Kazakh news - February 4, 2014
Submissions for HK #2 open in Kazakhstan!
Today it was revealed that on Sunday, the submissions for Heart Kazakhstan #2 opened, and will stay open until March 1. NTK-TV awaits more than 750 songs to be submitted, of which 20 best will be selected into the Semi-Finals of the selection.

Former HK winner, KeshYOU also submitted a song (it shall remain unnamed for now), however, Heart Kazakhstan rules state that the previous winner cannot compete again. This caused KeshYOU to submit their entry to the

Armenian TV broadcaster, ARMTV. This caused a massive outcry in the Kazakh public, and today, on February 4th, the rule was lifted. However, ARMTV states that once an entry has been submitted to them, it cannot be withdrawn, due to this, KeshYOU will not be participating in HK #2.

RUSSIAN AND FOREIGN ACT IN HK #2

The pre-final for HK #2 has already started, but NTK-TV had yet to announce the Foreign act and Russian act for Heart Kazakhstan this edition. Here they are:

NEW NATIONAL SELECTION FORMAT

Astana, Kazakhstan - Today it was confirmed that Kazakhstan will indeed be hosting a national selection for #11. The old format, Heart Kazakhstan was however discontinued and a new format has been introduced. This format is called SuperStar Kazakhstan.

How does it work?
There are 10 participating songs and 3 rounds in total:
* The jury round: 6 jury members will be rating all 10 songs from 1 point through 10 points (excluding 9 points).
* The televote round: Televoters from all around Europe will be able to spend 100 points on all the songs, no songs can receive 0 and none can receive 100.
* The superfinal: The juries favourite and the televoters favourite will face each other in this superfinal. In case the favourites are the same, the 2nd jury favourite will be chosen, while televoters get to keep their favourite.

Äwenfestïvali changes its format!

Astana, Kazakhstan. 17th January 2020.

Today it was announced by the HoD

Ivo Maskunyanov:
"We want to improve Kazakhstan's results in NVSC. We think the best way to archive this is renewing our NF Äwenfestïvali."

The changes

Introduction of two semifinals: Two semifinals of 10 acts each will complete the first phase of Äwenfestïvali.

The Final: 4 acts from each semifinal, the ROTW guest and a WildCard (from the semifinals NQs) will make up the finalist acts.

New voting system: The voting system will be formed by the Kazakh Jury, International Jury (Giving 12, 10, 8, 6, 4 & 2 points to their top6 songs) and the Televote.
