Laurinda what do you think of my idea for the theme BPM(beats per minute)? To seperate songs in these options: low tempo, mid-tempo en up-tempo. You can check the BPM with an app on your mobile, it's very easy. And I have the list when a song is an low tempo, mid-tempo en up-tempo song according to the BPM.

Not a fan personally as I'd have to check all my songs for example. And I have over 70 on my waiting list. Just my opinion.

Oh, Personally(IMO) It's not that hard, because you already know already when you listen to a song if it could be a slow or a fast song, thats my opinion. And after that you can 'REALLY' check if it's a mid-tempo or up-tempo song or just a slow song

I picked what I consider a slow song > here < , but it just happens to have a lot of beats. According to your list makes it up-beat ... I used this site: songbpm.comAlmost all ballads I have for Retro have an insane amount of BPM ... idk what else to say here.

To me genres are fine, I mean in most cases it's rather clear if one song represents a genre or not. Sometimes it's indeed hard to distinguish, but the player could explain it if it's not obvious enough. Generally we don't need to be very strict about it I think

I don't get why we even should be so strict at the speed of a song.
Just decide if it sounds fast by listening or not and that's it.

TLDR: Incorporating negative points for songs least liked; alongside positive or just negative points (a poll can be made for possible options should this suggestion win.)
I'm not sure how well it would work, but it'd be nice to try for once:
As most winners end up with around ~150 points, each country will have 200 points by default. Instead of giving 12, 10, 8-1 points, countries will give -12, -10, -8 to -1 to their 10 least favorite songs and the country with the highest amount of points wins.
In case users find it difficult to determine songs personally worse than others, perhaps users just give a list of 10 countries which would be subtracted ten points.
This system would result in the winner being the song which is most generally liked by the users; in a typical edition it would result victory of song with highest amount of voters.
(Another option would be giving positive and negative points; +12, +10, +8, +7, +6 and -12, -10, -8, -7, -6, so this suggestion is basically about incorporating negative points in some way.)
[note: as this is not possible with scorewiz, I could make one with PP for the edition.]

I normally want to give points to around 15 songs, which doesn't mean I want to give negative points to the rest. It's hard to rank 10, but to rank 20, omg . And in the other case, giving points to only 5 songs ... Maybe in some other contest? Or contest which is made like that from scratch? I guess with some tweaks it could be interesting.
