Australia is a different case.

To be fair, the only 24's given to each other outside the top 10 were by Greece and Cyprus, and they weren't that popular in televoting either.

Moldova's and Romania's songs were wildly popular (they didn't place in the top 10 for nothing) regardless of their partnership, so their votes for each other were less relevant if most of the public/juries liked the song. Same with Sweden, another popular country. The people liked Sweden's song, so Denmark's and Finland's to Sweden, although maybe biased, is just more points for a country the public likes. And none of the ex-Yugoslav countries gave to , so there was no opportunity to boo.

I do, get your point there about Croatia as indeed, the juries didn't really support it (which is not surprising actually ) but I was talking more generally, not particularly for this year. 

The thing is that even when Greece was in the TOP 10 (some years ago) and Cyprus was out of the final (hence we couldn't exchange points) people still complained when Cyprus gave Greece the top marks. So yes, you're right about Moldova and Romania, as well as with Sweden for this year's contest, but I'm actually referring to a more general issue. Romania and Moldova also exchanged points with each other even when none of them were in the TOP 10 btw (or at least 1 of them wasn't - usually the latter one).

That feeling when you were supposed to win or at least challenge the 1st place in the jury voting at the 1st semi-final but they decided to drop you out...

But past is past and I'm still proud of Norma John 

I'm so happy for Salvado Sobral and Portugal!  The victory is absolutely great as it was sung in native language and the song wasn't ordered from a foreign country. Taking in to account the country's miserable history in the Eurovision Portugal has done the same miracle what Leicester did in Barclays Premier League last year. I hope it will courage other countries to send next year songs in their native language. Also it would be amazing if most of the countries would send more traditional songs or genres where they are very good at.

Well, it flopped   I'm mostly surprised that it only got 6th in the televoting, but life goes on. Also I laughed a lot when I saw Australia getting only two points from the televoting 

I'm already starting to plan the trip to Portugal so I definitely hope I will see some of you there   See you next year!

My opinion regarding the results
Terrible winner, awfull song, I don't like him as person, his speech was not done. Congratulation to portugal for finally winning. Vania deserved it more tho.
Is robbed from their win. Congrats for the best placing for your country!

Well tbh I don't agree at all with the results.

You don't have to argue me for my Portugal statement. It doesn't make me a lesser fan or that is say I do not know what music is. Because taste differs. . I simply hated it. I am happy for the country. but that is all. I hope that next year won't be all boring. Because mostly they imitate the winner from last year :/ But oh well we will see. See you in Lissabon for the first time :DD (Or another city )

worth mentioning that in 2016, a returning country to the competition won, Ukraine, and in 2017 again a returning country won, Portugal. 
So in 2018 is it a chance for Russia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Slovakia, Morocco ?

I always founf Portugal cute and nice tho not amazing and it wasn't high in my top tho performance was amazing and I am extremely happy for both Salvador and Luisa (cute sibling moment aw) and for winning.It went in my top 10 and I am happy with a winner. I don't understand people who can hate Salvador seeing the winner performance between him and Luisa I mean cutest moment ever in esc

Lmao it's not like that it would have changed the results a lot. This wasn't 2003.
