Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who voted for Cyprus. I didn't have really high expectations, especially since I only qualified because of Greece and Bulgaria both getting disqualified... As for the results, congratulations to Canada for the victory! I personally liked the song but I found the edition quite tough and I couldn't give it any points but they were close. Congratulations also to Turkey for receiving a pretty decent result after quite a while (and this time I do, think it was more than deserved), as well as to Croatia for entering the TOP 10 of the final after 36 whole editions! I would have still preferred to see a more "creative" choice from the country but never mind. Also well done to Kyrgyzstan for achieving a TOP 10 result after a while. As for the countries that I find overrated, those are (ironic how some people complain about unoriginal entries, yet this still managed to come so close to winning), , and . Among the underrated entries, I'd include , , , and . Last but not least, despite the fact I consider to be underrated, I would like to point out how this was just a wildcard and it still won the 2nd Chance Round and almost reached TOP 10. I think it's worth mentioning and a nice example of how any song can actually stand a chance but just be unlucky to compete in a semi final without enough supporters.

Really disappointed results for Morocco almost last in such a weak semi.. Nice winner but there were others who deserved it more imo. Congrats tho Another edition who I don't agree that much with the results. BTW Samira has a new song and as always it's amazing 😍

The club of the underrated: Philippines (how, just how is this so low ) This isn't a surprise anymore. Clearly, there's a majority who is indifferent to Filipino songs in general, so...

The club of the underrated: Philippines (how, just how is this so low ) This isn't a surprise anymore. Clearly, there's a majority who is indifferent to Filipino songs in general, so... I don’t think it has to do with that to be honest...Because pretty much the same people pushed the country into their first TOP 10 placing last decade. I guess it’s just a matter of trying different stuff and genres, as well as a matter of luck, as this edition was for instance quite tough. Maybe this entry would’ve reached the TOP 10 had it been a weaker edition. But in any case, I guess it doesn’t have to do with being indifferent to Filipino songs but with just not liking the entry as much.

(I guess it's time to snap.)How long did it take to get its first top 10 placing since Philippines' debut? Philippines is objectively the unluckiest country in WWWSC. Our country can do better than being constantly touted as underrated by few people every few editions. I find indifference as worse than dislike (because at least you're remembered to a degree). Our country gets almost forgotten almost every edition because the entries that often get sent in this contest are generally so underwhelming. Countries that debuted much later than Philippines such as Ethiopia, Samoa, Indonesia, and Guatemala have passed us in the Nation Score, and that was before Philippines got its first ever top ten. Frankly, I'm disappointed in my birth country's history in this contest. In essence, this is a song contest, not a song showcase. I just know Philippines is capable of sending more competitive entries than... those. At the same time, we can still show off the musical diversity of our country. Choices. Alas, I can't influence what songs others want to vote for. Neither should I also allow myself to decide what songs Jericho should send, pero palagi tayong palpak!

I mean, you're basically just repeating my words You're saying it yourself that the entries sent are just underwhelming. So what do you expect from people? I don't think that in any contest, players will be like "Oh let's give this country and help it do well, because they're in general not very successful". Everyone just votes according to what they like and not according to how successful a country is. At the same time, you're referring to the difference between a song contest and a showcase. Unfortunately, the majority of the people taking part just want a good result and they don't mind sending songs that are not representative of their countries' music industry (many examples can be found from the earlier till the most recent editions). So obviously, if someone tries to send something that is more "ethnic" in some sense, it might do well and be highly appreciated but at the same time it might as well flop, because it might sound weird to people. That's just tastes varying. People get to choose what to send indeed but from the moment they decide to go with something, that should mean that they support it and that's what counts. The outcome is not to be decided by the one who submits though, it's the rest of the people deciding. You even mentioned that your country is unlucky. Well, exactly what I said; sometimes it's also a matter of luck. So what would you expect us to do for that? If, whenever they sent something good, the edition was pretty tough, then obviously it would be less likely for the song to enter the TOP 10. Philippines is also not a participating country in ESC (it might seem irrelevant but it still plays its role as ESC countries can send NF songs/artists or ESC artists who are more known and whose songs might be already quite known), so it is obviously harder for them to do well than it would be for almost any other European country or so. I also don't think it's appropriate to compare the fact that some countries which debuted after Philippines managed to get a TOP 10 result earlier; obviously they were lucky enough to send the right song at the right edition and the best thing to do is to congratulate them for their achievement. At the end of all this, it is just a song contest, so I wouldn't be disappointed about the results. There are much more important things in life and much more serious stuff to feel disappointed about.
