Category 4:popularity of the video you send inoptions: not popular(1 view-5.000 views)/ common(5.000 views- 50.000 views)/ popular(50.000views-100.000views)/ very popular 100.000-400.000) worldwide hit(400.000 and higher) You can forget this category. YouTube was created in 2005, that means that most of the songs eligible to Retro WWWSC were released far before. Very few videos are available on official Youtube channels of artists or labels. Some very old songs were been put online recently and have very few viewers despite their popularity. Some of them are not available at all on Youtube.

I have a few notes of my earlier post about my lottery theme so here they are : 1. With bands I ment musical groups with 2 person or more 2. It is less complex then it looks like, I did some also some theme like this on a facebook eurovision group and it was a big succes! and Laurinda I'm willing to help you with the organosation if you need it. 3. About the category 'langugue'. When it is the USA or UK. when they get the ticket with 'english' langugue or most spoken languegue in the country which is also'english'. Then they have in both of the 2 possibility's the choose from an english song. So thats solved i think. 4. I just thought that I didn't explained how laurinda could draw a lottery number. Someone could choose a random number for her. Because Laurinda is the only one who knows what 2 categories are in which ticket. I hope I explained my idea a little bit better. If I need to explain further just ask me

Not a theme, but just a suggestion for #40 to ensure that everyone can participate in the jubilee edition. Just for Retro WWWSC #40, I think there should not be a limit of countries participating - even if it means having semi-finals. antheurovision22 Maybe instead of tempos, just common genres like pop (ballad), rock, dance?

Hi ᴛᴏᴍ ᴋʟᴏsᴇʀ, Nice that you brainstorm together with me, thanks for that Only I thought that it was more easier to keep the BPM thing because genre is also a feeling. If you know what I mean. Some songs have more genres for example. And genre in music is very subjective IMO. Maybe I could be wrong but thats what I thought But thanks for your help, help/tips are always welcome!

More ideas: - A keyword edition: Laurinda would give us a keyword (one for all or a different one for each player) and we would have to find a song related to this word. For example, if your keyword is "sea", we would have to find a song with "sea" (in any language) in the title, about the sea or with an official music video filmed by the sea. Laurinda could also give several possible keywords to small countries in order to reduce the difficulty of research (the goal is not to lead to a withdrawal). Or Laurinda would reveal a global list of keywords and we would choose our keyword when we confirm. - Surprising languages: everybody would have to send a song that is (totally or partially) NOT in English and NOT in a common language in the country. I define a "common language" as a language that is the mother language of a significant part of the population (the notion of "significant" could be discussed, seeing the situation of each country) and that is not a regional language (so any regional language would be accepted). I prefer to use this concept than the one of "official language" because some countries haven't clearly defined any national official language and because some languages are "official" in some countries but spoken by a tiny part of the population (German for Belgium for example). As I said, the song could be partially in English or in a "common language" but the extract chosen for the recap would have to be in a valid language. Of course, choosing a part of a song without lyrics or with "la la la la la" in order to escape to the rule would not be allowed.
