This is a thread about the SaS-news related to ArizonaTV broadcaster/Radio station: KZGL (TV/Radio broadcaster located in Flagstaff)
Musical format: RockArtist: Jimmy Eat WorldThe TV-Radio Broadcaster, KZGL, has now officially confirmed their announcement of their second artist. Making it the thirteenth official SaS #2-representant!
This was a suggested by our supporters, and we were very happy for that one! A band which music was memorable and worth listening since the old 90-00's! A band which music makes out an array of genres consisting of emo, alternative rock, pop punk and indie rock! Yep, we're hanging around this submission of Jimmy Eat World! Last edition, we were close to be one in the Top 5 in the Heat, but Lauren Hildebrandt and her song "My Life Again" just only hit a decent but not well-done enough of a 7th place with 70 points.
For this time, we'll try and give out the best shot, meaning we'll give out the best song from our next artist, which certainly could turn on the joint happiness for our state! It should be dealt with the band themselves if they'll accept the suggestor's full suggestion of both artist and song for the Arizonan entry for this edition! Special thanks to Shovkovskyi/Peter for suggesting this artist! Read more down below and click on the specific link if you want. ★ Biography ★ Discography ★ Photos ★Song: "The Middle"Their previous signed recording label, Capitol Records, decided to drop the band in 1999 due to a change in priorities. Lead singer and guitarist Jim Adkins explained to the Dallas Observer:
We were just about invisible there and it wasn't going to get any better.
"The Middle" reflects these trying times for the band with lyrics about "Don't write yourself off yet" when feeling "left out or looked down on." The band decided to finance the recording of the album and decided to keep things simple on the new record rather than experiment, as they had done on previous records.
On our new stuff, rather than challenging ourselves [by] getting real experimental, we kind of went in the other direction, challenging ourselves by getting very simple. Apart from their participating entry, the album 'Bleed American', with the track included, had critical reception of being one of the Best Albums of 2001 by Q Magazine. However, out of concern that the album's title may be misinterpreted, the album was re-released as the eponymous (Jimmy Eat World) following the September 11 attacks.
Aside from the misinterpretation and that, we're heading onto the participating entry, which was the breakthrough hit for the band and the most commercially successful single released from Bleed American. Hitting into the Top 5 in Billboard's Hot 100 back in 2002 from its November-release in 2001.★ Lyrics ★Hey, don't write yourself off yet It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just try your best, try everything you can. And don't you worry what they tell themselves when you're away. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, you know they're all the same. You know you're doing better on your own, so don't buy in. Live right now. Yeah, just be yourself. It doesn't matter if it's good enough for someone else. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). Hey, don't write yourself off yet. It's only in your head you feel left out or looked down on. Just do your best, try everything you can. And don't you worry what the bitter hearts are gonna say. It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright). It just takes some time, little girl you're in the middle of the ride. Everything (everything) will be just fine, everything (everything) will be alright (alright).
