I suppose it's very difficult to compare Adele to other artists: She's incredibly famous and successful, and most people know her songs very well, and that's usually an advantage in contests that other "normal", maybe more national artists whose songs aren't well known don't have... I know it's difficult to compare, but shouldn't we vote for the song, not for the artist in contest like this? I mean, "Skyfall" got at least half of it's points only thank's to Adele... if any other not so well known artist would've sung that song, it wouldn't be so successful... |

Adele's song is just better, in my opinion, that's it. Ok, everyone has their own taste and I'm not saying that Viktoria's song is better, but imagine someone else singing the same "Skyfall" song. Wouldn't that change something? |

I just wanted to say I have another way of ranking countries. I based this off the "Country Rankings" page on the Eurovision tribute site "Nul points" For each country, every placing received is divided by the number of entrants that year to give a fraction. The total score is then divided by the number of times they conpeted. Finishing 6/12 counts for the same as finishing 12/24 and countries who have only competed rarely can be compared with evergreens. In the era of the semi-finals, the countries that didn't qualify are score based on their ranking and the number of countries in the semi final. (e.g. if you come 11th in a semi final of 19, you score 11/19) Second chance isn't taken into consideration. If you made it to second chance but not the final, your ranking is based on your position in the semi-final. If someone is disqualified, then it's acted like they never sent an entry in the first place.
