Due to the fact that we missed quite a lot of voters in the final of our 50th Edition just 1 day before the deadline, we decided to create a "Strikes System" which will be applied for the first time in WWW Song Contest #51. The system works with 'Strike Points' and it aims to punish those who are not punctual when it comes to voting in the semi final or in the final.
Here is how the system works:
1. Finalist not voting in final – 1 strike point
2. Non-Qualifier not voting in final – ½ strike point
3. Player not voting in semi-final – 1 strike point
NOTES:
• If the player does not vote in its semi-final, they can vote in the final but the strike point is not removed.
• If the player does not vote in the semi-final or in the final in 2 consecutive editions, the strike points of the latter edition get doubled.
• Every 3 strike points, the player cannot participate in the next edition (their place is not reserved either).
• If the player comes back after 3 strike points and gets 2 strike points again, they are kicked out forever.
• The strike points are counted for each player individually and they get removed only once the player is kicked out.
• Every 5 participating editions after the strike points get a non-zero value, 1 strike point gets removed.
Here are some example cases, to help you understand the system a bit better (the countries mentioned here are random):
1. The player from Palau does not qualify for the final of WWWSC #53. They do not vote in the final, so ½ strike point is added. In WWWSC #54 they don’t vote in their semi-final; hence 2 strike points are added this time (1 X 2). If they don’t qualify and do not vote in the final of WWWSC #55, then 1 strike point will be added (½ X 2).
2. The player from Mozambique has 2 strike points and decides to withdraw. Someone else takes part for the country right in the next edition. That player now has 0 strike points.
If the first player ever comes back, they will have the same points as when they had left.
3. The player from Nepal debuts in WWWSC #52 and receives his first strike points at the end of WWWSC #57. 1 strike point will be removed at the end of WWWSC #62 OR after the player will have completed 5 editions of participation. If the player still has strike points, the same procedure is applied. Otherwise (if the player now has 0 strike points), the 5 participating editions start counting once the player does a strike again.
Here is how the system works:
1. Finalist not voting in final – 1 strike point
2. Non-Qualifier not voting in final – ½ strike point
3. Player not voting in semi-final – 1 strike point

The table is filled with the countries and their players from WWW Song Contest #50. At the end of WWWSC #51, as well as at the end of every edition from now on, the table will be updated, in case any strikes are made or in case a new country/player joins.
