Whitelands vs. KeyholelandGroup B *** Wednesday 6 May 18.00 *** Rainbow Stadium, Arcenciel *** Referee: Carl Brettich Tobbz vs. DylanThe Whitelands vs. Keyholeland, famous for being sold out after only 138 seconds. There were, of course, high expectations, and the spectators felt quite at home: the players were enthusiastic, the tempo was high and both teams were equally strong. Unfortunately, the Whitelands just overstepped the mark every now and then, resulting in two yellow cards (for midfielder Knud Kelli and defender Erik Olander) in the first half hour, which made the game a little hideous. But the audience had something to cheer about in the 37th minute, in which Keyholeland midfielder Eetuk Ó Chollins delivered the perfect long-distance cross-pass to striker Felix Plox, who headed it over goalkeeper Blaize Vere Martin and into the Whitelandic goal in the same way the current USoF manager Robin van Persie used to do it in his player career. (This goal was Keyholeland's first of the tournament.) Nothing else significant happened during the first half, and the second half started off with, surprisingly enough, Keyholeland taking the initiative. Aleksandar Cullen’s long shot in the 54th minute ended up on the crossbar, Aengus Ó Líarí’s free kick he got in the 61st minute after having been tackled by a too enthusiastic Jerk Henry (who received a yellow card) was only narrowly slapped away by Martin, and in the 67th Plox lobbed the ball nicely over Martin, but onto the crossbar. During the last fifteen minutes of the game, the Whitelands engaged in a counteroffensive, which lead to nothing thanks to the alert Keyholian defence.
0 - 1

Pohunskia vs. EngeosGroup B *** Wednesday 6 May 21.00 *** Sport Arena, Ostadar *** Referee: Björn Gribskov Logan vs. 𝐌𝐈𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋Perhaps the players should’ve drunk more coffee in the hours before the match?! During the first 40 minutes, all 22 walked like they were still asleep, and the only interesting event was the yellow card for Engeos striker Francis Gutav, who performed a dive inside the penalty area in the 10th minute. But suddenly, in the 44th minute, Engeos defender Tomasz Hałka tried a long shot from a distance of no less than 45 metres. Pohunskia goalkeeper Pasina Us was standing a little too far away from his goal, and so the ball ended up in the left corner of the gate. 0-1. The second half started off a bit hideous, as Gutav was tackled by defender Dan Butterman, got angry and hit him right in the belly, which got him (Gutav) his second yellow card, meaning a red card (the first red card of the Spring World Cup!). In the 68th minute, Engeos midfielder Pavel Těstoviny made things even worse to his team by bringing down midfielder Henry Gozan, meaning a yellow card for Těstoviny, Gozan getting injured and being replaced by striker Sean Cunninball, and Michael Midando taking the free kick and only missing the gate by six centimetres. Still, it was not until the 82nd minute that Pohunskia, that had gained dominance during the preceding minutes, levelled the score, through striker Tyler Imacomen coming to face only goalkeeper Mikhal Ukras and kicking the ball right past him and into the goal. The match seemed to become a tie, but in the 90th minute, Imacomen took a corner kick, and T.J. Simons, who received it, performed a bicycle kick to have the ball end up inside the goal. The Pohunskans already started celebrating their victory, but suddenly, in the very last second of injury time, Engeos midfielder Jerzy Ziorek approached from the left flank and passed the ball to striker Rufa del Souza, who somehow managed to fumble it past Pasina Us, making the final score a tie anyway.
