vikings in the cold war
With my arms out in the front
Singing, tear me, tear me
But these things take time, love
These things take backbone
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
'Cause they say it gets better, better
But you better know how to point out the liars
You've got to win your wars, make sure
You're not fighting for nothing, nothing
Are you fighting for nothing, nothing?
It feels like this world has been
Growing slowly upside down
Maybe I should move to China
Straighten this mess out
Maybe I'll be a poet
Watch all the sky for falling words
Write about my grandma's curtains
Or the lady who put
The Chinese buffet in her purse
I've got my mouth, it's a weapon
It's bombshell, it's a cannon
I've got my words
I won't give them mercy, mercy
But these things take time, love
These things take backbone
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
'Cause they say it gets better, better
But you better know how to point out the liars
You've got to win your wars, make sure
You're not fighting for nothing, nothing
Are you fighting for nothing, nothing?
I've got blind words, I hope they hurt you
I hope they scar you, I hope they heal you
I hope they cut you open, make you seal the warn
For all the wrong reasons, make you see
That some things were worth bruising for
Make you see that your name is your honor code
Make you see that your hands you're accounted for
They can choose where your sweat and your blood will go
Make you see your life's not to be lived alone
Run the strip through your hair
You're worth nothing, nothing
These things take time, love
These things take backbone
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
'Cause they say it gets better, better
You better know how to point out the liars
You've got to win your wars, make sure
You're not fighting for nothing, nothing
But these things take time, love
These things take backbone
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
'Cause they say it gets better, better
But you better know how to point out the liars
You've got to win your wars, make sure
You're not fighting for nothing, nothing
Are you fighting for nothing, nothing?
