"EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, you are not allowed to reserve countries/artists anymore. If you want to participate, you must confirm participation after registration opens. Some of you reserved already, and that's fine right now. Not in the future. It's gotten too confusing for me." I didn't understand this part, does it mean we have the risk to lose our country if another person claims it before we do? Like in Msc? No, no, no. It doesn't work like MSC. You still keep Turkmenistan, but you can't reserve it before confirmations open because it doesn't make sense to reserve a country that is yours already (unless you're doing an NS). I'm mainly worried about the people reserving a country they want to switch to, because that would be confusing and chaotic (mainly to me). Oh thank esma I was getting panic somebody would steal Kazakhstan from me if I'm not fast enough

So for the July edition, would we be able to send songs from May (or those we would've been able to send in the June edition)? Gonna be a weird month without NNMC

Wait, a question about the reserved rule. Since I plan on keeping Denmark for the lasting future, does that mean its mine until I announce my withdrawl?

Could we send an entry, and therefore reserving a country, before the start of confirmations, in case that we'll be inactive at the time of confirmations? (Asking because I may get such a situation already next edition)

Thoughts - Not sure I like how vague the first thing is. I don't really know what exactly this would apply to. - You scared me for a minute. I thought I wasn't going to have anymore. Yeah, if it's confusing for you, do what you must. - Whatever. It wasn't very realistic anyway. Still not crazy about borrowing from , but while they can, I'm not going to be strict on song choices - I thought you added the parents rule two editions ago. Must have been my imagination (shrugs) - Not a fan of the ESC rule, so this is basically 'one step closer' imo - Fair enough - I'm personally torn on this issue. I can see pros and cons with any option. Just so long as I'm guaranteed a place in every edition (so no WWWSC style confirmation pls)

UPDATES April 25, 2017
RULE CHANGES/ADDITIONS
- Some rules may be subjective, so have a discussion with me (in a private message preferably) so that we can make clarifications/exceptions.
- The Executive Supervisor, MaRtIn, has the final say in the decisions made for the contest. (e.g. - giving strikes, changing rules, making polls, etc.)
- As of right now, I've decided to remove Vatican City and Palestine as eligible countries. I find it unlikely that someone will participate with them anyway.
- Andorra will not be allowed to borrow from France anymore because Andorran-French relations in ESC (a real-life precedent) are not strong enough to be applicable in NNMC. With that said, Monaco will not be allowed to borrow from Italy after the 15th edition for historical reasons (yes, I did more research).
- An artist can only represent a country if... + They were born and/or lived (at least 1 year) in the country; the latter action excludes internationally recognized artists. + Their parent(s) was either born or was a citizen of the country in question; or... + They are currently working within the country.
- Borrowing countries can claim artists from the countries they are borrowing from if they are relatively unknown within the country. The easiest way is to submit a debut single or an uncharted song by an artist who has only been working for under a year. It's subjective, so we can discuss. (I simplified this because the previous version was so technical.)
- And finally, Eurovision Song Contest entries are not allowed!
I only posted what I believe are the most relevant rule changes. Due to potential complications and technical difficulties to the rules, I have made some rules more subjective. For the full set of rules click HERE.
REMINDER NowNewMusic will go on hiatus on June 2017.
The reason is because I will be travelling out of the country this June. I will not organize NNMC during that month. I know how much a lot of you like this contest, so hopefully, I will be able to start this back up for the July edition.
Edition #15 will be the last edition running before the (hopefully) one-month hiatus begins.
If you have any questions/concerns, send me a PM.
Aless, your ban has been lifted. You can participate in NNMC again!
Thank you for your time.

UPDATES August 23, 2017
RULE CHANGES/ADDITIONS
- Hong Kong SAR is now eligible to participate after talks with the Chinese head of delegation. They made a condition that I use Hong Kong SAR when its name is being displayed. However, I will probably use "Hong Kong" for my text-to-speech thingies because it's easier to listen to.
- Borrowing countries can borrow artists only with the approval of the borrowed country's player. This is to avoid any unrealistic borrowing from going unnoticed. I noticed Andorra's #17 entry was being questioned on a few occasions I don't exactly recall, but it was brought up. - However, borrowing countries can borrow without the need of approval if the artist is at least half of the borrowing country's primary ethnicity. - If the borrowed country is not taken by a player, the borrowing country is not allowed to borrow from there.
- (Un)official covers are not allowed anymore. What's the point of NowNewMusic when I allow the re-interpretation of an original piece? - If an entry is discovered by the Executive Supervisor to be a cover before the day of deadline, it is rejected. - If an entry is discovered by the Executive Supervisor to be a cover on the day of or after the deadline, it is accepted.
- You can now get a strike if you ask for replacements in both the semis and the Grand Final of one edition. You submitted an entry, so you better vote at least once.
- And a minor change: (Junior) Eurovision (Asia) Song Contest entries are not allowed.
NOTE: I only posted what I believe are the most relevant rule changes. Due to potential complications and technical difficulties to the rules, I have made some rules more subjective. For the full set of rules click HERE.
If you have any questions, I guess PM me.
