Born in Kefaluwhatever or not, that doesn't detract from the fact that he may have been from East Timor as Wikipedia has implied and backed up. For goodness sake, just stop. Don't vent your butthurt on other players. Wake up guy! Haven't you ever seen mistakes in Wikipedia? You should know that this source is not very trustable. This is why I always try to find more reliable sources available:
1) Sites whose contents are controlled by the artist himself: official website, Facebook account, Youtube official channel... 2) Reports in official medias, especially if we can assume that the content has been given by the artist himself (like interviews)... 3) Musical blogs with large audience, unofficial websites of the artist. 4) Other sources. My first source is Ethnicelebs.com, and we can find this on her page:
Ethnicity: Indonesian, Australian Aboriginal
Mauboy is an Australian singer who was runner-up in the show, Australian Idol in 2006. She was born to an Indonesian father and an Australian Aboriginal mother. She has worked with the likes of Ludacris and Flo Rida.
If Wikipedia is used, always try to find a Wikipage in several languages and to compare the informations and the sources given on each page. You can verify by yourself:
- Wikipedia in English: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Mauboy Jessica Hilda Mauboy was born on 4 August 1989 and raised in Darwin, Northern Territory.[6] Her father, Ferdy, is an Indonesian born electrician who came from East Timor,[7][8] and her mother, Therese, is an Indigenous Australian.[8][9][10][11] Mauboy's mother is from the indigenous Kuku Yalanji people in the rainforest regions of Far North Queensland.[12][13][14] Mauboy has three older sisters Sandra, Jenny and Catherine, and a younger sister Sophia.[7] From an early age, she was involved in the local church choir with her grandmother Harriett.[10][15][16] Her home was described as the "noisiest house on the block", with her mother often singing, her father playing guitar and the rest of the family displaying their passion for music.[10] Mauboy attended Wulagi Primary School and Sanderson High School in Darwin.[17][18] She dropped out of school in year 11.[7]
- Wikipedia in Italian: it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_Mauboy No informations on her origins.
- Wikipedia in Portuguese: Jessica Mauboy doesn't have a Wikipage in this language.
- Wikipedia in Greek: same, no page in this language. [7] - Wikipedia in Indonesian: id.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jessica_MauboyUnfortunately no informations on her origins. You can also notice that the English page is the only one that mentions East Timor, all the others mention West Timor or Indonesia. Instead of copying EVERY SINGLE WIKIPEDIA PAGES IN EVERY SINGLE LANGUAGES, get a life.

Sorry to break it to you but Ethnicelebs can be edited just as easily (if not easier) than Wikipedia.
(I will say tho that the "get a life" comments are completely uncalled for.)

Can. You. Just. Fucking. Stop. I Just Answer To Questions. I personally didn't ask any question. You're speaking about trustable sources but you're quoting every single wikipedia page.

I personally didn't ask any question. You're speaking about trustable sources but you're quoting every single wikipedia page. I already gave these trustable sources. The point was about showing you that the reference to East Timor comes only from the English Wikipage.

I personally didn't ask any question. You're speaking about trustable sources but you're quoting every single wikipedia page. You should instead get a life. I already gave these trustable sources. The point was about showing you that the reference to East Timor comes only from the English Wikipage. Nope. You're just throwing shade at me for being a bad host and creating even more drama.

You're just throwing shade at me for being a bad host and creating even more drama. Quote me where I wrote you were a bad host or stop your paranoia. And I repeat: I DID give more trustable sources that deny yours.

You can also notice that the English page is the only one that mentions East Timor, all the others mention West Timor or Indonesia. Oh honey, I'm wide awake. The thing is... you're telling me to stop using Wikipedia as a source yet you've just linked Wikipedia in multiple languages claiming them to be reliable? I fail to see any structure in your point. Also, fyi, I used the hyperlinks which Wikipedia provided as proof of validity. Some of these links may not be available, yes, but they must have been available at the time which provided sufficient evidence that this was the case. In this case, the hyperlinks were only available on the English page - meaning you just wasted a lot of time linking multiple international Wikipedia pages, my friend. The hyperlinks which were provided, [7] and [8], are the pages of national Australian broadcasters. Funnily enough, this falls into your list of acceptable categories; 2 to be exact. Also, that source you used is known as a secondary source. It compiles the evidence from other primary sources making it much less reliable itself. Wikipedia too is a secondary source but at least it directly cites where one should look for evidence. So yeah, don't accuse me of being negligent when you're the one that doesn't know how to prove the validity of sources yourself. I'm not saying that she has roots with East Timor 100%, but there is a high chance of that AS THERE ARE VALID AND RELIABLE SOURCES. To address your second point about realism and war: this is a fictional song contest -- get over it.
