Here in this thread you can discuss everything about our 71^st Edition in  Novo Mesto!

The submissions officially start now! Deadline: Tuesday, 9th of April!

The rules of the last editions apply, here they are:

IMPORTANT: Confirming isn't enough, just a submitted song guarantees your place in the upcoming edition! Only the first 51 spots are safe, the people submitting afterwards will take part in a Pre-Qualification Round and compete for the 3 remaining spots, making it a field of 54 in the "main competition"! The maximum number of entries so that there is no Pre-Qualification Round is 55.

Already reserved are the hosts, the Top 3 from last edition and those who voted as members in the Rest of The World Jury last edition. If any of these fail to submit an entry in time, the reserved place will be lost.

We're looking forward to receiving your entries!  

If you want, you may include a timeslot/recap part in your post, we play the songs 24 seconds.

If you plan to definitely withdraw or to skip this edition, please let us know as early as possible.

After an edition of absence, Bosnia and Herzegovina is returning to WWWSC in Slovenia, sending one of the country’s most notable musical artists of all time. For the first time, the Bosnian entry will be performed in the Italian language. It was composed as the theme tune of the 2013 Nordic World Ski Championships in Trentino. Meanwhile, to any connoisseur of Balkan brass, the artist will certainly not require any further introduction…

Goran Bregović (born 22 March 1950) is a recording artist from Bosnia and Herzegovina. He is one of the most internationally known modern musicians and composers of the Balkans, and is one of the few former Yugoslav musicians who has performed at major international venues such as Carnegie Hall, Royal Albert Hall and L'Olympia.

A Sarajevo native, Bregović initially gained acclaim for his work in Kodeksi and Jutro, but rose to continental prominence as the main creative mind and lead guitarist of Bijelo Dugme, widely considered as one of the most popular recording acts ever to exist in the former Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and one of the most important bands of the Yugoslav rock scene. After Bijelo Dugme split up, he started to compose for films. Among his better known film scores are three of Emir Kusturica's films (Time of the Gypsies, Arizona Dream, and Underground). For Time of the Gypsies, Bregović won a Golden Arena Award at the Pula Film Festival in 1990, among his other awards.

Bregović, during his 5 decade long career, has composed for critically acclaimed singers, including Sezen Aksu, Kayah, Iggy Pop, Šaban Bajramović, George Dalaras and Cesária Évora.

She's been a backing vocalist all her life to many well known latvian artists, for example, Aminata & Justs in their ESC performances, Samanta Tīna (this year in Supernova 2019), Lauris Reiniks, Aija Andrējeva etc. The list goes on... But now she has decided - she wants to come out in spotlight and start her solo career (obviously, she still sings as a backing vocalist to others as well). This is her debut single as a solo artist...
